Sara's Adobe Casita was a mesmerizing and memorable stay on our trip through the Southwest. The location is beautiful with long-fetch views of the Sandia Mountains and spectacular sky. The casita itself was beyond charming; filled with art, cozy and comfortable. Our 4 days there could have easily been four weeks! Sara was a most responsive and enjoyable host...we will be back.
The Mud Houser is in a beautiful location. Views are spectacular. The property was just as lovely. Very much enjoyed our stay there and many thanks to Sara for being such a great host. We’ll be back.
The casita is a home away from home! Each piece of furniture was carefully selected and the walls were decorated with beautiful art work. Sara, the owner, was extremely nice and helpful with anything that I needed and responded to all my questions right away. The bed was comfy and sleeping underneath the stars in the hammock made me feel as if I was in heaven.
I was doing a retreat at Synergia Ranch and this is a perfect place to stay! It gave me the quietude and connection with nature that I needed and I felt restored and happy. I look forward to coming back to this magical place!

About the host
Hosted by Sara West
Welcome to the Hat Ranch Gallery Compound. I am a fourth-generation Santa Fean with a family filled with cowboys and artists. I delight in providing country hospitality to all and to making people feel welcome and cozy. I am a mother and now grandmother and love to take care of people, so let me know what you need, and if I can do it, I will. I'm all about peaceful, relaxing spaces and treading lightly on the Earth. My property and my homes are my sanctuary and I try to extend that to you, as my Guest.
Why they chose this property
This is a fourth-generation property that I would like you to experience and relax in. Savor the views, revel in the quiet and peaceful nature of the Compound. I want to share this magical space with my Guests.
What makes this property unique
Quiet. Peaceful. Relaxing. Rejuvenating. Filled with old-school Santa Fe history. A place off the beaten path, yet close enough to Santa Fe that you can do both.
