Cozy and welcoming stay!

We reserved a cabin for a long weekend with our college-age daughters. We had plenty of space for the four of us, and the kitchenette would make this a great place to stay for a longer time. Though we didn't get to use the fire pit, we enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the stars, and the location was perfect for visiting Wimberley and Driftwood. As an added bonus, the decor was cute and charming. We hope to return and enjoy Nicole and Mike's hospitality again!

Cozy Cabin in the perfect location

We had a fantastic time staying at RusTx Ranch. The cabins are so charming and thoughtfully decorated, we loved the butterfly/music cabin. We had everything we needed and Mike even brought us wood and starter for a fire, and sticks for roasting marshmallows. We were located close enough to Wimberley Square to make a couple trips each day for restaurants and shopping. We were close enough to go horseback riding in Driftwood and visit Salt Lick bbq & Treaty Oak Distillery. It was such a treat to get up early and hike up Old Baldy to watch the sunrise and be the first one at Jacob’s Well. Great location, great hosts, can’t wait to return!!

Do not recommend

Decent place but very terrible experience. We were told a week after booking our cabin that he had to move us cabins due to electrical issues. The day we left he let us know that the porch light and lamp would be on and that he would not be able to make our arrival. We should have been in “the lake house” cabin none of the cabins have names only numbers. We pulled in and only seen one cabin with porch light on. We used the code provided to open the lock box at the door (apparently all cabins have same code and that seems like a safety hazard). We in packed and went inside and went to sleep shortly after that. At 1:40am he was beating on the bedroom window saying that we were in the wrong cabin. We asked if we needed to move and he said no, that we were fine. We cleaned the cabin better than it was before to insure we we’re getting our deposit back only to find that we only got half back due to us being in the wrong cabin (which was not named and had the same lockbox code as every other cabin). We will never stay here again and I highly do not recommend.
