THE SPACE -

Basement mother-in-law apartment. Private entrance through back. Watch your head on low points but it’s done tastefully with style.

This is the perfect getaway for traveling nurses and those looking for an extended stay in SLC! Come visit and see everything SLC has to offer!

GUEST ACCESS -

You have the entire basement apartment of the home. You have no shared space (other than the backyard space. There will be guests in their own private space above you. You will have street parking only!

Family-friendly neighborhood. Please don’t block driveways. Drive slowly as there are kids on the street.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE -

Private basement unit.

People will have the rented space above you - please note that you will be able to hear the tenants above you.

Quiet hours are 10 pm-8 am. (Respectful all hours of course)

We do not want to get a phone call from our upstairs or downstairs guest to inform us that the other unit is too loud. Please do your part. Also, the house is remodeled but is older and the walls/floor/ceiling is not awesome at blocking noise. You will likely hear the floor creak and squeak sometimes and can hear the other unit people sometimes. Please be aware of this when booking. You may want to bring earplugs in case (especially if you are a lite sleeper) this place is a really great place for those who need a home base yet who are out and about a lot.

Parking on street only (plenty available) don’t block the street or neighbors' driveway. Please see the check-in guide (after booking on arrival day) for photos of street parking.

Pet fee- this is added to your stay after you book with the alteration tool and it is $25 PER night, not per stay.

HOUSE RULES -

1) LOCALS MUST MESSAGE US BEFORE BOOKING.

2) Occupancy limits: We do not allow more than 6 guests in this listing or on the property at any time, violation of which will result in the removal of all guests from the property immediately without refund. You also agree to pay for the "additional guest fee" associated with your reservation if applicable (just because it can sleep up to 6 doesn’t necessarily mean it's all included in the nightly rate). You understand that this is located in a nice family neighborhood and you agree to be respectful of noise and quiet hours. 10 pm-8 am. The ceiling is the floor of the unit above you and does creek and squeak a bit. It’s an older house, remodeled beautifully but has some things that show its age like the noise carrying through the walls/floors.

3) This is a self-check-in property: You certify that you are willing and able to follow the instructions that are being provided by VRBO through the house manual or check-in guide. You can find our house manual and check-in guide here on the VRBO platform on our listing. You also agree that you will not contact your VRBO host BEFORE reading the house manual and the entire listing.

4) Fees: There is a minimum $200 per day fee for every day of your booking if it is found that you have been smoking on the property. There is a minimum $150 LATE CHECKOUT FEE if you are there longer than authorized as our housekeeper charges us in such a case. You further agree to compensate the host/co-host in full for any financial loss that is suffered due to breaking the rules set forth. You agree that you automatically authorize VRBO support to remove your review if you leave a review after breaking any rules listed in our description.

5) Quiet Hours are after 10 pm-8 am.

6) Please remove shoes/boots as you enter the house. SKI Equipment and bike or other recreational equipment must be kept in our garage.

7) WE DO HAVE AND DO MONITOR OUR EXTERIOR SECURITY CAMERA(s) for guest count compliance and for the safety of our property and that of our guests. :) The front and rear cameras on the main house, the side Cameras, and the back yard and garage cameras, are motion activated and can record video and audio.

8) Alterations/Changes: Once you have confirmed your booking, any modifications to the dates or guest count may be treated as a cancellation and therefore be subject to the cancellation policy. The host retains the right to charge for lost dates you have removed with an alteration of at least a partial amount at the host's discretion.

9) Animal policy- we allow one small dog and charge a $25/day fee to help cover the short-term rental insurance policy. This is not an extra cleaning fee and you are expected to leave no sign that a dig was onsite when you depart. It’s our Zero Impact Pet Policy.

There is a $50 LATE CHECKOUT/EARLY ARRIVAL FEE if you are at the property without proper authorization from the host. You further agree to compensate the host/co-host in full for any financial loss that is suffered due to breaking the rules set forth.

March Madness crash pad
A buddy and myself were in SLC for the NCAA basketball tournament. The Cozy Casa was a quick drive to the delta center and fit our needs perfectly. Great stay, but Samford was robbed on that call at the end of the game. No way was that a foul! Stay here with confidence!

Great Stay
We have stayed in this place for 2 weeks. The host, Adam was very responsive. The basement rent was clean and warm. it was good for long-term family stay. The location is effortless to access anywhere in SLC. I wish they could have 4 people dining table instead of 2 people tea table.

Wonderful Week
I feel that this was a great trip. The host was v ery responsive to my inquiries and also took great feedback. Wonderful hosts and great handyman makes a great stay. This was a great day. The house were communicated. They were very nice. I had people come over and fix things. The only thing I would say is that this is not a place that most people who have disabilities I would recommend stay because it does have some steep stairs if you’re blind though you can do it you just need to pay attention to what you’re doing and go down the stairs hold the rail they were very responsive they were very understanding very caring.
