About this property
Brutalist, artsy, large terraces, 170 m2, parking, view, AC
The apartment is on the top 2 floors of a 5 floor building over nearly 170 meters, with sprawling decks and river view. You can’t get more light: it streams into the flat from 3 sides. You can sleep 2 couples easily, plus there is a sofa bed in the open office area and a single room with a bunk bed.
It’s one part art gallery, one part family home and one part office.
There is a large erotic non explicit image on the wall. We live here with a teenager and a 10 year old. In France this is not shocking, but its definitely not the home for you if this is bothersome.
Ideal for offsite or remote work. Desk area has 3 large work stations. Downstairs bedroom is small, with a queen size bed. The other room has a bunk bed, top bunk is suitable for children ages 8 and up. There is a pull out mini bed that can work for younger children. These rooms share a bathroom with shower.
This is the Paris of young Parisians, on the tree lined Canal Saint Martin. Walking distance to La Villette, the technology and art hub of Paris. Students, professionals and young families stroll along the streets that are closed to cars on weekends. The bike corridor is perfect for connecting to all the safe bike lanes in Paris. Secure bike parking in the building. In the spring and summer the banks are covered with picnics and musicians. Picturesque bridges criss cross the canal, and street art thrives.
You will not see chain stores or hordes of tourists. There are only concept stores, small owner operated restaurants with an array of international cuisine: vegan, California food etc… You will be 15 minutes walk to Le Marais, Republic and 20 minutes walk to the Louvre.
In one direction the neighborhood is up and coming in the other 3 directions it is completely gentrified. The building has security camera and large elevators.
- Because of the quantity of plants and fragile aquarium, we have included a twice a week, three hour cleaning visit by our housekeeper. You can choose to not have him access the bedrooms.

About the host
Your host

SF native, who has been fortunate enough to spend my summers in the south of France since I was a baby, and am very familiar with all the different ways to enjoy these regions (as a kid, party/debauchery teenager and now a mom). I currently live most of the year in Paris and can appreciate glitzy glamor and grundgy fun. We run a humanitarian foundation out of the space.

The other room has a bunk bed, top bunk is suitable for children ages 8 and up. There is a pull out mini bed that can work for younger children. These rooms share a bathroom with shower. There is a small office area shared between these 2 rooms.
