I messaged the host on the day of the trip and several times after. I got no response, we were trying to get information about checking in but still no response. About 4 am Friday morning my family was at the site and there was no way for them to get in , I then called support to explain that my family was there and still couldn’t gain entry , the support team got her /host on the phone and she complained about having to let them in at 4 am when all they had to do was to respond and send us entry instructions. I requested them on Thur am and got no response. This was very unacceptable… we were supposed to be able to get in at 3 pm on Thursday but didn’t gain entry until 4 am Friday morning. Again we never got entry instructions … the host came out and let them in … !!! Please check the messages to verify. They are all there
We had two families of varying ages stay in the cabin. There were 2 living areas which allowed us to have some separation. The kids loved the upstairs game room. The large dining room made it possible for us all to eat together. We had a great time.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin. Perfect for our family of four, plus Gram and Pap. Everyone had ample space and comfortable surroundings. The home was well-stocked with all necessities, including towels, sheets, and a full kitchen. It is clean and well-kept. We loved the pool table, video games, and hot tub; the location was perfect. Just far enough from downtown that we felt secluded during our downtime, but close enough to all the activities of Gatlinburg without traffic or a long drive. Looking forward to returning and, until we do, highly recommending this property to other families. Thanks for the hospitality and the excellent property that made for a wonderful vacation.
Hummingbird Hideaway did not disappoint! This property is very spacious & pretty much supplies the necessities needed for a stay. The 3 BRs are each very private. We found the TVs to be tricky, but we made it work the few times we needed to watch. There is no TV in the one upstairs BR. The driveway is no joke folks, but we saw several that were just as steep. We were blessed with bear excitement multiple times during our stay (check out the fresh scratches outside the DR window around the MBR deck; 'baby' bear did it right in front of us). My husband & I enjoyed the Frogger & Pac Man. We can't wait to book your property again!
A cozy place to enjoy family time in a walkable beautiful area.
Our family gathered here to enjoy a combination of nature adventures and tourism. This home was a great fit for us. A comfy first floor bedroom and accessible shower for the elderly grandparents, a rec room for the kids, cozy bedrooms with fans. Our only hiccup was getting into the home because of the door code not being programmed correctly but this was swiftly resolved with a phone call. Our noise sensitive teen felt the air conditioning was loud in the rec room the kids slept in. Something to consider if you have an auditory sensitive child and need the bedrooms for adults. He got over it :) Loved it and hope to revisit!
Cabin was awesome, clean, well stocked. We were visited by the bears. They climbed in the back of our truck & tore the cover. Didn’t hurt the Truck anywhere else. The girls loved seeing the Bears.
Property and location was excellent! Very pleased would definitely stay again. 10 minutes or less from everything in Gatlinburg. Living room area was small, but every other room and every other part of this cabin was very spacious. Extremely pleased. Saw bears the first night and next morning playing around the cabin. Communication was flawless and no issues whatsoever.
We saw bears lounging right outside our doors and windows and felt perfectly safe. Cleaners could be more thorough...found a half eaten chocolate bar under one bed and teapot was full of mold, chips under a chair, dishes and Eating utensils were not clean. Small bits of broken glass right outside back door by hot tub cut sons foot on the first night. Other than the cleaning issues the house was perfect for us and we enjoyed our stay.
This was my first trip to Gatlinburg, and it was for our nationals dance competition at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. The home is so beautiful, spacious, and more beautiful than the picture depict. There was more than enough space for myself and three children. The home is large with ample seating for meals. All appliances you may need to cook with are already here! The roads can be intimidating, but you are in the Smoky Mountains and this is expected. The hot tub was very nice, there are two balconies with seating, plus the outdoor patio with a table and 6 chairs for meals outside. They’re decorated with lights to add a relaxing ambiance. The game room was nice for the kids and adults, too. I loved having a washer and dryer so that when we got home, all the clean clothes can be just put away. It was just a 5-10 minute drive to right downtown on the strip. I loved being in our own area without all the people and traffic, yet being so close to everything downtown. It was truly perfect and we will absolutely stay again! We did see a younger bear twice in the property and it was incredible to see!
My family booked this cabin for Father’s Day weekend as a last minute excursion and were pleasantly surprised with all the unique features. There was a hiking scavenger hunt book that was free to use, along with a picnic basket and portable cooler! We went to trail that was in the book that we basically had to ourselves along with only one other couple. At the end of the trail was an actual steam engine that was a hundred years old that had gone off the rails into the ravine!! So cool! Management responded to any of our needs within 5 minutes! You just don’t find great service like this anymore!! I will only book with ALM cabins for any repeat trips to the Smoky’s!!
Had a wonderful time at this property. Beautiful accommodations in the mountains overlooking Gatlinburg. Exceptionally clean with all the amenities. Would love to return here for another stay!
