Comfortable, warm, reflective and rustic hunting cabin; many people have rented it over the years for hunting or guys weekends; girls weekend away; skiers escape or just a romantic weekend away. With the high speed internet and amenities, I’ve used it to write books, reflect and just work. Being snowed it during the winter or just hiding away amidst the Fall foliage, it’s a fantastic and private retreat. The Full kitchen amenities and washer/Dryer, or the AC or cast iron Fireplace, make it a very comfortable place to retreat away.

Rick was a tremendous host - extremely responsive and helpful. Great spot! Tranquil location and a wonderfully cozy cabin for our family. My kids are already asking when we can go back.
This property is perfect if you are looking to get out and escape from society while still being nearby to restaurants and civilization. This beautiful little cabin is set up on a hillside away from any neighbors. It was the perfect place to bring our pup and have a cozy getaway! Dr. Rick was a pleasure to communicate with! He checked in with us several times and was super responsive to any questions I had. Possibly the best rental we've been to on the East side of the country! We hope to return soon!
This cabin is a wonderful stay for those who want to avoid hotels and love the outdoors. The cabin is nestled in the low-lying mountains around Montpelier and has quiet, gorgeous woods surrounding it. It's a bit of a bumpy ride getting there but we were amazed it was only took 15 minutes to get to downtown Montpelier.
The cabin does only have one bedroom but it has several beds and a great wide screen HDTV. It has great, high-speed Internet and a gas fireplace. The shower is amazing and the kitchen was fully stocked. Rick, the host, was communicative and ensured we had an excellent stay. We highly recommend this for small groups who are comfortable sharing a room and want the best of all worlds in the Montpelier region.

About the host
Hosted by Dr. Rick Roque
I love being a host and sharing my property with guests so they can experience the mountain living in Vermont – not far from ski resorts and great local restaurants in and around Montpelier;
Why they chose this property
I bought this property from my father – it has been in the family for nearly 100 years – it is in a mountain hollow, nestled in around thousands of acres of land, so it is very private while only 7 miles from downtown Montpelier- it’s perfect for being secluded and at the same time not out of touch
What makes this property unique
this properties unique because of its accessibility to Montpelier and your ability to work remotely with enterprise class fiber Internet – it is serene and perfect for working and family getaways
