What makes this property unique
Our property was built in 1939 and while it's not in the historical district, it was owned by an historical person from town. Frenchie was a local lady, a renowned artist, provided an animal sanctuary and had a pet seagull named Joey! She even had an annual day named after her Frenchie Day! She also built one of the infamous dune shacks on the Peaked Hill sand bars and started the Dune shack preservation society. She added an addition to this house in the image of a dune shack. When we initially purchased the property we planned to knock down and rebuild. After three years of the permitting process we had fallen in love with the quaint and oddly built house and decided to love and revitalize it instead! Hence the Dune Shack was so named!
