About this property
1930's Style Apartment by Downtown
Step back in time to the early 1900's with a touch of modern to boot. You will love the warmth of this apartment, from the Murphy Bed to 1930's penny tile and original hardwood flooring. Live a little Colorado Springs History as you enjoy your stay.
The space
As soon as you walk through the door you will feel like you just stepped into your own home. That's how welcome you are.
There is a private entrance up the front porch directly into the apartment. There is also a back door to the patio.
No need to worry about getting to the supermarket right away if you arrive late, a breakfast snack is provided. The kitchen is equipped with popular spices, a coffee maker, French press, toaster, blender, gas stove, microwave, and a full size fridge.
The restroom comes with all the soaps you need to freshen up: shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hand soap and towels.
The living room comes with a queen size Murphy Bed for two guests. There is also a Smart TV, and a DVD player with a few movies.
High speed Internet is provided to make your stay more convenient. The code is on the fridge and will be in your welcome letter.
Please be aware, the guest below you have their room just below your bed, high heel or heavy walking is a bit noisy on the wood floors.
There is a COIN laundry available on the lower level of the house. A screen door located on the south side of the house leads you to the laundry room, also known as "The Dungeon." Laundry soap is provided.
Parking is on the street or behind the house ( there are two spaces, one for the guest in apt. 4)
A welcome letter will be sent to you a few days before your arrival with access information. I give you the code to enter the apartment at that time. No need to worry about meeting up with me because you do not need a key, it is actually very convenient.
Guest access
The entire apartment, laundry room, street parking, and back patio is available for your use.
Other things to note
This is an entire apartment with front and backdoor. The house was converted from a one family home to 4 apartments many, many years ago in the 1950's. Being this is a very old house it does have the characteristics of one; other guest in the garden level can hear if you are walking heavily on the floor so please be aware. This gem is my favorite apartment my husband and I have remodeled.

About the host
Hosted by Shelley Rose

My name is Shelley Rose. I was born into an Airforce home and never really new where to say I was from. But now I call Colorado home. My husband, Danny, and I have been married for 38 years and we live in Palmer Lake, just 30 minutes north of Colorado Springs. We have two grown sons, one married and two precious grandsons. We travel a lot to Sweden to visit our former exchange student and his family. We are the American grandparents:) Our next big project is building our Overlander and traveling off grid. We love to travel and host.
Why they chose this property
I love this neighborhood. I love the friendly neighbors, the older homes and being able to walk to the coffee shop.
What makes this property unique
This property is unique in that it used to be a one family home until is was converted into four separate apartments in the 1950's. Each apartment has a different time period theme that my husband and I designed. We also did all the work remodeling.
