Gorgeous House with Sauna + Hot Tub + Sleepout at Omaha Estuary

Come stay at this gorgeous family-friendly home and luxuriate in the private spa! Included are an infrared sauna, ice bath, and a hot tub! No matter the weather, the spa will make your stay a memorable one. The house also comes with 2 paddle boards, 6 bodyboards, 2 cruiser bikes, a surfboard, and a kayak. The sleepout, which has its own bathroom, makes it ideal for multigenerational families and big groups. Located only a 5 min walk to the estuary and a 5 min drive to Omaha beach and Matakana.

Matakana region is the perfect getaway from Auckland. Only an hour away, Tawharanui, Goat Island, and Omaha Beach all offer unparalled beauty and a chance to unwind in nature.

When you first enter the house, you will be greeted to a gorgeous, sun-splashed sun-room that is cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

The house is tastefully decorated with modern decor and features a kitchen any cook will love. All three bedrooms in the main house are warmly accentuated and the master bedroom contains a TV. The main house bathroom has heated floors for those chilly nights.

Just off the back deck is a sleep-out cabin that features its own microwave, coffee pot, mini fridge, bathroom and shower as well as a small living area. Adjacent to the living area is a spacious bedroom with two queen-sized beds and its own small sunning deck - perfect place for kids or those who want some space from the main party!

The back yard deck is covered so you can barbeque and eat outside even in the rain. The large dining table seats up 10 or more!

The spa deck features an infrared sauna, an ice bath (plus a cooler filled with two bags of ice), and a hot tub. If spa is not your thing, there is a bar counter for those who want to have a drink while others relax.

Loved the space and location
The location was wonderful and the main house was clean and modern. The website and guide book was extremely helpful. Unfortunately the neighbours complained because the kids were outside playing at 4pm and “too noisy” which was a bit of a down buzz on the rest of the trip as they were just kids playing in the back yard.A lot of effort has gone into the organisation of the house and it’s a wonderful area to stay

This beach house is a great find - the rooms were all comfortable and had what a visitor needs - comfy beds, nice linen, enough towels and basics in the kitchen to make cooking etc easy. The multiple living rooms, spacious back yard and separate annex were perfect for our 3 generation-family and the spa/sauna/ice bath topped off the fabulous stay. The location was excellent - general store a minute's walk away, estuary/harbour 2 mins walk away and all the beaches, boat ramps, shops etc within a short drive. Highly recommended - you won't be disappointed.

This was the perfect place for our girls weekend away. The house was perfect to stay in. We were a bit unlucky with the weather. The sauna and hot tub are awesome. The house has everything you need.

Mid Winter Getaway
Property kept very well clean and tidy. Spa and sauna only one used the spa was good. Very comfortable beds and excellent decor. Kitchen well equiped and we did enjoy cooking although a few of the dishes needed a clean. We did have a problem with the fridge the freezer had iced up which meant was not operating properly we cleaned it out and it is now working. Overall we would go back and stay.

As a group of friends this house was perfect for our stay, roomy, clean, a great location, a spa pool to relax in.The host was extremely helpful. We ordered a food platter from their "extra's" option and there was a huge and delicious platter ready for us on arrival. Highly recommend this accommodation

Was fabulous overall but some minor discrepancies between the listing and actual details; some resolved beforehand (check in and out times) and some weren't as unaware until we got there (no ice for bath). Well equipped with most things needed including pantry items. TV was a bit slow and gitchy. Was quite an expensive nightly rate. Detailed guidebook which was so helpful! But overall, a fabulous mini break from the city which we all enjoyed!

A peace of paradise
We had a lovely weekend away, amazing spa and sauna! Afternoon sunshine and tennis across the road. Matakana markets and Omaha beach a short drive away. Loved every minute! The house has everything you need and super comfy beds. Thank you Natasha and Craig for being such great hosts!

Fabulous all round!
Wonderful house and facilities, with plenty of room for 8 adults. Easy walk to estuary and beautiful view along the beach water. Ate Saturday lunch at The Farmers Daughter which was outstanding. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I (our two sons) have been living in Point Wells for the last 10 years. We also own the local surf shop in Matakana, Summer Sessions. We are avid surfers, foilers, paddleboarders and swimmers.

Why they chose this property

This cottage belonged to my parents, who have since moved away. It is named after Lake Muskoka, a beautiful wooded lake located two hours north of Toronto, Canada. In the 1940s, my grandfather built one of the first cabins on the lake and my family spent every summer there until 2006, when we had to reluctantly sell it.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is intimate yet spacious. It has a relaxed aura about it, and as you gaze out the back yard from the kitchen window, you can't help but breath a sigh of contentment. It's family friendly and a perfect spot for family gatherings, small weddings, group outings and more. With a separate sleepout that has its own bathroom and kitchenette, it's easy for families to host multiple generations.
