About this property
The Green Cabin - 10 min from Sugarloaf, 30 min to Rangeley!
Cozy, two bedroom cabin on 3+ private acres in charming Hedgehog Village with views of Cranberry Peak and the Bigelow range. Conveniently located within 10 minutes of Sugarloaf, Stratton/Eustis, and Flagstaff Lake.
Enjoy a well-equipped kitchen, WiFi, and a backyard fire pit while spending time in the Maine woods.
The space
The cabin has two levels, each with a bedroom and a separate entrance.
The upper level includes a bedroom (queen bed), 1/4 bath (toilet only), kitchen, and living space. The living area includes a drop-leaf table that can be tucked away or expanded to seat 4+ as you need. French doors open onto the deck to give lots of light and great views across the valley.
The stairs to the lower level are a bit steep and narrow (feels a bit like living in a tree fort :) - please keep this in mind if you’re traveling with small children or anyone with limited mobility.
The lower level includes a bedroom (full-size bed), full bathroom with washer and dryer, a second living area, and a small shop with a ski-storage rack and workbench with basic tuning tools.
Other things to note
The cabin sits toward the top of the steady hill that is Mountain Road. It's a dirt road that is maintained by the town, but that said, you should be prepared for potentially snowy traveling in the winter. Snow tires, AWD, or 4x4 are recommended; especially if you are hoping to catch first chair!
Our driveway accommodates 2-3 vehicles in the winter, and 3-4 vehicles when there is no snow. Our plowing service will clear the driveway when we have 4+ inches of snowfall. Shovels are provided to clear the entrance and deck as needed.
There is no street parking available.
