Step Back in Time at Darlin Daisy

We can't wait to host you at Darling Daisy Retro Retreat!! Make memories with family and friends retro style camper that sleeps 4 people. Glamp in style in our 2017 Retro Riverside Trailer modeled after the Teardrop or Canned Ham trailers that were popular from the 1930's to the 1960's. Darling Daisy is tucked away on a lush East County hillside. Enjoy a perfect blend of vintage style and deluxe amenities. Private entrance. Ample free street parking. We welcome everybody to our home.

The Space:
Daisy's Retro Retreat has everything you need to enjoy a super fun San Diego vacation.
Darling Daisy is a spacious vintage style trailer, with approximately 250 square feet of living space. It is located next to our other retro trailer Retro Bettie. The bedroom has an ultra-comfortable Queen bed that sleeps two and we have provided a smart Roku TV in this room where you can also snuggle up and enjoy watching a bunch of streaming channels. The trailer has tons of storage. Please note that the height of the RV inside is 6'4" tall so if you are a very tall person, you may not fit very well.

Darling Daisy is the red trailer and resides next to our other vacation rental trailer Bettie. There may be guests staying in Bettie during your stay, so please be careful only to use your designated parking spot and yard area to prevent disturbing other guests who are in close proximity. When checking into the RV please be mindful of noise and be respectful of other guests in close proximity.

The common area consists of a super cool vintage style booth where the whole family can enjoy a meal! We have a small stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster oven and sink. The trailer does not have a traditional oven. The kitchen is stocked with a pod style coffee maker, tea and coffee, and basic kitchen needs like cups, plates, bath towels, wine opener, cooking utensils, pots and pans and silverware. The trailer is set up to create a small meal but we hope you try out all the amazing restaurants surrounding the area instead! We even have a washer and dryer available for use close by the RV!!
Daisy is also equipped with two comfy twin bunk beds and a bathroom with a SMALL shower. Daisy is cooled by a ceiling AC unit and heated with a furnace. For entertainment we have a Roku Smart TV in the living room and master bedroom as well as a built-in stereo and bluetooth speaker. We provide all bed linens and bath towels.
The RV is located off of a quiet street with quick freeway access. Ample parking is available just outside the gate of the property, only steps away from the RV.
We do allow one dog, but please note that dogs are not allowed to be left alone in the trailer at any time. El Cajon can get very hot and although the AC will cool the trailer down, if it were to break, the trailer would heat up like a hot car and we wouldn't want anything to happen to your fur baby!

As your hosts, we strive to provide everything you need for a wonderful stay. We want you to have as much fun in San Diego as we do!

Parking is easy and right outside the trailer. Your parking spot will be designated with a sign.

Please note that El Cajon can get very hot in the summer months.

Guest Access:
The trailer is located off a private drive, with lots of parking and passcode entry.

Our two other rentals are available on the same property and are just a short distance from one another. Miss Bettie Blue is a retro-style camper that sleeps 2 people and is a perfect blend of vintage style and deluxe amenities. Birdie’s Hillside Hideaway is the perfect tiny home getaway fit for two. We have a few more rental options located in Ocean Beach and North Park which is 25 minutes east of the coast. In Ocean Beach we have Green Door Cottage by the Sea. - For stays over 7 days, we provide a starter kit only of paper towels, trash bags, linens and coffee/tea. Alberton’s grocery store is located 5 minutes away for you to gather more supplies once you run out
- You are able to utilize the outdoor areas located directly outside of the RV but cannot utilize the outside area of the private residence.

Interactions with guests:
We will be around, and happy to help with recommendations or directions. We can interact as much or as little as guests prefer. We are always available by phone and live on premises making it easy for us to troubleshoot any problems.
