Fantastic

The property was everything I had hope it would be. It was warm and cozy fory October stay. The livingroom gave me the sense that I was on the pond. Bernadette responded quickly to any questions that I had. I hope to return next year.

Peaceful and relaxing

We just relaxed and brought our dog{Cinder} with us. The three of us ventured out to several towns and enjoyed going and walking Cinder down the streets of Concord. What a beautiful city! Had some wonderful meals. And meet some very friendly people. At the cottage we read, a little TV, some walks. Hope to come up sometime when the weather is warmer to enjoy the lake!

Northeast trip

Very comfortable cottage, felt like home. After a long day of sightseeing it was wonderful to come “home” and enjoy the scenic views from the windows. Jim and Bernadette are awesome hosts. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Breathtaking water view!

This cottage was clean, welcoming and it has a beautiful full view of the water! Everything you would need is there. Full kitchen, spices, water for drinking. We absolutely loved our stay here. Our son and his wife just moved here and we drove from WI to spend time with them. We even got to bring our dog along! Thank you Bernadette for sharing your peace of paradise with us! WI to visit.

Perfect family vacation

My family had a wonderful 4 day stay here! The house was very clean, and kitchen stocked with all of the supplies you will need! The view of the lake is amazing, and having water access steps from the door was perfect! It’s a great location for the pups too! Our dog had the best time swimming and lounging by the lake. Definitely recommend this property!

A Slice of Heaven

Our vacation was amazing. The home was very well stocked with everything you may need, from the kitchen to the outdoors. It was very clean. Very quiet area. my family and i have stayed at a bunch of different properties, and this house is our favorite so far. Pond Front Cottage

The property has beautiful views of the pond and forest. The water is right outside the door with plenty of floats and boats to use. Nice fire pit in the front where we spent a lot of time simply relaxing. When you head inside you can chill out and watch tv or play games. Stayed for a week and had a great time!

Cozy & quaint

Such a beautiful property! And easy to find. My favorite part was the large living room with the windows and views of the pond - just breathtaking. The cottage is so well maintained and cleaned with lots of considerate details and amenities. For instance, I wondered if we'd need drinking water before arriving but couldn't stop to pick any up - to my surprise, there was plenty of drinking water jugs provided. And we brought our dog, and when we arrived, there was a doggy bowl of fresh water waiting for him! So thoughtful. Also there's a coffee maker complete with filters and a coffee grinder which was very helpful. I was so impressed with Bernadette & Jim's thoughtful correspondence leading up to and during our stay. They really care and try to make sure you are well taken care of. It was also a bonus running into them while walking our dog!! Very sweet people. Thank you to the Allans for opening your home to travelers. Stay here if you want a quiet escape near water with a cozy cottage ambiance.

Wonderful cabin on secluded pond

We had a wonderful stay at the Allan cabin! It was even better than expected. It is very accurately portrayed in the listing, and was even more secluded/peaceful than we anticipated. It was such a peaceful, beautiful place. The cabin was very well equipped and there were many amenities. It was so fun to hear the loons at night. We had a great time in the pond (our dog loved it) and hope to come back one day.

Perfectly Peaceful

Everything was perfect, exactly as described and then some. I’m so grateful Bernadette and Jim decided to host guests in their lake home, to share such an incredible place with others! The pond was gorgeous, the home charming and comfortable, the amenities spot on. We relaxed, unwound, enjoyed ourselves so much and made great memories with our little family; it’s rare to find a place that not only allows but welcomes dogs. Thank you again, our stay meant a lot to us!

Beautiful location but no sheets and hovering host

It was a beautiful location, but linens are not included to our surprise. The host was watching us from the house next-door our whole stay and unfortunately didn’t really get that privacy feeling. It wasn’t until we were getting ready for bed we realized none of the beds had sheets which was shocking. The host is married to a fireman so making a fire in the back yard is prohibited and you end up only being allowed to have one in the mosquito infested front of the house where the host can monitor you. I would recommend staying here if you dont mind peeping Tom’s.

peaceful bliss

Pictures do not do this peaceful beauty justice. Home like, so comfortable. The view from the living room was gorgeous. Bernadette and Jim were wonderful hosts, they thought of everything you might need or forget to bring. Since we've been back home I've missed the property so much! 10 out of 10 recommend

SUCH A GEM!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property. Right on the pond, small boats to borrow, great swimming place, cottage with several amenities...it was everything we could've wanted for our family vacation. So many beautiful memories were made here. Our hosts were only a text away, and were very accommodating and kind. It is evident that this cottage is well-loved and taken care of. Hearing the loon calls at night was especially beautiful. This place is tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the world, and gives you what you need to take a deep breath and enjoy the serenity of the nature around you. I hope to be booking this for the future.
