About this property

Sunset Mountain cabin with 2 decks, sauna, net hammock & massage chair

Happy summer! This cabin is a 3-level, 2, 200 Sq. Ft. cabin is nestled atop a mountain view, in the heart of nature, offering peace, relaxation and serenity. A paradise away from the city buzz, this area is famous for its stunning sunsets and peaceful surroundings. The perfect getaway for people who want to disconnect from daily life, relax and rejuvenate in nature.

Start every morning with a fresh cup of cafe-style coffee with our Espresso machine, and eat like kings utilizing the smoker, grill and pizza oven. The net hammock attached directly to the back deck creates a unique experience for relaxation, and the barrel sauna facing the mountains ensures the best view of the sunset.

Driving on top of the mountain, the Sunset Mountain Cabin provides two driveways on your left for parking; upper parking by the cabin, and lower parking by the garage. After stepping out of your car, you will immediately feel more relaxed thank you to the water element bubbling in the front yard, and the small garden by the fire pit that will be in its full bloom during summer months.

When you walk into the main floor, you will be welcomed by beautiful mountain views and an inviting living room area with a piano and a stone fireplace. Main floor has a full bathroom and a master bedroom with a queen size bed.

From the kitchen you will find an espresso machine, toaster, kettle and all the other basics that will ensure stress-free cooking experience.

The open loft with a queen size bed and half bath is cozy, intimate and perfect for those who appreciate personal space without sacrificing community. You can observe the main floor and the beautiful mountain views from the comfort of your own space.

Downstairs from the main floor you have a a spacious basement with a queen size bed in an open-floor concept, second full living room with a massage chair and smart TV, full bathroom, and washer & dryer. From here you will also have an access to the lower deck with multiple seating areas, fire pit, net hammock and a barrel sauna.

You will have the entire cabin and both driveways to yourself.

Note that the closets are locked to keep the owners personal items out of your way. Garage is also kept locked for your safety.

There are 3 security cameras outside the cabin for safety: one by the front door, one by the back door, and one downstairs above the door.

Other things to note:
The road to the top of the mountain is dirt and gravel. It is well maintained and wide, but it is still good to note that there is only one road up to the top of the mountain and during busy seasons or heavy rains the road might get a little bumpy. 4-wheel drive can be helpful, but the road is nothing a regular car couldn't handle. Local permanent residents drive up the mountain daily with 15mph speed limit, that should be respected by all visitors.

Friends weekend
Great stay. Had some rain so not able to utilize all amenities. Drive was a little more than expected but the view was worth it. Enjoyed the weekend.

Getaway with the girls
The overall cabin is very nice, stunning view everything was as advertised. The owners had coffee, water and snacks on hand for our arrival. The road is ruff but easily possible. We had a great weekend with our daughter and daughter in law.

Beautiful, relaxing stay
Listing photos for the property were completely accurate. The cabin was clean and the hosts, David and Salla made sure all comforts were available from coffee pods and toiletries to a fantastic massage chair. My friends and I went for a girls week-end trip and it couldn't have been any better. The only challenge to the stay was the road that leads to the cabin was intimidating for this flatlander! I would absolutely return to this property again.

Great family getaway spot
We took a small spring break trip to disconnect for a few days. This property was a perfect spot for such an outing: ample sleeping space for our family of 5, room to gather as a family in the evenings to watch a movie, and wonderful amenities for all to enjoy (espresso machine, Traeger grill, barrel sauna, pizza oven). Communication before and during the visit was outstanding, and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. We’ll definitely be back!

Great Getaway!
We loved the cabin and the view was awesome! The road getting there was a little too much for me. I wish the cabin was an easier ride but due to the road we will not return.

About the host

Hosted by Salla Cho

Host profile image
Salla and David are an Atlanta based couple. Salla is originally from Finland, while David's roots come from South Korea.

This couple enjoys the peace and quiet of the nature, spending time with friends and family and cooking top-notch steaks.

Why they chose this property

Our cabin was bought as a getaway from the busy Atlanta-life. North Georgia mountains have always been our favorite hiking area, so it was only appropriate to get a cabin from there.

The barrel sauna, which is our newest addition, is Salla's favorite part about the cabin making her feel cozy and at home, as she grew up with one in her house in Finland (Fun fact: Finns have approx. 2 saunas per household).

David enjoys cooking and makes his killer reverse-seared steaks on the smoker and grill provided. He loves sitting on the deck, enjoying the nature while smelling the beautiful aromas from the smoker, that fills the surrounding air making our neighbors jealous.

What makes this property unique

We already mentioned the sauna, cafe-style espresso machine, smoker and grill. What about a net hammock that is built into the lower deck? Lay on a blanket and enjoy the weightless experience of floating on top of the valley, while a sweet breeze from under the deck keeps you cool on those hot summer days. Massage chair will top of your evening and ensure a good night sleep.

If you like pizza, the Ooni pizza oven is your best friend. It will prepare the most delicious pizza in under 90 seconds.

Like massages? The basement has a full-body massage chair to ensure you get to relax while watching a movie or after a sauna session.

How about a smokeless fire? The main deck provides a Solo Stove that ensures a great evening hangs without the tears or constant moving around to run away from the smoke.
