A sweet conglomeration of tiny lodgings on a day camp tucked in the woods just 20 minutes from downtown Ithaca. Owner made us zucchini & blueberry pancakes and coffee for breakfast, just because. Good vibes, would stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Eshay Rausch
Hi! I am Eshay and I am your host. I live in a 1-Room Cabin at Camp Earth Connection 6-months of the year during camping season w/my canine companion, Druid. I am fortunate to live my dream life! I love: Connecting with both local and diverse guests from around the world; Spending most of my wake hours outdoors; Cooking meals over the fire, Teaching and sharing information with guests on topics such as Outdoor Living Skills, Sustainable and Regenerative Outdoor life; Flora and Fauna (wildlife and plants/trees) awareness and identification; Caretaking the land and facilities; And working with the Camp Earth Connection team to offer guests a wonderful camping experience.
My life's work has included designing and implementing outdoor spaces and activities that are inclusive and anti-biased for families, children and adults to connect with nature and each other. Camp Earth Connection started as a children's camp and in 2015 evolved into a Woodland Campground & Retreat and Environmental Educational Center. Camp Earth Connection provides a welcoming space to all, with a warm welcome to individuals who identify as LGBTQ, as well as people from the BIPOC Community who may not have always felt safe in wilderness settings; And to all people who want to share a peaceful and amazing experience in nature.
Why they chose this property
Camp Earth Connection is a beautiful and serene camp, nestled in the middle of the Hammond Hill Forest. Your hosts Eshay and Druid(camp pup) will greet you when you arrive and give you an orientation to the camp to help you get acclimated. Camp Earth Connection(CEC) is a small campground with just 18 camp/cabin sites, plus adjacent to the camp, in Eshay's Forest, there are 3 additional cabins/cottages with full amenities. When you stay at CEC, you have the opportunity to camp at your comfort level (or challenge yourself with less amenities) and experience nature in the raw.
What makes this property unique
Guests can choose to have some peaceful alone time or be more engaged in our small community during our community campfires, Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Camp Earth Connection offers a free Saturday Morning Campfire Pancake Breakfast.
CEC offers individuals and families a chance to connect with each other and nature in a peaceful beautiful setting. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited to ensure this peaceful atmosphere and to allow folks to find serenity through our natural environment. CEC welcomes and values people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. We do our best to make sure our guests feel safe, cared for and respected. We of course expect the same in return.
At CEC we are environmentally conscientious and do our best to preserve the natural surroundings and natural resources. We incorporate composting and recycling into our daily routine. We understand the importance of reducing the amount of resources we use, and re-using and re-generating whenever possible.
