We really enjoyed this place. It was quiet, clean, and our teens and dogs loved it. It was a fun place to come and “unplug” and spend some time together.
My boys loved fishing on the dock and using the kayaks and seeing turtles and small alligators!
The house is so much larger than we expected! Very open and roomy. The property also has a boat ramp and boat house. The large fenced yard was so great for my 2 dogs. It was great!
We had a great time at this place. The fishing was good and the house itself is really cool. Lots of older antiques and things that remind me of my childhood. We will be back.
We absolutely loved our time together. The house has plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat, and mingle comfortably. The lake was beautiful as well. Our family will remember this trip for years to come!
Enjoyed our stay, cabin was clean and spacious, loved having access to the boats and kayaks. Will definitely stay again soon! Also, the host, Tara, was very friendly and helpful!
Love the location. Nice get away if you love the outdoors. One thing could make it better if blinds on all windows where the guess will fell more cover
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner was quick to respond to any correspondence. It appears there are some improvements in the process of being made to the home.
This was a traditional vintage fish camp that was perfect for our stay. It is right next to Lake Seminole State Park which made a good day trip so the kids could swim. The scenery was perfect and I really enjoyed watching all the birds at the bird feeder. Very quiet and serene
House was very clean and well stocked. Open floor plan allowed plenty of room for everyone. Yard was mowed and well kept. Quiet neighborhood with lots of wildlife. We will definately be back.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Likes and dislikes
Likes:
- dock
-outdoor fireplace/grill
- tin roof (when it rained)
- porch
-available boat and kayaks
- The size of the common area
-pool table
- kitchen
- decent fishing
- new fruit trees planted
Dislikes:
- grass had not been mowed and weeds were knee high
- overgrown brush everywhere with snakes. My dog couldn’t run in the fenced in area with fear of him getting bit.
- beds were not ready, and the sheets I found were old and stained. Along with the pillows.
- dock is leaning and may need repair in the future.
This place has a lot of potential, as I see some upgrades y’all are trying to make. It’s like a diamond in the rough. Y’all are fortunate to own such a place.
I like clean linens and towels, as that would have made a big difference in our comfort during the stay for little money.
The concrete boat landing strip was a saving grace, as we didn’t have to question every step in the tall grass headed to the dock.
With the upgrades, we would come back. Thank you for hosting.
Wonderful time. The yard was perfect for our dogs. The gates kept them in the yard. Endless supply of hot water. Very roomy. Private boat ramp- dock. Saw lots of wildlife. Baby gators along with a few big ones. Great stay would stay again.

About the host

Hi there! Me and my family are from snowy Wisconsin. If you can imagine 2 foot deep snow piles, you can see why we move down here to sunny Georgia.
Why they chose this property
It's quiet, peaceful, and has a wild lake that is my dad's favorite to fish and boat upon. Te wildlife is astounding. Tens of turtles popping up, fish swimming by the dock, and multiple little alligators who sun on the downed trees. But I have to say it's the blackbirds that are my favorite, even when they get so loud you can hardly think, and their groups so voluminous, they fan the wind through your hair.
What makes this property unique
A blend of charming history and new updates, this is a great place to relax and detach from the business of life. You get to slow down in nature while still finding the comforts of home. Lake Seminole is truly a one of a kind place.
