Our stay at Beau's Bungalow was Outstanding! The Cabin and Lake was gorgeous, very clean with all the amenities
Loved the fire pit, kayaks, pool table, etc.
Great location to hiking and dining and super peaceful just hanging at the cabin.
Super Host Cynthia was a delight -
We will definitely be back - best stay ever!
A great place to stay! We had a good time and the camp was great. Ryan the property manager was awesome right from the beginning very accommodating with any questions we had. Can’t wait to get back up to chemo pond and beau’s bungalow
We had an amazing 5 days! Our teens were well entertained and so were we adults! Hiked Chick Hill, golfed nearby, cooked a lobster feed, boated around the lake, roasted s’mores, played pool, had lots of laughs and made lots of memories! Hope to come back! Big thanks to Ryan for offering so much hospitality!
The property was beautiful inside and out! Everything was incredibly clean and welcoming. There was plenty to do from board games to kayaking! Sadly we were only there for one night, I wish we had more time to enjoy it!
What a lovely sanctuary this was to end our vacation. We had travelled quite a bit and this was a lovely way to pause and just enjoy the beauty of Maine. The home was clean and comfortable. The property was well tended and beautiful. And the pond and kayaks offered a chance to enjoy the water. We loved it and look forward to venturing back some day.
The hosts of Beau’s Bungalow were exceptionally communicative during our stay that occurred during Hurricane Lee’s visit to down east Maine. We had a loss of electricity with a very smooth transition to an automatic generator that provided us plenty of “juice” for the rest of our stay. The house remained cozy and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the “rural-ness” feel and incredible views of the water.
What a great place to escape the world! It was such a great place to sit on the porch in the morning, read the paper and listen to the loons. We kayaked, we napped, we had a fire and ate s’mores. Property owner called me a couple of times to make sure everything was good and Ryan, the property manager, was fantastic! He lives near by and helped with a couple of things we needed. The property had such nice little touches and the night lighting made it awesome. I wish all owners and property managers were this on the ball, it made it all the better. Thanks for a lovely time!
We absolutely loved our stay! The bungalow was very clean and comfortable, easy to find, and check in was a breeze. The kitchen was well appointed, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the windows let in a ton of natural light. Chemo pond is so peaceful and spacious, and we loved kayaking, swimming off the paddle boat, and taking in the beautiful scenery. The loons on the pond add to the surreal atmosphere on the dusk and early morning paddles. The drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia was easy, with several places to stop along the way and incredible hiking trails in the park. And I can’t say enough about the wonderful hosts, who made sure we were happy during our stay and even kindly mailed us a few items that we mistakenly left behind when we checked out. We can’t wait for our next trip to Maine and will certainly look forward to return to Beau’s Bungalow. Thanks for everything!
We we’re 5 adults, traveling to take part in a bike race. Our friends lost their babysitter and last minute and had to bring their 4 year old along. I was worried, but the swing set was a life saver and after bedtime, the adults had plenty of places to hang out and talk without waking him up in the loft.
Also, several places we’ve stayed recently have not been able to actually accommodate the number of guests they advertised. Not the case here. Probably the best appointed kitchen we’ve seen in a while.
We’re already planning a return trip

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Not ideal for family with children
We all enjoy our visit to Maine , the bungalow was clean and well stocked . Our 2 night stay stay at Beau’s bungalow definitely won’t be a highlight of our 2 week trip . Inside ,the house is not very well lit it’s pretty dark .The property over all is not very kid friendly there are signs all over the place with rules and detailed instructions . We have a 8 yrs old and 11 yrs old girls and teenagers (there’s security cameras watching you )You can’t just let your kids out to play in large back yard while you relax. The lake is pretty nice .
