Welcome to "A Holler From Helen"! This cabin sits just off the beaten path in Clarkesville which is located 15 minutes from Downtown Helen's Alpine village and some amazing wineries!
We feature the perfect space for a couple's getaway, a small family getaway or a couple of couples seeking fun and tranquility.
Enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, rafting, zip-lining, strolling (and snacking) through the adorable German town of Helen, breweries and our personal favorite, the Award Winning Wineries of North Georgia.
Sip your morning coffee or evening beverage while sitting on the porch admiring a beautiful horse pasture with seasonal views of Lynch Mountain. Also overlooking the horse pasture and Lynch Mountain is a relaxing Hot Tub that will surely relax you after a long day of activities.
This 1.5 acres lot offers a wooded area that includes a beautiful outdoor firepit for some memorable gatherings with friends and family. Smores required / ghost stories optional.
The inside includes 2 King Beds (one on the main floor and the second in a large loft), a full kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave and Kuerig. Stream your favorite shows and movies on the large screen Smart TV that sits right above the beautiful wood burning fireplace.
We are dog-friendly and even have an indoor bed for your fur-baby, a dog hammock for the screened in porch and a kennel for you to use when you are out and about. Yes, you don't need to drag that kennel from home with you on vacation! ** Please note that there is a pet fee for one dog. If you are bringing a 2nd dog, please add the additional pet fee called "administrative fee" of $25 when booking.

Great Family Time in Helen Area

We stayed at A Holler From Helen for 2 nights over the kids' spring break. The communication from the hosts, Dennis and Cindy, was prompt and so helpful right from the start after booking the cabin. I asked for a couple of recommendations for coffee and dining in the area and they did not disappoint with their suggestions prior to arriving. This helped us tremendously in mapping out our limited time in the area. The directions to the property and check in made the process very simple. The cabin itself was wonderful. The inside was clean and well decorated w/ personal touches from the hosts. There is a peaceful, screened in porch for morning coffee looking over the beautiful back yard and a horse pasture. There were plenty of activities for the kids including ping pong and cornhole. We enjoyed evenings and mornings in the hot tub (big enough for all 4 of us). While the weather didn't cooperate for us, the fire pit looked like a great place to chill and make smores. We would have loved to have another day or 2 here! It was a wonderful property and I would definitely book here again when back in the Helen area!

Beautiful and quiet.

The hosts were terrific! Left special treats for our dogs. All the little touches inside the cabin made this trip extra special. The furniture inside the house is very comfortable. Do wish the cushions on the deck furniture were better, they are very thin. The driveway is steep, so glad we drove our truck and not the minivan. It rained during our trip so we didn’t get to try out the hot tub or fire pit. The owners had left beach towels by the hot tub and supplies to make s’mores. Such thoughtful gestures!

Great home base for waterfall hikes

I had a wonderful four night stay here and couldn’t have asked for better! The house was such a peaceful retreat in the woods and had everything I needed. Brought my golden retriever, Sunny, who loved the screened porch and yard overlooking the pasture. This is the most pet friendly place that I’ve ever rented - so welcoming to dogs! The owners were so great with communication and gave me great recommendations for hiking in the area (which was why I was there.) Very close to Helen which is a unique, little town! I appreciated all the little touches the owners provided that made this a great getaway for my first time hiking in Georgia. I definitely hope to go back! Much exploring to do!

Perfect cabin.

My husband and I stayed here for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The owners put up cute decorations, which was so thoughtful. There are a lot of small touches inside and out that make this property special. The owners had great communication and the cabin was perfect for our trip. This location is far enough away from neighbors to have plenty of privacy while still being close to Helen and great hiking spots.

Amazing!

We had an amazing stay! We were celebrating a birthday and they made it extra special with birthday signs and decor. Very clean, cozy and tranquil! The owners have thought of everything you need to have a stress free stay! Very close to Helen and has a scenic drive by an Indian mound on the way.

Wonderful cabin!

I can't say enough good things about this cabin and the hosts. The cabin itself is lovely and comfortable, and stocked with everything you could need. The hosts were quick with communication and very thoughtful. As people who often travel with their dog, I can easily say that the hosts live up to their promise of being not only pet friendly but pet welcoming. We had a wonderful week here, and will definitely be booking here again on our future trips to the area!

Anniversary

Going above and beyond to make our stay a special one. I had surprises of my own but the welcoming banner and chalk board were great. We had a great time in Helen with the good food and nature walks it was a plus that drive were short and nice to have a place we really felt like home after a long day. Will definitely be booking again.

Perfect Honeymoon

We came to Helen for our honeymoon for the first time. We absolutely loved it. We didn’t bring our fur babies, but next time we definitely will! The peace this cabin brings you is so spectacular. Then environment is so beautiful and the drive to anywhere is just as breathtaking! My husband and I will definitely be back this cabin for many years to come.

Tucked away but still close…

This cute little cabin was tucked away, peaceful and relaxing yet it was also close to shopping, grocery store, and attractions. We enjoyed seeing wildlife, a friendly horse, and neighborhood dog! Amazing spot in the heart of everything

We had the best experience with this cabin in the woods! The owner was fantastic to work with and all of her recommendations for dinner and wineries were spot on! We spent a day relaxing on the screened in porch watching a mama deer and twin babies! The cabin has everything you need and more! We will be back!

Perfect little anniversary getaway

The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and have this stand out as an above average stay! We were greeted with happy anniversary banners, along with dipped strawberries and champagne. They even had a pup-cup ice cream waiting in the freezer for our little pup, Beau! It’s in a perfect spot to explore Helen and the surrounding areas. Or, you can choose to relax at the cabin for your whole stay. Plenty of things to keep you comfortable and entertained. I definitely recommend staying here; we will be looking for a reason to come back!

Outstanding Cabin

Best Place We’ve EVER Stayed

This was by far our best experience. The place was gorgeous and spotless. Our hosts thought of ever single detail from complimentary smores, doggie biscuits to a different kind of towel for bathing, makeup, hot tub, even extra beach towels for tubing. The beds were very comfortable. Our hosts were so kind and helped us celebrate our 30th anniversary with balloons, signs and surprises. Truly we cannot recommend enough.

Family Vacation

The cabin was absolutely wonderful! It was cozy, clean, and secluded just enough but still close to everything we wanted to do. The hosts were amazing and left not only a personalized sign for my family, but also left dog treats, doggy ice cream, a crate, and doggy beds (inside and out) for my two fur babies! The hot tub and hammock were perfect for relaxing while our kiddo ran around with the dogs or played ping-pong. My favorite part was sitting on the porch, reading my book, and drinking my coffee in the morning while listening to the birds chirp and the wind blow through the mountains! We 10000% would stay again and recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in the area!

Relaxing and comfortable

It was nice to stay in a place that doesnt make you feel like just a customer. Cindy and Dennis were communicative, but not overbearing. The place was personalized to our stay and included treats for our doggos. It was great to find a dog friendly cabin that easnt just dog friendly, but catered towards dogs!

Quiet and peaceful

We had a nice stay. The place is adorable, quiet, peaceful and clean. Has everything you need for a relaxing getaway! We had an unfortunate accident happen while we were there and the owners were very responsive and on site right away. Aside from the incident we enjoyed our stay! Would love to go back!

Hostess with the Mostest

The most amazing and relaxing stay! Our host spared no detail! We walked in to the perfect space with a personalized welcome! The cabin was super clean and smelled amazing. There was a well stocked coffee and tea bar, popcorn, a s’mores kit, an ice cream treat for our pup and so many other nice touches that made our getaway most special. She was super responsive to all of our questions and the guestbook provided additional information. Thoughtful consideration for guests was a top priority for our hosts. You will not be disappointed!

A Holler from Helen Christmas getaway!

Our family had such a wonderful time with our little Christmas getaway. The cabin was perfect, the view of the mountain from the porch was beautiful, and we all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had a relaxing, peaceful stay. The sweet horse, the neighborhood dog Buster, and being able to cook Christmas dinner helped to make it feel like home. We cannot wait to return in the near future!

Thanksgiving in Helen

My family and I had a wonderful stay at A Holler from Helen. The cabin was clean and cozy. The beds were very comfortable and both my husband and I were talking about how comfortable the pillows were! The hot tub was warm and relaxing after we ran a turkey trot 5k. It was just what we needed! The location was excellent! We spent time in Helen, Dahlonga, and even took a day trip to Atlanta to go to the Aquarium! The hosts were responsive and helpful! They even gave us a delicious recommendation for Thanksgiving dinner at Vahalla Resort. We would love to come back to stay again and explore the area some more!

We are Dennis & Cindy. We visited the Helen area often and enjoyed the wineries. So much so that we decided to move here! We love everything the area has to offer and love sharing it with our guests.

Why they chose this property

We chose this area because we feel it is the best of both worlds. Very private and secluded, yet very close to our sweet little Bavarian town of Helen. We are just five miles to Helen and close to Georgia’s award winning wineries and some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Georgia. It is the perfect spot to get away from it all, be near all the fun of Helen or a mixture of both. We love our cozy cabin & think you will too.

What makes this property unique

You'll drive to the end of a half mile long gravel road to a quaint 2 bedroom cabin. We are very dog friendly and offer a hot tub, fire pit, fireplace, king beds with amazing linens, a full kitchen and a screened in porch to relax on. Sit back, relax and unwind in the Georgia Mountains. Why rent a hotel when you can have an entire cabin to yourself? If you’re coming to the mountains, fully embrace it by living the real mountain life!
