Gorgeous Remodeled Beachfront with Air Conditioning - Well. priced!

This ground floor, tropical oasis is only steps from the ocean and lies between two beautiful beaches with another protected beach in front. The sunsets and 180 degree ocean views from your lanai are amazing!.
News: We just completely remodeled our kitchen, painted throughout, and updated the bathroom. You will find a new pan set, new silverware, and dishes. The stainless appliances are top notch. Our well equipped kitchen features sunset and ocean views and has a Keurig coffee machine along with a traditional drip machine. Along with soaps, you will also find paper towels, plastic wrap, tin foil, salt & pepper and other spices, as well as coffee filters. (You will have to purchase the type of Keurig coffees you want.)
There is great air conditioning in both the bedroom and living room. Now you’ll stay cool on the hottest days! We also feature a $7500.00 queen bed in the bedroom that is very luxurious...like sleeping on clouds! Last but not least, we also replaced the uncomfortable sofa bed with a futon. Besides being a comfy couch, it is also a very comfortable bed with good support.
Our bathroom features a shower with lots of hot water, a "rain" shower head with another shower wand for hair washing...all with good pressure. Along with the shower there is a large tub for pleasurable soaking. (It is also a jacuzzi but it is not working. which is why we don’t advertise it.)
We just purchased a "smart" flat screen TV for your viewing pleasure and have lots of books for you to read as well.
On our oceanfront lanai, besides a chair and table set and comfy lounge chair, you will find beach chairs, an umbrella, and other beach gear. We have privacy storm shutters that can be closed but still let in the breezes.
Miles of warm, calm, shallow ocean right in front of you make this a great place for those who don't swim well, as well being great for snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking. You can see turtles, dolphins, whales and other interesting sea life. You are also close to great surf spots.

Special amenities are:
1. Air conditioning in the living room and bedroom.
2. Large oceanfront lanai with eating and sitting area with great ocean view. Comes with a table and 4 chairs, a a new lounger so you can lie down for a rest. Fronting the lanai and before the beach is a smooth, green lawn with chaise lounges for those who want to sunbathe without the sand.
3. A full size in-unit washer/dryer that is brand new.
4. Large TV and WIFI in living room.
5. On site award winning restaurant in front of ocean.
6. On site ocean front pool with lounge chairs.
7. Rooftop deck with barbecues and picnic tables. You can see all over the island.
8. Oceanfront barbecues and shuffleboard.
9. Close to all of Maui's famous South Shore beaches...some of the best on the island.

We enjoyed our stay in Kihei. It was so nice being on the ground floor, sitting outside on the patio in the mornings drinking coffee, and watching the ocean. I really loved seeing all the sea turtles popping their heads up as we took our daily early morning walks along the beach. Everyone we met (locals and visitors) were very friendly. Aloha! firstarrived.

We picked this rental for the location and were not disappointed! I would say this is one of the best located units in the building. Uma was quick to respond when we needed her. The A/C was awesome and we really enjoyed the kitchen amenities including the blender and smoothie mixer.

Amazing Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo. It had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. We have stayed in many condos in Maui throughout the years and I can honestly say that this condo had the best location. We loved sitting in the lanai to watch the beautiful sunsets while having our cocktails in the evening. We loved being so close to the ocean. Uma, the owner, responded right away to the questions we had. We definitely plan to rent this condo again when we return to Maui in the very near future.

So so very close to the ocean
The sheltered patio was our fav place to eat, relax and watch gorgeous sunsets. Being able to just step out onto the soft grassy lawn was also a plus. The rooftop was great for whale watching but binoculars made it even better. The A/C kept us cool and the bed was super comfy. Fabiani's restaurant may have changed chefs or recipes because we couldn't even finish one serving of their lasagna. We highly recommend Pizza Madness and Andaz Lehua Lounge for a special evening with live music, on the ocean and great food. Von's Chicken in the Azeka shopping center will keep you coming back. And the Maui Ocean Center is a must do! Uma was friendly, a great communicator and very helpful with any questions or needs we had. Thank you for helping make our trip so memorable!

The place was nice with a great location. The views were unbeatable. The condo itself was clean with a nice stock of beach chairs etc. The only damper on the trip was communication with the host over toiletries. I am used to vacation rentals having basic toiletries, however finding none here, I sent a message to the host asking about it in case I had missed them. All she had to say was sorry we don’t provide any. I would have been fine with that. She however replied very defensively and sent me multiple messages saying that we are not a hotel and lengthy texts about what they provide which hotels don’t, which was completely uncalled for. This wasn’t my first time in a vacation rental nor was my question so unreasonable.

Best view!
We've stayed at Menehune many times and this, by far, has been the spot with the best view. There was foot traffic being on the first floor, but that didn't bother us. Plus it was much more convenient to reach the beach/pool/BBQ's/etc. The sunsets were amazing. Uma was wonderful and responsive. We will be back. :)

Million Dollar View
Uma was easy to deal with right from the booking process through to the checking in and our stay. The condo is right on the ocean, Beach is right there. BBQ’s are easily accessed. We considered going to other beaches and ended up staying at this beach the whole time. Super convenient and almost felt private for the condo building. We would definitely stay here again!

Maui Memories
Our stay at Menehune Shores was very enjoyable. Perfectly located and close to everything we wanted to see in Central and South Maui. Our hosts David and Uma went out of their way to update their condo's technology even running back and forth across the Island to the Spectrum store to purchase new equipment so we didn't have to unplug (as much as we may have wanted to!). Very gracious people who will go the extra mile to ensure your stay meets your dreams. Maholo nui!

Our stay was great. The condo was clean. The view and sunsets off the lanai were amazing! You were able to see the sea turtles swimming right on the beach outside the backdoor. Highly recommend staying with Uma!

Great house in a great location. The two mini splits were plenty to keep the whole area cool. Can’t get over how comfortable the bed was! Uma left numbers to contact in case we needed anything during our stay. Overall a great experience and as described!

Amazing view!! Property needs updating though.
Overall we had a positive experience. The view is breathtaking! It was nice being on the ground floor - to be able to just walk out of the living room onto the lawn, and enjoy a meal outside with the view of the ocean. The pros: The decor was nice. Having a second couch was a bonus since there was 4 of us. The master bed was very comfortable. The AC worked well, and having two units - one in the living room and in the bedroom kept the condo quite cool.The kitchen was stocked well enough for our needs. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also very convenient. The cons: The property is in need of updating. The refridgerator was rusty and leaked all over the floor, not all of the burners on the stove worked properly, and the counters had a sticky feel to them. The bathtub was dingy, and the hair dryer was very old and the cord was frayed. We were glad for the beach chairs and umbrella, but they were very well used. The towels and pot holders were also very worn. We enjoyed the pool and the use of the BBQ grills, but the pool code was wrong (or didn't work), so another family gave us theirs. Lastly, we stayed 8 days, but were only given 2.5 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, one dish sponge, and dish detergent that was rock solid. We bought more, but then found a stash of supplies locked in the bedroom closet. It would have been nice to have known that earlier. Overall, we had a good time, but would most likely stay somewhere else next time.

Short Stay in Maui
We came to Maui for a friend’s birthday party and stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. The location was close to the airport and easy to locate. Our unit was ground level so the beach was right there and the property had a small pool for cooling off. Parking requires a permit but the office is closed at 2pm on Friday for the weekend so if you come after that you need to make your own sign for your car dashboard with the unit number rather than obtaining an official one. Parking is tight but we were always able to find a spot. The check in process was very easy and the condo was comfortable for two people. Air conditioning was available in the living room and bedroom that made the stay pleasant. Overall a very nice visit with these accommodations.

Great condo, great location!! Well-equipped. Needs a little bit of repair on a few things in the unit--bedroom closet door, sliding glass door, transom above front door, tv cable box only works intermittently, light on lanai does not stay on-- it acts like a motion detecting light. But the unit was wonderful!! Thank you!

Great location, nice property.
The location of the property was great and we took advantage of some recommendations left in the condo by the owner. The negatives were that some items in the condo need updating... peeling cabinets, tub isn't pleasant and some items in the listing were not there or broken. I believe I saw at one time that there was a king size bed. It was a queen but comfy. Umbrella was broken and there were no coolers available. Also, the floors left your feet black. Not deal breakers, for sure, but just some areas for improvement if one desired. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Tenth Wedding Anniversary
Stayed here for our tenth wedding anniversary. We honeymooned in Lahaina. Wanted to do something more laid back this time around. Wonderful complex, beach was literally just a few steps outside our back back door. Could not have been more pleased with our choice to stay here.

I have been living in Maui for 20 years and loving every one of them! I am a Maui artist working with jewelry and photography, showing my work inside the Lahaina Arts Society Courthouse Gallery and outside at the Cannery Mall on Friday and Saturday when I am on island. I've published eight books and have also recorded over 18 music and guided imagery CD's. I live upcountry in Haiku where I have a small macadamia nut, fruit and tropical flower farm surrounded by palms, ferns, trailing vines, and lush, green, nature. I also spend lots of time at the beach where I love to swim, snorkel and catch waves. When you're visiting, feel free to ask me for recommendations about my favorite places on the island.

Why they chose this property

I chose this condo because of it's fabulous location. It was completely remodeled in 2006 with a bathroom remodel in 2018, a living room remodel in 2020. and new air conditioning in 2021 . It's hard to find a condo that's any closer to the ocean than this one is. Not only that, but it's close to all of Kihei's restaurants and entertainment, but well away from it's noise and activity, so you've got the best of two worlds...privacy, peace and quiet with amenities!

What makes this property unique

I stay at this condo myself when I want to get away from the rain in Haiku. It's almost always warm and dry. Since I love to be in the ocean I especially enjoy being able to just step off my lanai and into the water. I especially like the sunset views and the rooftop deck. There are only two Maui condos that I know of that have the rooftop deck. From here you can see all over the island and it's great for having gatherings. Every evening as the sun sets someone blows a conch shell for the most lovely sunset 'salute.'
