5 Star Luxury Exec Family Home - Covered Hot-Tub and Walk to Village/Ski Lift/AC

This luxury home is located in the Exclusive Big Springs area of Northstar which is just down the "Home Run" ski-lift from the Ritz. It comes with free shuttle service to the Village and access to the Homeowner's Recreation Center's pool, fitness equipment, game area and courts. This home has an airy spacious feel with many windows and good sun. The house is very clean and is in excellent condition. The extra large covered hot-tub is fun for all after the daily adventure.

We spent an entire year living in this wonderful newer home in Northstar with our family of 6. It is the perfect mountain getaway, summer or winter. Come enjoy the woodsy setting and contemporary mountain decor. When there is enough snow, you can also ski the fire road back from the 'Home Run' trail to arrive back at the house. You can ski from the house to the Home Run lift which takes you the Ritz and mid-mountain when there is a good snow.
You can snow-shoe or hike up to the Ritz for lunch and a hot-chocolate or walk along the road. You are sure to enjoy this wonderful mountain home. Take the kids down to the village for ice-skating, the Northstar Rec Center Arcade or Hot-Chocolate.

The playroom includes a kids play area and numerous games and toys. Extra kids skis and boots are in the garage to use freely.

Perfect for families at Northstar

It is hard to find any faults with this property. It was perfect for two families on a ski vacation. The kitchen was excellent and has everything for cooking large meals for a crowd.

Beautiful home, perfect for multiple families skiing

Hands down the best place we've stayed in Northstar. The home is beautiful with a great kitchen that made preparing meals for our group super easy. The shuttles were super convenient, door to village - and worst case the ski down Home Run + 10 minute walk to the house was really not bad either as an alternative.

Great ski house

This ski house was huge and well maintained. Very comfortable for 3 couples, and could have fit many more (especially kids). The shuttle to and from the mountain is excellent, as was the snow plow service during a winter storm. House has two tvs and games for the days you may get stuck inside. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend.

North Star home gets a gold star

Second time staying here and we had a wonderful time. Location is amazing close to everything. Kid friendly and dog friendly, everyone had a great time. Fully stocked with the best kitchen stuff, everything you need for cooking.

Perfect Northstar House

Deb's house is just simply excellent. We had a wonderful stay and it was so nice to be close to the village. Plenty of room for our family and friends. Would easily say here again!

Wish we stayed longer

Great place for families with kids of any age. Lots of toys and things to keep everyone busy. Northstar is a destination resort with both winter and summer activities and the upscale neighborhood is beautiful. This choice worked out wonderfully for all of us.

Fantastic House for a big group

We had a wonderful time at this home - It's truly a home. Not a house stocked with discount items from Home Goods. The kitchen was well stocked and we fully enjoyed the fireplace. The owners got back to us immediately with any of our questions. We went during the massive snow storms of 2023 so there were no ways to walk to the village unless we wanted to scale a glacier, but it does look close enough to walk if trails are open. Didn't matter though because the Northstar shuttle picks you up right at the end of the driveway. Overall great stay. Would definitley do it again.

Wonderful Home

We had an amazing time staying here! Our family of 8 had plenty of space and thought we could comfortably have more in our group. The house was just as advertised and is well cared for and supplied. The kitchen was great for fixing large family meals. The bedrooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. There were more than enough sheets and towels for everyone, even special towels to use at the covered hot tub! Deb and Sarge were great hosts and available very quickly when we we had a question. The shuttle service from the house to the village was quick and very convenient. Be sure to download the Northstar Village Transit app to use the shuttle. We hadn’t downloaded it yet and Sarge scheduled a ride for us before I could get the app downloaded. We are already discussing plans to return next year!

Wonderful Winter Vacation Spot!

The home was very well equipped and stocked with essentials. Very clean with plenty of towels and linens for our group of 10. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for a large group. The location is perfect for skiing Northstar and the free shuttle service was very convenient. We would definitely stay again if we come back to ski Tahoe.

Fun in the cold for Floridians

This family home provided a cozy comfortable vacation stay for our multigenerational group. Conveniently located with great shuttle services back and forth to the village. Owner was easy to reach and always helpful. Overall, we were very happy with our accommodations and skiing vaca.

water valve issue

The property was great (kitchen had everything, beds were comfy, bedding great) but anytime the water was turned on, there was a whistling noise. (Irritating in the middle of the night)

excellent 5-star home for extended-family vacation

Excellent location and home, no need to search any longer as this is a perfect-stay with air conditioning in the bedrooms, great family room & deck for entertaining and cooking/bbq. Hot tub is a huge plus and the beds are v. comfortable. Nice in-between location to Truckee and the Lake. We drove to Northstar Village, it's a long walk if it's hot, but Starbucks and village pool were also a nice addition, when needed. Overall, great stay away from the crowds of the lake front, v, peaceful. Close to lake-view hikes and Tahoe City or Incline Village shops and beaches.

Such a great house

Just a beautiful location and home. You could walk to the village easily. It’s well appointed tons of towels and nice linens and cozy bed. The kitchen is well appointed and stocked with basics. It’s clear the house is loved. We had 8 people and it was probably almost too much house for us but it was glorious! The property manager was extremely accommodating and responsive when we had a slight plumbing issue. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Everything you need and more

Absolutely gorgeous property and amazing experience. I’ve stayed at a lot of resorts and private rentals and this is one of the first where the description is UNDER STATED. The owner provide so many personal items of their own for you to play with or use (everything from skis to paper products to tools). Most places I stay are bare minimums or slightly exaggerated descriptions but this was the opposite. We stayed for winter but I’m sure a summer stay is equally amazing. Highly recommend.

2022 Truckee ski trip

We had an amazing stay! The house is so well stocked and spacious. Plenty of room for everyone and a dog or two. Kitchen had everything you needed and more. Comfortable beds and roomy living room. Hot tub was a great addition and helped out after a long day of skiing.. Would love to come back here again after a big snow! .

Great house for families

We did a long weekend here and the property worked out great for two families. The kids loved the bunkbed room and the play room area. The main areas has plenty of space for cooking and socializing. The hot tub was great after a long day of skiing.

Why they chose this property

Newer and higher-end home near lifts. Can walk down to the village and on a good snow day, ski down to homerun lift. Northstar is a destination resort for all seasons with snow sports in the winter and great hiking and Mt. biking the rest of the year.

What makes this property unique

This is a family home and has great play areas for the kids, as well as toys and games for the entire family.

We have sleds, snow-shoes, toys, books, games etc for the kids since we have 4 kids, now ages 12-19, who spent a lot of time there since they were 5.
