About this property

Wonderful downtown accommodations for your family. Large apartment with a full kitchen,living room, full bath and 2 very large bedrooms each with a queen and twin bed. The space is ideal for up to 4 adults and 2 children. The apartment is one of three located on the second floor of our huge artisan and antique market place. Your reservation is for the 2 bedroom apartment shown.
There is street parking in the front or on the side but it is limited to 2 hours from 9-5. For long term parking we suggest going back one street and park beside Bedford Candies on Thomas Street.
Enjoy our downtown restaurants, theater, specialty shops, brewery's or many other stores in this quaint downtown. Book ahead to get a room for one of our yearly downtown events including the Fall festival, Wine tasting walk, Chocolate walk, Chili Cook off and downtown concerts. Memorable Trip

From the cleanliness to cuteness of the apartment to the walkability to quaint stores and Mom and pop restaurants that delivered on delicious meals we had a memorable stay. Definitely recommend.

Easy Girls Trip

BEAUTIFUL, UPDATED APARTMENT RIGHT IN TOWN

We really enjoyed our stay as two friends celebrating a special birthday. The only challenge was having to go through one bedroom to get to the bathroom at night. Other than that, we highly recommend this place for spending time in, around and near Bedford.

Perfect apartment in Bedford

My husband and I stayed in Bedford for the weekend for Jeep Infestation 2024. This quaint, comfortable, beautifully decorated apartment is in the perfect location in town. It’s within walking distance to just about everything. Everything you might need is in the property. The host is very responsive and kind, highly recommend if visiting Bedford for any reason.

Perfect spot to stay in walking distance from eateries wineries also coffee shops, beautiful walk down to the river along with a beautiful studio apartment. Very clean everything up-to-date brand new we really enjoyed our stay perfect for a girls trip or any kind of weekend getaway.

Great location

Stayed for a weekend with my mom and sister. The location was absolutely perfect. So many things within walking distance. In addition to the location, the property was immaculate. Everything is updated and clean. The exposed brick and high ceilings add so much character. Woukd definitely love to stay here again.

A weekend getaway to Bedford

We love Bedford and getting away from the city for the weekend. While we have historically stayed at Bedford Springs, we thought it might be fun to stay right in town. We loved our VRBO! It was brand new, super clean, and located within walking to everything. The host was very attentive and responsive when called upon. We highly recommend this VRBO. We will definitely stay here again.

Get away weekend

The property and location were terrific! Loved the downtown area and modern comforts of the apartment. The only minor complaint would be the loudest of the air purifier in the second bedroom. Everything else was top notch!

Can’t imagine there’s a better option in Bedford

Great, newly renovated property in the middle of a vibrant and growing downtown. Super clean and tastefully decorated. Exposed brick from original building is a fabulous touch. Easy in and out. Great layout and space. Only downside - for multiple couples this would be a tricky option due to the setup of the bathroom between the living area and bedrooms. But a great for a family! Don’t hesitate to grab this apartment!

A Great space in a great location

This space is clean, nicely decorated, and a great place to chill after walking and shopping downtown. The large, well-equipped kitchen, comfy LR furnishings and ample bedrooms make it an easy “Yes.” Access to both bedrooms is only through the bathroom, which may mean you “dance” a bit waiting for someone to finish showering to move from bedroom to living area, but to us, that’s not a dealbreaker- just quirky. There are street sounds that are well masked by air filter fans running in each room. Great Shopping, historic tours and info, food, shopkeepers all made our 3 night visit a fabulous trip!

Perfect Downtown Location

We loved our stay at this fully renovated building in downtown Bedford. The rooms were clean and beautiful. A couple tips for future guests though that may help. The two bedroom unit had only one bath, and you had to go through the bath to get to the first bedroom then the 2nd. Not a problem for a couple, but a bit difficult to manage for more adults. Also, there was no soap provided in the shower so we had to go down the street to get bath soap. Fortunately there was a Dollar General closeby. We will definitely return!

We are Erich and Sharon McArthur. I am an Altoona, PA native and opened Founders Crossing in 1992. In 2016 I married Erich and together we had the vision of renovating the second floor of the store to house apartments. Erich has spent the last year doing a full renovation to create these beautiful rental properties that we hope you will enjoy as much as we do.

Staying in our historic 1895 downtown landmark in the heart of the historic district is a unique experience. There is a total of three apartments on the premises. All units are on our second floor over our retail store, Founders Crossing. If you enjoy quaint downtown's, Bedford is definitely one you don't want to miss. Our location is extremely safe and well maintained.

What makes this property unique

This apartment has a full kitchen and lots of space to spread out. It is perfect for family time or a girls weekend away. Bedford is home to many great shops, restaurants and downtown events. We are only a mile away from the historic Bedford Springs where you can book a spa treatment or just go enjoy one of several walking trails around the property. We are also close to Shawnee State park with hiking and biking trails, small boat rentals or fishing. If you aren't the outdoorsy type, there is no better place to stay to simply enjoy great shopping, local theater and home town restaurants.
