A lovely condo, perfect for family. Perfect, walking location to Government Camp restaurants, grocery, coffee and ski rentals. The condo was very clean and well appointed and cozy. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!!
We completely enjoyed our stay! Walkable to good coffee and restaurants. Easy and close access to the mountain. Great view! Clean and comfortable. The fireplace made for cozy evenings! The little extras throughout the condo were a nice touch. The covered parking was a really nice amenity. You won’t regret staying here.
We stayed at this property for the long holiday weekend and it was amazing! Awesome views of Skibowl, nice warm heaters in every room, beautiful stocked kitchen, plenty of room for people to sleep in bedrooms and even comfy Murphy bed in living room. This place did not disappoint and it was so nice having a warm place to park your car too with elevator access to your room! The host was very responsive and would fully recommend this place for a getaway on the mountain!
Clean, spacious condo. Well appointed. Great location and parking garage is a nice bonus. Walking distance to Ski Bowl, downtown restaurants and shops. Short drive to Timberline & Meadows. Great overall experience.
Kitchen items were good and had what we needed. On suite bedroom was nice and comfortable. Parking garage is very nice too. Very nice hiking trails close by as well as restaurants within walking distance.
We had no communication with the property manager. Rated 3 because I had to put something.
Wonderful property at Golden Poles at the base of Ski Bowl in Government Camp. Spacious unit. Modern and clean. Excellent location. Would definitely stay again.
Great stay. Well furnished and stocked place. Big and bright. Kitchen had everything we needed. Extra blankets and comfortable beds. Communication with Carrie was awesome. Will definitely stay again.
We loved staying at Golden Poles. Super cute 2 bed / 2 bath with fire place, large kitchen, and deck. Kids liked the bunk beds. I like the underground parking. Lots of games to play and kitchenware. Washer and dryer helped with sweaty ski clothes. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you!!!
We loved staying at Carrie's condo. The indoor parking was extra nice when it snowed and we didn't have to shovel at all. The kitchen is well stocked. The kids room is small, but efficient for sleeping. We loved playing the games provided and the generous living space. The only bummer was that the pool was unexpectedly closed, but we hear it should be opening back up and we came to a resolution with Carrie.
Our family of four were super comfortable in this condo for our six night ski vacation. We loved the comfortable accommodations after long days of skiing. The condo was perfectly located close to several ski resorts, allowing us to visit Ski Bowl, Mt. Hood Meadows, and Timberline. We even ventured to Bend (2 hours away) for an awesome day of skiing at Mt. Bachelor. We enjoyed the ability to rent equipment at Mt. Hood Outfitters and walk to dinner, all centrally located in Government Camp. Carrie was super responsive and gave us great advice for skiing. As a family who typically visits Colorado for Spring Break skiing, this was a wonderful alternative. We look forward to coming back in the summer for biking and hiking.
We had the best time during our stay! We were able to walk about ten minutes through Skibowl East to Skibowl West for some night riding on the first evening after we checked in. We then dropped our boards at the condo and had an easy five minute walk into the town of Govvy Camp for dinner. Beds were comfy and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Lots of board games and Roku tv for entertainment. There was a well stocked and cleaned kitchen for use. We messaged the host because we had been confused about the wifi login and the response was within minutes. We were able to walk about twenty minutes to Summit Pass through Govvy Camp to catch the Timberline shuttle up the mountain. We managed to ski down Glades at the end of the day which popped us out right in Government Camp by the general store and allowed for an easy five minute walk back to the condo. We ended the day with a soak in the heated pool while it snowed lightly. Overall, if you’re looking for somewhere very centrally located for all things Mt Hood has to offer, this is the place!
We really enjoyed staying here. The unit was well stocked with every essential like shampoo and skin cream. The kitchen has plenty of cookware, etc. Carrie was a great host, easy to reach and very accommodating. We’d definitely stay again.
Location was perfect, walking distance to everything. Pool was heated to 92 degrees, which was really fun to swim in while it was snowing. Family had a wonderful trip and will definitely book again.
Host was friendly and super helpful with excellent communication before, during and after our stay. The home is very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable family weekend up at Mt Hood. Convenient location to get to Timberline and other ski areas. Better construction and finishes than some of the other similar options in the area. Really like the underground parking with an elevator, makes it easy to come and go and move luggage around, no matter the weather!
My family of 5 adults and 3 children all loved our stay. The warm pool was a huge hit with everyone and the lovely condo was very close for the tubing we planned to do.
The host was very responsive whenever I reached out, too!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Poles Chalet! It’s a brand new unit and very clean with modern finishes. I liked this development a lot more than Collins Lake with the great views and heated swimming pool. With a really convenient location, we could easily walk to Ski Bowl, nearby trails and Government Camp for dining, shops and supplies. The kitchen is well stocked and I also appreciated the laundry. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are nice. Host was wonderful, welcoming and accommodating when I needed some recommendations. Already looking forward to staying again in December!
I have been coming to government camp for many years. I think this property is the best location on the mountain well maintained and stocked. I love the patio and the views. Easy access to all the amenities on the mountain. Mother nature did her part. Sunset and sunrise rises where spectacular.
We booked an end of summer weekend here for our family of four. The location is perfect - walking distance to Government Camp restaurants and the Adventure Park! Our daughters enjoyed the swimming pool as well as the various books and games at the condo. Everything was very clean and everything you would need was available in the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location, close walk to everything. Very nice furnishings. The condo is very well equipped. Parking very easy. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
The place is actually more spacious than the photos. Kitchen has everything you need I cooked there a lot. Beds are comfortable. Everything was very clean. Host was responsive. Parking was easy. Location was great - 3 min walk to govy and right by ski bowl. We were not there during the winter so can’t speak for that but for the early summer it’s a very convenient location. View is really nice too as well as the porch. It has laundry in the unit which is really convenient. There is no storage for bikes or skis so those go on the porch FYI. We just kept our bikes locked on the car bike rack. Only issue we had is the building has noise. The guests upstairs, people walking past the room outside on the walkway (it’s only condo guests there) and even loud talking across the street can be heard. It all stops at night and is very quiet but evening and morning can be busy.
we had the most fantastic stay at this condo! the location really is the best on the mountain - we loved walking to coffee in the morning and enjoyed the mountain views out back. beautiful! i cooked all our meals there, and the kitchen was super well stocked. the beds were comfortable and fresh. and the whole place was spotlessly clean. what a find! i am booking now for ski season :)

About the host
Hosted by Carrie Spurlock
Welcome! We are a mountain-obsessed Portland family who loves sharing our Govy getaway with guests. We're avid skiers, mountain bikers, hikers and love to fish and get out into the wilderness. When we're not enjoying our cabin, we're probably out exploring nature in our RV.
Why they chose this property
We love our condo. The location can't be beat - walk across the bridge to Govy bars and restaurants, walk to Ski Bowl for skiing/snowboarding in the winter or the alpine slide in the summer. We love the view of the wilderness area behind the building and watching the skiers come down the mountain.
What makes this property unique
The Golden Poles is one of the newest buildings in Government Camp. Enjoy our very well stocked unit with plenty of towels and extra bedding, pantry staples and a Keurig. We're also serious about comfortable beds (squishy rental beds are the worst!), and think you'll love our new primary mattress and the top-quality murphy bed in the living room.
