Enjoy this beautiful maintained Villa located just 10 minutes south of Punta de Mita and 35 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta airport. The casa sits in the boutique guarded gated community of “La Playa Estates”, on one of the most pristine white sand walking beaches and known for its surf break, in all of Punta Mita. Sitting high on the bluff, the casa offers spectacular sweeping ocean and mountain views. Just steps away from the casa is the private community beach club, which features a large infinite pool overlooking the beach, with large dining tables comfortable beach and pool chair, restrooms and shower facilities. The white sands beach is perfect for the entire family; a long walking beach, a sand bottom ocean with a wave break for boogie boards and just a short walk away one of the known surf breaks.

Sitting on a double lot, the home is a stunning mixture of modern architecture with a casual elegant traditional Mexican décor on the interior. The casa features a large deck on the main floor, its own private pool and landscaped backyard, as well as roof deck featuring another lounging area with a Jacuzzi sunset view / ocean view. The main casa offers 4 bedrooms, large gourmet kitchen and dining area, living room, and family (tv/cable) play area. La Playa Estates amenities, which includes beach club, tennis court & pickleball court, and gym. The backyard has private pool, covered outside dining/lounging palapa area, sand court for cornhole, ping pong etc. There is a detached casita that is private and contains a small kitchen. The master bedroom features sweeping views, palapa covered private terrace and both an indoor and outdoor shower. The main floor features living room, kitchen and dining room, main ocean viewing palapa covered terrace and a main bedroom. Lower level has two bedrooms (queen and two twins), with family play room and private bath, and access to exterior pool and outside shower. The top level features, large unobstructed ocean views, sitting area and Jacuzzi. Fully furnished equipped kitchen and dining room, with luxurious furniture, marble floors and decorator touches, washer/dryer, beach towels and toys, DSL and Vonage to stay connected.

Casa Corona del Mar is a true crown of the Sea. The hidden jewel is located on Playa Destiladeras which is considered to the be one of the top beaches in the PV and surrounding areas, yet you are less than 10 minutes from the towns of Punta Mita and La Cruz, 20 minutes to Salialitto and only 40 minutes from the airport.

Concierge service provided includes pre-arrival shopping. Additional services are available, including a private chef and recreational arrangements (surfing adventure, zip lining etc.).

Wonderful Vacation
We had our annual family vacation at Dana and Craig's property and it was our best yet! The ages ranged from 18 months old to 80 years old and everyone had the best time! The home is welcoming and have everything you need for a great trip. Its a short walk (or golf cart ride) to the beautiful beach. Dana suggested wonderful dinners out and Chelo made delicious breakfasts and lunches that the whole family enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Vacation
We (group of 7, ages 5-74) stayed for seven nights and didn’t want to leave! The home was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The homeowners were in touch throughout and easy to communicate with. The house keepers were incredible! If we weren’t at the beach or the beach club pool, we were lounging in the big yard, sitting at the home’s private pool or on the comfortable second floor balcony with an ocean view. Can’t wait to go back someday!

Best VRBO rental ever
My family (kids 10 and 12), my mother (80 years old) and my sister's family (kids 17, 20, and 24) stayed at this house for a week. It was the best house we have ever stayed at-and we have had a lot of lake and beach rentals over the years. This was perfect for families and would also work well for friends/groups of friends. The pictures don't do the house justice. Chello and Nora are lovely-they come daily to cook and clean. They prepare both breakfast and lunch and clean everything. We didn't do dishes or sweep or make a bed for the week. Having them prepare meals twice a day was amazing. The food was fantastic! Nora was particularly lovely and noticed my son's teddy bear had a hole and the stuffing was coming out. She sewed it up one day and didn't even tell us. They do not speak English well but we used the google translate to communicate. The owner/host Dana was more communicative than any other host we have experienced. She called me prior to the trip to run through possible sleeping arrangements and what to expect. She called a few times during the trip to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The walk to the beach club pool/beach was maybe 5 minutes. They also have a couple golf carts which was nice for when my mom did not want to walk. It really is the perfect house-we will come back in the future.

Ideal property for a group or family getaway!
The week went by too fast on this stunning property! The owners went above and beyond communicating with us prior to and during our visit, and we were welcomed by the house staff upon our arrival. The property itself is ideal; a double lot fully stocked with amenities: ping pong table, yard games, a fire pit, private pool, and plenty of areas to both gather together and relax with a book. We caught a World Cup game on the TV outside at the outdoor dining area while the kids swam in the pool, and enjoyed yoga (and later drinks) on the rooftop patio overlooking the ocean. The views of both the water and the surrounding hills are stunning, and all of the rooms were very comfortable-nobody felt like there was a substandard room in the entire home! The staff kept things immaculate and cooked for us during our stay, purchased groceries prior to our arrival and ordered cars for us when we wanted to leave the property. The beach club was beautiful; pool over the water and high-quality furniture both poolside and under the large palapa. The beach is swimmable and we could walk to restaurants on nearby properties when we did not want to get in the car. This was the perfect week for our family on a property that met all of our wants and needs!

Amazing vacation
We had an incredible trip. Dana and Craig went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. They were both so responsive to all our questions and gave us so much helpful information and recommendations. Their house is beautiful with so many lounging and sitting areas, backyard plunge pool, fire pit, rooftop pool and sunset views. We took the golf carts down the short hill to the beach club every day and relaxed at the pool and/or pristine sandy beach. Chelo was wonderful - she prepared breakfast and lunch, made reservations, arranged taxis, Covid tests, and even helped take care of our baby while we packed. I can’t say enough about how great of an experience we had. We will definitely return again.

Truly wonderful
The pictures don’t even do this house justice — it is gorgeous and huge, open and airy and beautifully decorated. There are numerous lovely porches and places to sit, as well as an outside “living room,” a beautiful backyard, with games and a firepit, and a pool. We were a family of 4, with a 12 year old and 14 year old and the hosts were great about making their home ours for the week. One of the best things is the beach, which is part of La Playa Estates. There is a beach club, with a lovely heated pool right off a perfect white sand beach. We were literally the only ones there the whole week (terrific during Covid) and the kids just alternated between the ocean (where the water was clear and warm) and the pool for hours. Hosts were very helpful with suggestions and communication was easy. Fabulous house, fabulous beach, easy hosts — HIGHLY recommend.

Perfect get away!
We have stayed at this home several times and always have the best experience. The owners have continued to add space and amenities that make it better every time we come. It will always have a special place in our heart as we have created so many family memories there!

Best beach vacation ever - seriously!
We’ve been taking beach vacations for more than 40 years. We’ve never had a more comfortable, inviting, well-equipped, and perfectly located home in all those years. Our grandkids, ages seven, five, and almost two, had the time of their lives, as did all the adults. Wish we could’ve stayed a month rather than just a week.!

Truly Exceptional Property
The beauty and warmth of this home surpassed our expectations by a large margin. We were able to swim, surf, and watch whales just outside the front door. The accommodations were amazing: the infinity pool, Jacuzzi, chef’s kitchen, and fantastic views from all the rooms. We felt like we were in our home away from home. Relaxing and peaceful with an island atmosphere would best describe our stay. My only complaint is that you have now spoiled us by setting the bar so high! Without a doubt we look forward to staying in your wonderful home on our next trip to Mexico! Many thanks! N+D

Playa Estates
The house, location, and the entire development is incredible. The beach is the best beach in the area. My wife and I stayed with our 5 year old daughter and another couple with their 3 daughters. We had such a great time hanging out down at the beach club (pool right on the sand) as well as exploring the area. The house is huge with a roof deck that has panoramic views. Wow, the sunsets every evening were incredible! We walked down to the end of the beach everyday for great surf and played golf at Litibu which was 15 minutes away. We also visited La Cruz and El Anclote which are both 10 minutes from the house so plenty to do if you want to explore or it is perfect for just relaxing (never have to leave the development). The property is very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this house to anyone and am planning on going back many more times in the future.

INCREDIBLE PUNTA DE MITA PRIVATE HOME!!
My family rented this house last year and had such an incredible time. We traveled there with our 2 young children (4 and 7) and always felt safe and with privacy. The beach and beach facilities were awesome; great surf for the kids (playing/boogie boarding) and myself (surfer, short walk to the point to the west) and for my wife who could just hang under the palapa and read her book next to the pool. The house is not only furnished beautifully and usable, but has comfortable beds, AC, a great kitchen with all appliances and great rooms for the kids. We had the daily maids/help who added such service that was incredible. We definitely suggest this. I have though about using the house for my business retreat. We spent the late evening in the roof top jacuzzi to watch the sunset and enjoy the view. We are planning to come back next year as it is such an exclusive and private place for our family to go, relax and have fun.

Perfect spot to truly relax
We stayed here last fall and the home is a perfect mix of sun/sand, tourism, and relaxation. Close enough to Puerto Vallarta(30 minutes) to enjoy all the city has to offer but far enough away to get away from the tourist scene. Next to Punta Mita so we could golf every day. Small community, very little traffic. Quiet at night. The best part is the beach - almost a totally private beach with very little tourist traffic and good surfing. If you want lots of noise this place is not for you. Very nice staff, kept the place spotless. Close to La Cruz for some very good local dining without heading into PV.

We are a family of five, with three young boys, and live in Southern California. We love our home in Mexico, and choose to spend at least a weekend a month and most holidays. We all surf and enjoy the beach.

Why they chose this property

We have been traveling to PV for the past several years, and have enjoyed staying in many different homes, luxury villas and high-end hotels of Vallarta; downtown, Concha’s Chinas, Mismaloya, Nuevo, Sayulita, and Punta Mita. However, none of them compared to the beach of Playa Destiladeras. Our home located in a secluded guard gated community sits on sandy stretch of beach that is considered a hidden jewel by the locals. People who live in Vallarta and the surrounding beach towns chose to drive to beach because it has so much to offer. Playa Destiladeras is a perfect beach for family vacations or a group of friends that want to get away from it all. It is nice because even though you have the feeling of isolation, you are 10 minutes from either Punta Mita or La Crux de Huanacaxtle, where you can enjoy fine dining, and enjoy the Mexican shops. Other beaches are rocky and not swimable or dirty, crowded or too small to have any room to walk about. Our 4 bedroom home perched high above the Playa Destiladeras offers sweeping view from the palapa covered terraces and rooftop deck with Jacuzzi sunsets and lounging with friends in the covered sitting area. Our housekeeper would gladly make you a variety of dishes for breakfasts and/or lunches or pack you a picnic to take the beach and beach club which is only steps away. Beach club has kitchen, so as you lounge at the infinity pool you can keep all your drinks cool. The sandy beach is great for walking barefoot as well as it provides great waves for boogie boarding and has both a beach and reef surf breaks at the northern point. At the southern point vendors sell everything from platters of fruit to grilled fish and meat, along with the traditional vendor supply of jewelry, hats and crafts. We love the location so much and felt so safe we moved our three kids there in 2008 and lived there for two years, sending our kids to a local school.

What makes this property unique

We have a truly breathtaking sandy beach that you can enjoy either in the beach club, on the sand or privacy of your own home. (See above why we chose this location). Let the crashing sound of the waves lull you to sleep or go for an early morning run or late night stroll, spend all day at the beach or go up to the house for a nap on one of the many patios or the privacy of your own bedroom. Arrange for a private chef to make authentic meal or anything you would like. Alternatively, take a 10 minute car ride to either Punta Mita or La Cruz and have tacos in the street or elegant meal at several of the high end venues. La Cruz harbor offers fishing boats large and small or take tour of Banderas Bay while you go whale watching. Surfing ease is one of the greatest assets that the house offers, with both a sandy beach break and reef break, both within walking distance. The private gated community with 24 hour security offers both a beach club, tennis courts and gym. There is spa next door but you can have any and all services ordered in at the home.
