This property has it all on 4 acres, view of Lake Erie, peaceful stream and waterfall, vineyard, and quiet pond. Spacious kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 baths and 4 bedrooms. The location is the perfect weekend getaway for wine tours, fishing, or a longer vacation with many nearby attractions, beaches and wineries.

Our host, Joshua, was quick to respond to our questions. The property itself has unbelievable views out of every window- even saw a white spotted young fawn! Truly is a beautiful old house. You can see the care and consideration Josh and his wife put into renovating the home. The ladies all found their bedrooms to be very comfortable. We truly enjoyed ourselves and had plenty of room to relax in the spacious kitchen, dining room and the family room.
The house was perfect for us. Enough bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, nice kitchen and dining area. Dining area great for playing games. Close to some awesome wineries, close to friends in the area, short drive to Erie. Lake views, gorgeous sunset one nlght, typical snow storm one night. We had a wonderful time sightseeing, even in the middle of winter! My only suggesting is to get the names and numbers of the 2 owners before you get there. VRBO is frustrating to work with.
Reminiscent of an old farmhouse. We enjoyed our stay. Would stay again.

Lake Erie Vineyard
We had to call to get access and Wi-Fi information. There were a lot of things not available at the house including a cutting board and hairdryer. You can tell that the owner really never stays at the house. We experienced a major winter storm while we were there. There wasn’t even a shovel for us to use on the property.

Not as advertised
The house was not cleaned well, water marks on vanities, mirrors, etc. Dust bunnies under tables/chairs. The water was brown for 5 out of the 7 days we were there.
Short family getaway to watch our daughter play tennis at a nearby college. Would vome again forca winery tour. We were able to visit 4, but there are so many more in the area. If you like sweet wine and wine tastings, this a a great place to be. Property is gorgeous! Lots of big spiders, but only on the outside. Host wad super accomodating.

Wewanted a nice weekend get away and the privacy of this property delivered just that. Pair that with the great attractions and food in erie pa and it made a perfect vacation .
It was a lovely setting for groomsmen pictures and breakfast for the guys for the morning of the wedding. I, personally, enjoyed the sunsets each night (Thursday & Friday). The only drawback was the stairs with 2 - 89 year old parents who needed something to hang onto when going up and down the steps. The curve was a bit challenging. Other than that, it was a very comfortable house with lots of room.
A charming place to stay. We were at a drift event at Lake Erie Speedway (15min drive) so it was very convenient & quiet after a noisy day at the track. My granddaughter enjoyed seeing all the wildlife including a bald eagle.
Very comfortable spot. Perfect for a nice relaxing stay! The house was very clean, and we had everything we needed, We especially loved the coffee bar provided. We plan to come again!
Planned on visiting my hometown of Erie and found that the nearby town Westfield was very nice, my main concern was that flies and ladybugs were somehow all over the top floor, I tried shutting windows and everything but they still ended up all over the place
We really enjoyed our stay @ the Lakehouse. Very comfortable stay for 4 couples. We visited during the winter for one of the Lake Erie Wine Events the location was perfect! Everything in the house was wonderful, comfy beds, nice stocked coffee bar. Nice big table for eating & game playing. Bathrooms were nice/clean and had toiletry amenities! Will definitely visit again’
We (5 older adults) enjoyed our stay in Ripley, very much. We loved the property and how close it was to all that we wanted to do. Every winery that we visited on this trip (12 of them) we friendly, clean, and had a nice selection of goodies to sample and/or purchase. We’re coming back!!!
This is an old farmhouse that is a renovation in progress. The gem is the land and where it sits on the lake. The views of the lake, vineyards right onsite are beautiful. Sit at the fire pit under the stars and listen to the sounds of the lake. The house itself is an old farmhouse and as such the “character” of a 100 year old house and it’s quirks maybe off putting to someone looking for a modern perfect rental. If you are comfortable with an old house like we are, you’ll be perfectly at home. We had an issue checking in a host was quick to solve our the problem.
We had a great time staying here.

The house was very quiet and relaxing. It was also very convenient to the wedding venue that we had traveled to! The homeowner was always quick to respond. We loved the coffee bar! Though I would recommend a house number near the road and on the house, for we found the house difficult to spot at night.
We weren’t able to go camping this year, but wanted to still have the ability of some of our favorite parts (swimming, fire, hiking, stargazing). This property did that for us. The property is private and quiet (only sound was waves crashing and the occasion car passing). The views of the lake were spectacular. Beautiful sunset, butterflies and lightening bugs flying around, an eagle passing by the trees. There are so many options of things to do within a half hours drive. I would just double check restaurant openings if you are there at the beginning or the week. We found many that didn’t open until Thursday. We decided to go only a couple of days before and I had a question which was timely answered. We would definitely look into this or their other property for a future stay.
The house was very nice. Had a lovely view of the lake, and was close to anything you could need/want to do. The host was very responsive and accommodating. 10 out of 10!
Last day of school for the kids and off we went for a fun get-away. Had a fire by the lake and took many pics of the beautiful moon over the home and sun sets on the lake.. Frogs in the pond was quite entertaining and saw Eagles soaring overhead most everyday! Fun-Fun-Fun
Thank you :)
The house is every bit as beautiful as the pictures, very comfortable in every way and has a nice welcoming vibe. Communication with the host was excellent. We would definitely come again!
I was impressed by the property manager's communication. I had an early question and the question was immediately addressed to our satisfaction.

About the host

This is the second property my wife, son and I purchased. We purchased this property in 2021 and completely gutted and remodelled the entire house. We love to provide incredible properties and try to exceed guest expectations. The properties are very private so we give our guests privacy, but can be reached if a need arises. We enjoy helping our guests celebrate their special occasions or special times with family and friends.
Why they chose this property
This property has a quiet stream to the east, small vineyard to the west and Lake Erie to the North. How amazing is that? 4 acres with no neighbors! It is an old farmhouse originally built in 1905, but completely remodeled in 2022. Bald eagles love to soar by this property regularly.
What makes this property unique
Property is close to many local attractions, wineries, best steelhead fishing in the World, beaches, Waldameer, waterparks, Presque Isle, finley lake, Chataqua Institute, Amish trails, farmers markets, restaurants, antiques, small town shopping, horse back riding, and more.
