Beautiful Property

This is a lovely home set on a beautiful property. It is set in the mountains, so that driveway is pretty steep coming in and going out! But it's worth it! The creek running in the backyard is tranquil and picturesque. There's lots of room for sleeping a large group like ours and the kids loved the game room. I highly recommend this property.

Pleasant Valley

If you enjoy the constant sound of rushing water water, this would be your place. Not a creek for fishing. Easy drive to a number of interesting places.

Quick Family Getaway

First time Vacasa user, so was a little skeptical but was pleasantly surprised and impressed. It was the perfect house for our weekend. Beautiful location, landscape, and overall house. Had everything we need from relaxing from trip there with the movie room to family night after being out all day. Extremely convenient for shopping, food, and experiencing nature. Definitely worth a return trip.

Amazing!

Place was perfect for kids. The fishing was not good in the creek, but location was close enough to other creeks. Was still nice sitting out by the creek. Kid entertainment was perfect.

Overall was fine.

We loved the ease of access to the creek and the local hiking trails and state parks. The game room and theater room were awesome for the kids.

Amazing

The house was clean, cozy, provided beautiful river views, close proximity to several towns, adventures, activities and yummy places to eat. We enjoyed the property, exploring the river in the backyard, playing bird games, ping pong pool, watching movies in the living room and the media room. Perfect relaxing getaway but close enough to adventures to keep our boys entertained. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Weekend Family Trip

The house was nice, clean and met all of our needs and a beautiful setting. The internet was spotty and often did not work, but we knew this was an ongoing issue from the previous reviews and was not a major issue for us. The hot water tank appears to be insufficient for the size of the house as we often ran out of hot water. The stove also does not appear to heat properly, as it never cooked efficiently. With all of these things said we still had a wonderful trip with family and I would definitely stay here again should the opportunity arise.

False advertisement on some of the features

You cannot watch TV in the theater. Water pressure was low at times if somebody was taking a shower or flushing a toilet. Fireplace is out of order. Internet wasn’t that great either.

Best creek property.

The house and property were awesome. The driveway is a little steep but was not an issue at all. We had no problem getting a 15-passenger van up and down the driveway. The creek was easy to get to which was really great. Only one staircase or nice sloping trail to get to the creek. The grandkids spent 3 days in the creek and exploring along the banks. A built-in waterpark. They loved it. They also loved the movie room and spent a few evenings, when it rained, watching a movie. We all played pool, ping pong and Pac Man in the evenings, so of course we enjoyed the game area. The screened in porch was awesome. We played cards on the porch. My husband and I had coffee on the porch and listened to the running creek before the grandkids got up. The lounge chairs on the porch are great. Actually, got a short nap laying in the chair and listening to the creek. The property is close to State Parks which was great. It is centrally located to several places that were great to go to. We went to Helen GA as it was a fun town to visit. Has a waterpark and tubing down the river and great shops and restaurants. This is one of the BEST rentals we have gone to. Would recommend it.

Riverside House

Beware. This property shows well in the listing however it lacked many of the amenities shown and expected. We were there for Thanksgiving 2023 so it was relatively cold weather. The fireplace does not work because the gas is capped. We had a leaky kitchen sink. Hot water is not adequate for the size of the house. Most irritating was the lack of Wi-Fi. This affected the TV and Theater room, which we hoped to use. The only way we received a TV stream was through a jet pack device we brought and ran through one of our phones. This rental was my most disappointing experience ever with VRBO.

Nice place but…

House is very nice and large. The creek in back yard is amazing and made the screened in back porch awesome. The bad is Vacasa and their customer service is garbage. I had no internet from the beginning and made multiple calls but never got any help. They say they have jacuzzi tub but good luck getting enough hot water to fill the tub. After a few minutes hot water was gone and tub not close to being above the jets. Top of refrigerator was disgusting and had trash on it. Place said it had a grill but there was a griddle top instead of grill and it was disgusting. Made all these issues aware to Vacasa and they did nothing. I will never rent a house managed by Vacasa again!!!!

Internet issues messed with our overall stay

Unfortunately internet issues with the house meant no one had wifi access and cell service was not the best. We also were unable to use any streaming service, so movie viewing (rented specifically for the theater room) was unable to take place. Costumer service was nice, but not helpful. Router issues seemed to be the culprit for the internet issues. Unfortunately the lack of connection and lack of adequate help from customer service, really negatively effected our overall stay. We also had to clean up ant traps and make sure our toddler hadn’t ingested any. They were placed all over the house in common easy to reach/see places.

Riverside Hideaway

Stayed on the property in early to mid october. Property is slightly hard to see since its behind cover and downhill but nice and secluded. Neighboring houses near and visible but you have a nice river in the back that is peaceful. You can hear the river inside the house but its not annoying to us. Internet is lacking but present. Could not watch a movie without buffering every few mins. Do not hope for high speeds. Proximity is not far from black rock mountain and the gorge and there are stores and restaurants nearby. Not very far from NC also as we toured the blue ridge areas nearby. Had an issue with a leak in the master bathroom but cannot fault the host. Also lost hot water on my last night possibly due to the leak. This is in a woodsy area and there are interesting bugs that make there way inside. Not a major problem but if you are scared of bugs be mindful :). House was very clean otherwise. Overall a very nice place.

Amazing with a few issues

We came up from FL for a week of R&R. The property was a little hard to find, not b/c of GPS but because the entrance isn’t very notable, especially in the evening/night. We drove past it twice before finally seeing the small numbers on the black mailbox & sign underneath. The drive down was steep & with our Tundra, parking wasn’t easy. The front door code was long, making it hard to enter but once we did, WOW! The house was amazing! It was clean & well decorated. The views were breathtaking. However, the master bath had black ants crawling on the counter & floor. We noticed them in other places too. When trying to use the Wi-Fi, we were given an error message that we were trying to use an AT&T data plan that had no data. We immediately let the management company know about the ants and the Wi-Fi not working. We got canned responses & the issues weren’t ever resolved. We had to use our HotSpot to watch any TV the whole time. The ants got worse & we had to buy our own ant traps for the ant problem. At one point, there were 100s of ants in the master bath. We couldn’t use the movie room as there was no DVD player or internet. However, we absolutely loved it here. Playing the games was so much fun & sitting on the screened porch was beyond relaxing. The house had everything you could need, including a coffee maker that used k-cups & nespresso pods. The beds were comfy, although we brought our own mattress topper. We would 100% stay there again & hope to go back very soon.
