Terrible customer service
The property is rented out by a big property management company that cannot seem to personalize or respond to anything but a simple reservation. That would work for a temperate locale, but not for a ski town with constantly changing conditions. I told them a week prior to our rental time that we would not be there for our reservation. There was no opportunity to get any money refunded because that have a 60 day cancellation policy. I asked to please transfer our reservation to a later date- I’d even pay the holiday rate for non-holiday time. We heard nothing back. I asked for them to simply refund the insurance waiver and cleaning cost since WE WOULD NOT be there. Nothing. Then, I got a text on what would have been day 2 of a very expensive non-trip asking how my stay was. Really? And on the ‘check-out’ day I received a phone call telling me that a key was missing from the room and I would be charged if I didn’t return it within 2 days. I get that they’re a business- but rubbing salt in the wound is terrible customer service. I will never book with that company again.

Update the TV
I mean - a dark deep hole. In need of a new TV and some basic upgrades - like lighting. It was outdated and just a disappointing experience.

- Check in at 4pm (no earlier) - Room was cozy and had a cabin feel - Good for a couple - Walkable to the nearest bus station and the village gondola - Hot tub was closed from christmas eve onwards - Power outages occur - Wifi didn't work so they delivered a hotspot for us to use - TV was from the 90s but had a lot of channels - Kitchen was full of appliances - Coffee provided - Heating vent was strong enough to dry our ski gear - There's a laundry room that everyone has access to - Nearest convenience store is in the ski village

Oooh Oooh that smell
Upon opening the door to the unit we were hit with an odor that could knock over a couple of nurses. Mildew, and mold have been trapped in the unit without any air movement for a very long time. The in wall heater looked to be a fire hazard as the floor adjacent was discolored brown from the heat. We went without heat despite temps in the 40.. The Carpet was dirty and the walls were beat up. The fridge was circ of 1960 and the freezer had no room as it needed to be defrosted. There was food residue on the cabinets. This would be a great place if Mammoth Property services put a little time and money into the unit. We are not fancy people and spent a lot of time in budget accommodations but the condition of this place was completely unacceptable for Money we spent on this accommodation.

A great location because its close to the village but thats it
Don't Rent this unit if you want to have a fire in the mountains. No Firewood, and after checking with the rental company in person, after many unanswered phone calls, voicemails that were not returned, no firewood would be provided. Had to buy my own wood and haul it in to the condo. very little in kitchen, 1970's TV, Did I mention NO FIREWOOD

Super low budget unit. Needs a deep cleaning, new bedding, and appliances.
Pros: located within walking distance of the village and the Mammoth Mountain gondola. Outdoor jacuzzi is clean and works well. Cons: dingy unit that desperately needs a deep cleaning. Bedding in poor condition as bed skirt was severely torn, there were white stains on the comforter, and the sheets were rigid. The mattress was uncomfortable as we both suffered back pains all week. The microwave and stove work, however with limited power so extra time is needed to warm/cook food. The tilework by the fireplace is cracked and unsafe for small children. The firewood was outside on the porch unprotected from the three snowstorms that recently passed through, so we could not even light a fire. No internet connection and the TV is from the 80s. The previous renter's old, empty shampoo bottle was sitting in the shower when we arrived. Gross. Was the shower even cleaned? Summary: you get what you pay for. Don't let the name "Grand Mammoth Resorts" fool you. When booking this condo, we thought that it was owned by a family who rents their place out when not in use. Alas, it's owned by a vacation rental management company that doesn't truly value the customer experience. Another example of this is when Grand Mammoth Resorts gave us the wrong key upon arrival, so we had to return to the office to retrieve the correct key. Do they own more units than they can manage and truly keep up with? The conditions were on par with a highway motel. Please think twice before booking this unit.

Perfect weekend mountain home - great for couples
Perfect little spot for a fun weekend trip with my boyfriend! Just enough space for us and our gear, and a huge plus to be able to eat at home before and after a long day of riding down the mountain. Close to the Village and Canyon Lodge. My only complaint is that the hot tub closes pretty early, but otherwise we had a wonderful stay.
