A truly unique retreat, this oceanfront home is full of color, charming wood finishes, and lush greenery. When you aren't down on the beach, check out the nearby Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Family Water Adventures, and a plethora of galleries, eateries, and parks.

Back at your stay, rinse off the sand in the outdoor shower before finding yourself lounging in the brilliantly bold living room adorned with soft seating and a large TV. Step out onto the private balcony when you want the ocean breeze to kiss your skin. In the adjacent well-equipped kitchen, cooking will come easy with the ocean views never having to leave your sight. When it's time to eat, dine together at the formal dining table or pack a picnic to go.

Each of the bedrooms is retro, comfortable, and spacious. But when you aren't lounging here under the cool air of the central air-conditioning, spread out in the loft where an additional TV and sprawling sofa provide the perfect spot for movie nights.

End your evenings with a walk down to the beach, where the air is breezy, the sound of the waves crashing is therapeutic, and the memories cultivated are lifelong.

Beautiful location
Steps from the beach. Comfortable setting with a deck with view of the beach. The upstairs is great for napping, family time and games. Could use a few updates but the kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of space to eat with a big group.

Location is unbeatable
This property is in a fantastic location that truly cannot be beat. Ultimately decided to give 4 stars because it is a bit outdated and with a few minor fixes could be excellent. Some fixes to note include the front screen door not latching and hitting the house and only having one trash can which did not have a lid. All in all the stay was great but could be exceptional.

Not as nice as pictured, or hoped
Starting with check in, we were emailed from vacasa saying to check in after 5pm, and in the same email, told that the office to pick up keys closed at 5pm. So, I called the contact number and was connected to someone with such a strong accent I could barely understand what she was saying. I thought I would be connected to someone local, but the call center person called the local office then called me back. I was able to go to the office and get the keys "after hours" as they were left in an envelope with my name and the house's name in the unmanned office. That was a little strange, but worked out. Upon arriving at the house, we noticed the front door was being held shut by a stool. Turns out the storm door is broken and will not latch, so if no stool is there, it bangs open and closed constantly. I went to cook dinner (brought my own electric grill) and realized that none of the outdoor outlets work on the property. Messaged vacasa and was told to check breakers. That wasn't it. Tried to log in to the internet, didn't work. Messaged vacasa about that and realized that the password they sent needed to be capitalized, even though it wasnt in the email. We walked the path to the beach to find that during high tide, there is no beach and the path drops off about 6 feet high directly into the waves. The next day, we were able to find a safe beach access 2 houses down where we could walk the beach at low tide. Dishwasher would not power on and microwave also stopped working.

Worst House in Hatteras
This house needs major updates for the daily rate your charging to be comparable. The furniture is broken and 1970 Style. There are huge roaches and the house smells of pet urine. We have been coming to Hatteras for 20 years and this by far is the worst house we’ve stayed in. The door does not latch, the screen door does not lock shut. Pans were sticky and gross- not a good stay, we couldn’t beat the smell and left after the first day! So bad.
