Location, Style and Value - The north end is arguably the best Location on the ranch for visitors! It's closest to the town of Gualala with it's shops, markets and eating/drinking establishments. Originally built for an empty nest couple, The Bluffs at Sea Ranch is perhaps the perfect place for a loving couple to reignite their passion. The professionally designed interior is fresh, light-filled and private featuring our signature look with antiques and contemporary furnishings in a modern playful mix. You will appreciate the high quality bedding, pillows and comforters, an updated kitchen with commercial stainless steel appliances, Master Chef cookware, Wusthof knives and all the goodies. Separate laundry, viewing deck, covered patio, private fenced yard, and inviting Jacuzzi spa with views of the Pacific round out the ample amenities.

The two-level master suite encompasses the majority of the second floor. Lounge with your favorite book on the 9-foot window seat and enjoy seasonal whitewater ocean views and glorious sunsets. Then step down to the spacious bath area for a sumptuous soak with the sounds of the crashing waves to help sooth away your worries. The massive California king size bed invites restful slumber with a super high-end Aireloom 'Super Feather Bed' mattress. The second bedroom is located on the ground floor and has access to its own private garden and patio. It's cozy and comfortable and great for extra guests. In addition, on the second floor, is a lofted niche with a full size bed that looks out upon the Sea Ranch Golf Links and acres of natural land on one side and the ocean on the other. The perfect place to escape from someone who snores!

With panoramic ocean views from nearly every window, and acres of wilderness to the east the property is adjacent to Gualala Point Regional Park and the town of Gualala the convenience and walk-ability are unsurpassed. The bluff trail along the ocean side of the property serves as your gateway to the great blue Pacific.

Designed and sited to take advantage passive heating and cooling from Mother Nature, you'll enjoy soothing benefits of radiant floor heating with no drying forced air to stuff up your sinuses.

Again, pets are not allowed - please don't ask. If unauthorized pets are brought onto the property, a minimum fee of $500 will be charged for extra cleaning.

About the Ranch -
All Sea Ranch roads, most facilities, and most trails are private, for use only by owners, renters, and their guests, but visitors who rent our vacation home in the Sea Ranch are considered to be guests of the home owner and, as such, are permitted to use the private facilities and trails of The Sea Ranch. This property is not set up for abalone diving.

Perfect weather for our 3 day stay. Great location and views. Easy access to Sea Ranch bluff trails. Nice and quiet. And the house was extremely clean. Didn’t use the hot tub, but the water was crystal clear. Next time we will stay longer.

The house was perfect for our needs. Very close to Gualala which is nice for picking up groceries. Nice unobstructed meadow view of the ocean. A little bit older house than I’ve rented before at Sea Ranch but clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Blissful stay at the Bluffs
Sea Ranch is magical. It’s so easy to leave city life behind as soon as you step into the life and routines of Sea Ranch. The Bluffs is perfectly located with gorgeous sea views and easy access to the trail which is over 10 miles of beauty. The house is fully equipped to cook and incredibly cozy. Loved all the seats and corners to sit and read. We loved our stay.

Stunningly beautiful
We had some rain while we were there but when the skies opened up it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Quiet, clean and kitchen well stocked. I also love the lap pool. One of our favorite vacation spots!

An absolutely gorgeous house where we enjoyed nature at it’s most powerful. The Bluffs, with fantastic ocean views, has all the amenities for a very comfortable getaway, including a backup electric system. We very much appreciated this during the Atmospheric River storm. A bird’s eye view to the ever changing Pacific and Mother Nature…breathtaking. John is an attentive and communicative host. We look forward to returning in the future. Many thanks.

This VRBO property is the best I have experienced on several levels. Location could not be better and the gardens are simply beautiful. The home is tastefully and practically appointed, creating a sense of calm. This is a well cared property that my fiancée and I look forward to visiting again.

This place is a Sea Ranch gem! Absolutely perfect unobstructed views of the ocean from nearly every room, including the upstairs office where I could work and watch wildlife. Immediate access to trails. Best location to town as well with easy access to Trink’s and their delicious baked goods. Raspberry cream cheese scones are incredible. The home had a spacious and completely private outdoor area with a large hot tub that we used often. The bathrooms and kitchens were very well stocked and we especially appreciated all of the different coffee making options. I really enjoyed the Mokka pot. We will definitely make returns to Sea Ranch and hope to stay here again.

Great location, close to trail, Gualala point and Gualala. The house was very clean, fabulous kitchen with everything I needed and more, bed very comfortable, decor was top notch, great taste! The only drawback was the sitting room, small but comfortable. The host was very responsive if I had a question, super fast. Wish there was a binder with informations about the house and area. We loved our stay, it is truly a special place.

Wonderful Second Visit to The Bluffs at Sea Ranch
We continue to enjoy our days at The Bluffs at Sea Ranch and look forward to another visit soon. This home is welcoming and well-organized and has stunning ocean views, soaring sea birds, and excellent access to the Buffs trail system. The kitchen is well stocked, and the house is spotless. Excellent location, the home is fully equipped with everything one could need. Kitchen is fully stocked with top quality cookware and every utensil needed to make a chef feel right at home. We were delighted with this home and its location. The views of the ocean are exceptional. The garden was in full bloom when we arrived. The entire property is carefully maintained, and the kitchen is well-stocked with various cooking supplies. The hot tub was beautiful, as well. Unique wonderful house in beautiful location!
This is my third stay at this property - and there are good reasons why I keep coming back! When you go out the sliding glass doors in the back there is nothing between you and the bluffs over the ocean, just a walk of a minute or two across a field and you're there. Up the coast maybe half a mile there's a beach. The house is very clean, with a large main bedroom that also has a long, very cozy cushioned window seat, so you can lay there and read while the sun sets over the ocean. The hot tub is large and well maintained. There is a propane grill in the patio. There are 3 TVs (up from 2 in previous visits) and you can get live broadcasts as well as numerous cable channels. I plug my Roku box into an HDMI input so I can get all my subscribed channels. So this place really has it all ... well, almost has it all. One thing it lacks is a nice dining area. There is just a small round table, more like a breakfast nook really. There used to be a nice cafe-height table in the kitchen area but that is no longer there. So if you want to have a nice dinner party this might be a disappointment, but the table does look out on the fields and ocean, so it's not all bad. Highly recommended!

A Week at The Bluffs
We spent a very enjoyable week here. This was our first time to visit Sea Ranch. Property was very clean on check-in. Plenty of linens were available. Beds were very comfortable. Ocean views from every room in the house were wonderful. Even in the mirror of the master bathroom! The kitchen was well equipped. No need to bring any dishes, pans, knives, etc., from home. Large capacity washer and dryer was nice to have. Property included a very comfortable, well landscaped, enclosed patio. Location is excellent. Stores in Gualala are minutes away. Access to major trails is only yards from the patio door. We were able to step outside to the Bluffs Trail and watch the sunset every evening. In summary, we had a very comfortable and relaxing week at The Bluffs.

Beautiful house with amazing views
We had a great time starting at this sea ranch house. It is very well appointed and we had everything that we needed for a relaxing family weekend. We loved taking walks on the trail that runs parallel to the coast and can be accessed right from the back yard. The hot tub was nice for relaxing in the evening. The ocean view from the panoramic window in the master bed is just what we were looking for. The host was also very responsive. We would love to come back to this house again.

Wonderful Sea Ranch Property!
Stayed here for 3 nights in March with my wife and we were very happy with this property. The location was ideal for accessing the bluff trails and Gualala Point. We have been coming to the Sea Ranch area for about 10 years and this is one of the overall top houses we have rented here. The house is very well maintained and the cleanliness is definitely the best we have enjoyed in Sea Ranch. The house looks to have been more recently updated inside than many of the Sea Ranch rentals. The kitchen has top end appliances and plenty of prep and work space. Everything functioned with no issues, including the outdoor grill and hot tub. The radiant floor heating was a nice feature. The bathrooms were large and very nicely done. The views from the property are wide and unimpeded, and we were even able to see whale spouts from the living room and master bedroom seating area. There is also an upstairs viewing area and telescope but we were close enough to the water to see without it. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and there is very little foot traffic around the trail near the home and also at the bluff. We also enjoyed the private courtyard and the little upstairs balcony, which both afforded a nice spot out of the wind, which can be typical this time of year at the coast. You get nice sunsets from this property as well. We highly recommend staying here for a couples retreat and we would definitely book this property again without hesitation.

With real world experience as the founder and principal of Carciofi and Jinglehyme, he successfully united residential real estate development and interior design; bringing revitalization to local neighborhoods and blighted historic properties through thoughtful renovation and redevelopment. John is the 2014 Winner of the Historic Preservation award for the city of Pasadena. He also owns and manages short term vacation rentals in Pasadena, San Diego, Santa Rosa, Culver City and the Sea Ranch.

John's prior tenure in the marketing and communications wing of the global institutional investing giant The Capital Group Companies, allowed him to develop broad knowledge of printed and digital media. With this knowledge, he has developed sophisticated marketing tools and programs for selling homes in all economic climates.

A long term resident of the Arroyo, John currently resides in Linda Vista and has had stake in properties located in Prospect Park, San Rafael, South Orange Grove, South Lake, Eagle Rock, The Sea Ranch and San Diego's East Village, Culver City and Santa Rosa. He is an active member Pasadena Heritage and The Legacy Circle, a group of Art Center alumni dedicated to raising funds for student scholarships.
