Great Gorge Getaway

We went to the gorge with 2 other couples and all our young kids. It was the perfect location with an awesome game room, hot tub and firepit. The views and sunsets were amazing. Overall, the Honey Bee Hideaway was perfect for our group and we’d definitely recommend it!

We had a great time

Was a great place for a mini "family reunion." My mom's family equaled 10 of us. The teens slept next to the air hockey table. Everyone else had private rooms. Trickiest part was finding the place (Google said "you have arrived" at a fork in the road... then we chose the wrong fork... go right, not left), but you kinda want that in a cabin. Found a couple of trash items from the previous guests about, but nothing crazy. Otherwise the property (and most importantly, beds, towels, and bathrooms) was very clean.

Exceptional!!! 5 Stars!!!

Absolutely beautiful cabin!!! My family came for a wedding that was in the area. We decided to extend our stay and make it a family vacation also. The owner was extremely pleasant and very easy to work with. We happened to come during a snow storm, which actually made it even more beautiful. The cabin was very clean and spacious with plenty of room for my large family. High recommend this cabin and will definitely be booking with this owner again if we are in the area.

Friendsgiving Success

Every year a group of us get a cabin and celebrate Friendsgiving in Red River Gorge. This was our fourth year doing it and *this* cabin was our favorite. The place was super clean, had all sorts of comforts and conveniences. Great hot tub, great view and location… also pet friendly. Can’t really beat that. I highly recommend this place for your next trip to the gorge/close to the natural bridge.

Fun with family and friends

We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin! Our group was made up of high school, friends and their respective families. We had many different age groups, and everyone was accommodated. The location was perfect to anything that you want to do in Red River Gorge and even though we had a small problem with the water, the property manager was quick to answer, and take care of the issue so that it was not a problem for our stay, I would highly recommend this property and hopefully plan on staying again!

Gorgeous Cabin in Red River

We ended up with a slightly smaller group than intended so the house was plenty big enough. The kids loved the upstairs entertaining area and the hot tub on first floor was perfect after a day of activity. The house is alittle difficult to find but with the directions and google maps you’ll manage. The owner was always very prompt in responding and gave advice on places to see. The house was incredibly clean and well furnished. Definitely would like to come back.

Hiking was good

House was nice. First day there microwave was not working. Second day about noon we realized hot tub was turning a yellow color so from that time on no hot tub. Kids very disappointed.

Derby Weekend Trip

The property was beautiful, quiet, and close to 11, 15, and 715 making it easy to get to trails. We had 6 adults and all of us slept comfortably. We had plenty of room to hang out on the deck’s and watched the Derby race in the upstairs den on the giant TV! Kitchen had everything we needed. The road leading to the cabin is filled with large potholes. Drive slow! We had a truck and an SUV. We enjoyed our weekend and would stay here again.

Nice and quiet place

It’s a modern, efficient style layout. It is in a rural area on, what looks to be a farm, at sometime. The gravel drive from the main road could use a bit of work….large holes all throughout the drive. The cabin has a lot of sleeping area but limited on comfortable “hangout” space for the family. We loved the nice size decks and hot tub overlooking the woods. There seems to be some residential wild turkeys that we saw quite often. Overall, we enjoyed the cabin.

Lovely cabin with good location

We had a great weekend stay at the Honey Bee Hideaway. It was welcoming and had everything we needed! The driveway is quite rough getting back to the cabin and thank goodness the host sent us additional directions. The location was great and the kids enjoyed all the games. We enjoyed the decks and spent a lot of time there until the sun became too much as the shade is minimal. To be on the picky side, all the remotes had batteries missing which was odd and the beds seemed more like full size instead of queens. The cabin was overall smaller than what we expected from the picture, but still accommodated all of us. When we arrived everything appeared clean, but then there was a random paper towel on the counter, part of a wrapper on the table, hair tie on the bathroom floor, and in one of the bathrooms the back of the toilet & bidet handle was not clean.
