Popular with families and young professionals, the neighborhood is ideal for newcomers to San Diego. In addition to a wide variety of local spots for dining and shopping, Mission Valley has several shopping malls where you can indulge in some retail therapy. The San Diego State Aztecs play football games at SDCCU Stadium. Other highlights include San Diego de Alcalá, a Catholic mission established in 1769, and the tony Riverwalk Golf Club, with 18 holes on a public green.
