My husband and I enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Beautiful Camp on Beechwood. It was just as expected - cozy, clean, well-stocked, and a perfect location for rest and relaxation. The cabin was nicely decorated and had everything we needed and wanted. It is located so close to beautiful state parks/forests which provided us with great hiking opportunities.
We found ourselves with a couple days to kill en route between two different events in Long Island NY and Ann Arbor MI. The location for us was spot on, just miles off of Hwy 80. We love camping and nature so this was a perfect fit. The cabin was clean, well appointed and nicely updated. On our open day we drove up to Cook State Forest and took a lovely 4 mile hike. It rained that night so our planned evening fire was out of the running. We appreciated having Wi-Fi as we just settled in and watched TV. Very cozy ambience.
My wife and i wanted to get away for a short trip and this cabin was perfect. The cabin was VERY clean and well stocked. Only things and i admit is nit picking is there werent any regular glasses. I'm a bourbon drinker and it was either, a wine glass, plastic cup, or these weird tall glasses...lol Other than this the cabin has everything you could possibly need to cook a Thanksgiving meal! I would also recommend an extra jug of water as my wife and I drink a lot of water and finished the drinking water in a day and a half. Probably not a problem for most people though. There are loads of excellent local hiking trails nearby and a few good restaurants as well! We would definitely stay here again! Thanks so much to the host!
Qe always enjoy time in this area. The cabin was wonderful and well maintained. Couldn ask for a better location for our wants/ needs. Appreciate the owners wonderful care of the property. Would definitely rent again.
The cabin was absolutely what we needed. The cabin is beautiful. Everything we could possibly need was available. Check-in/check-out was easy and went smoothly.
We just needed a weekend getaway before school started. We were able to relax in the beautiful setting. Even the few showers we got didn't dampen our enjoyment. We just sat on the covered porch and fired up the grill. Then we decided to go adventure through nearby Cook Forest and Clear Creek state parks. The kids got to fish at the Clarion River. Even our two dogs enjoyed the experience.
Our only regret was not having the time to stay longer. We have already discussed returning, when our schedule allow.
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was cute and clean. It was equipped with everything we needed. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed checking out the nearby hiking paths at Cook Forest and Beartown Rocks. Some of the roads were a bit rough but we took our time and didn’t have any issues. It was a nice, rural retreat and we enjoyed some quality family time. 😊
The cabin was super cozy and secluded. We enjoyed seeing the vast amount of wildlife and sitting around the bonfire. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! I would definitely book again if we ever come back up this way!
A lovely cabin; clean and comfortable. It felt like a home-away-from-home more than any other place we’ve ever stayed. The property was beautiful; surrounded on all sides by Eastern Hemlock, on a quiet road. We enjoyed the deer coming into the side yard during the evenings. The birds singing were unreal. Couldn’t have been happier.
Definitely recommend it is a cute place to getaway for a few days! Is pretty easy to find your way around to things and the host is quick to respond to questions.
We were very comfortable and felt like we had everything we needed. The cabin was perfect for our family (2 adults, 3 kids + dog). The stairs to the loft bed area might feel a little dicey for the mobility challenged, fyi! The pullout couch + additional bedding options available gave really great flexibility in sleeping arrangements. Check-in/welcome instructions were very clear and much appreciated. Thanks for the lovely stay!
We loved the cabin. It had a simple decor, free of clutter. The layout was well thought out and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The host left clear notes for everything we needed to know. We had a great time. (The location was a little remote for us, with windy dirt roads - but it was an opportunity for a nice walk down a country lane 😀)
This cabin seems brand new and had everything we needed. There is a queen bed and futon upstairs, an air mattress and a roll out cot (also brand new). We had a lovely visit. Just be warned that the roads in the area are dirt/gravel. Cell service is spotty beyond the cabin itself which has WiFi and streaming TV services. We would stay again!
The cabin was beautiful inside and out, we were definitely in love and didn't want to leave. The area is quiet and peaceful. It was great to get away from city life for a few days and enjoy nature.
Everything has been updated. Place is great for two people. Be sure to look at the roads on a map going in. There are some roads that you need a truck to use but you can find mostly paved roads if you look.
