Ruby's Sea Glass Cottage near Betterton Beach

Have fun with the whole family at this cozy home in the center of Betterton, MD. You can walk to the beach to relax, find some sea glass or watch the sunset! The kids will enjoy the large park within walking distance or the adults can enjoy a game of tennis or pickle ball there. This house has an adorable kitchen stocked with everything you'll need and a gas grill out back. There are three tranquil bedrooms, one amazing bathroom and three beautiful outdoor spaces to unwind. One bedroom has two twin beds, one has a queen bed, one has a king bed. They are all on the second floor. The living room has a sleeper sofa. The bathroom is on the first floor & it has tile that resembles sea glass and heated floors! Besides the great location this house has amazing outdoor spaces and is know for the PORCHES! There is a screened porch on the first floor that is nice to enjoy in the evening, upstairs there is a covered porch which is great to sit on and read a book (enter this porch from the queen bedroom), and there is an open deck off the kitchen to sit on and eat after barbecuing with the gas grill provided. We have mini split HVAC so each bedroom can control their own temperature! We hope you come to Ruby’s Sea Glass Cottage again & again!

Wonderful respite from college life!
We visited our son at a family weekend at Washington College. We wanted to be in a rental for more room and to be able to relax. Ruby's was immaculate, comfortable and they thought of everythiperfect!

A True Gem
We had a lovely weekend stay at Ruby’s sea glass cottage. It is newly renovated, completely outfitted with every amenity you could want or need, and walking distance to the beach and park. We enjoyed playing pickleball on the park’s courts and riding bicycles, grilling out and eating on the back porch, and sleeping in the comfortable beds! We were even entertained on the rainy morning as we played games and worked puzzles that the owner has on hand. A fantastic home that we heartily recommend!

Stay in Betterton
This was such a wonderful stay! My friends and I stayed here for a fishing trip we had scheduled. It worked out perfectly, and we were able to go to the beach one day! I was surprised by how many people were there, but it was still a nice little beach. Homeowner was very helpful and easy to communicate with! Definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed for just one night but wanted to stay longer! The house was impeccable, so cute, VERY clean and comfy. The backyard was great and shady and we had everything we needed. We will def stay again!

Property owner has created a beautiful little cottage, that accommodates a lot of people. They have thoughtfully provided everything you will need but had not thought of yourself. Traditional and modern furnishings. No worn out hand me downs kitschy clutter here.

Multi-Generation Beach Trip
The cottage was beautiful! It looked even better in person than in the pictures. There was plenty of space for our party of 6. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces, especially the upstairs balcony. The outdoor shower with sea glass was amazing! I also really liked having a dining table on the back patio right outside the kitchen for easy indoor/outdoor living. It was a short walk or even shorter walk to the beach, which made for a relaxed beach vacation. My kids loved the local playground which was also very close. Highly recommend to to those looking for a low key beach getaway on the bay.

Hidden gem in Betterton, Maryland
The house is brand spanking newly remodeled. Tanya has gone out of her way to make sure you have a first class experience. She is a very attentive host, even offered us tickets to a local event. Betterton is a nice little town out in beautiful farm country. Already booked another stay.

We named our little white cottage Ruby's Sea Glass Cottage after our little white dog named Ruby. We got Ruby as a surprise & the opportunity to buy this house came as a surprise too! I also chose Sea Glass because I love collecting sea glass & have done it for years in Betterton!
