Superb

Wow! What a beautiful home in a wonderful location. Saying that this is not your typical rental is an understatement. This immaculate beachfront home is the perfect spot to spend time reconnecting with family and friends. Located in a quiet, friendly, community, direct beach access, and wonderful hosts, Dave and Lois. Nothing was overlooked. We arrived to fresh baked bread, home made jam and sweets. Our hosts were readily available but respected our privacy. I cannot say enough here to explian just how wonderful of a stay this was. If your looking for the perfect beach front getaway this is the spot.Thank you Dave and Lois.

About the host

Always dreaming of owning a property on the beach, Dave and I were thrilled to be able to purchase this property in 2016. We wanted our home to be a place where our children and grandchildren always felt comfortable to come home and enjoy this magnificent property. A true coastal beach home was what we wanted to achieve. So the beach rock fireplace, a weathered beam found directly on one of the local beaches was crafted into our mantel, natural stone for the backsplashes and master shower. Our colour palette were all beautiful seaglass colours, soft blues, aquas and corals. It has been a dream come true for our family.

Why they chose this property

Oceanfront property is very difficult to find in Nova Scotia and when this property came up on the market, we were very excited to be able to purchase it. We are directly in front of a beautiful white sandy beach that is private to just a couple of households. The fact that we could hear the ocean waves, seagulls, watch the lobster boats go in and out of the small harbour and hunt for SeaGlass just steps away from our front door was absolutely incredible to us. It’s an amazing property and we are blessed with 5 magnificent white sandy beaches on this small island that you can literally walk for miles. Some days you may not see anyone else. Truly a slice of heaven!

What makes this property unique

Our home is located across a small causeway on an island called, Cape Sable Island. We are on the southern tip of Nova Scotia. What is absolutely unbelievable about our island is that there are 5 large white sandy beaches all within a 10 minute drive from our home. Each one of these beaches are unique and all have a different feel. Some you will be able to hunt for SeaGlass, another you can collect beautiful pieces of driftwood, one where you can sit and watch great sea lions basking on the warm rocks and one that is a bit more secluded than the rest and is an adventure all in itself! And the amazing thing is that these beaches do not include the private one that is directly in front of our home!
