About this property

Enjoy lakefront living on beautiful Keaton’s Lake within the gated community of Lake of the Woods. Keaton’s lake is ideal for fishing, swimming, kayaking or just lounging on the hammock or by the firepit enjoying the peaceful setting and beautiful view. Guests also have access to the 500 acre Main Lake including its beaches, parks and dining.

While here enjoy the neighborhood's 18 hole golf course, walking trails, two swimming pools open in the summer, parks and playgrounds, plus clubhouse dining while watching the sunset over the Main Lake.

The home comfortably sleeps 6, with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is well appointed, all towels and linens are provided, and two kayaks, lifejackets and paddles are available for your use. While you’re here enjoy a wide selection of DVD’s, books, and games. There’s even a well stocked office area with monitor and printer.

Nice Stay

This was a great rental, the owners were excellent. They kept you well informed had everthing stocked up towels ,soaps, toilet paper everthing you need. The home was equipped with games ,air hockey ,kayaks and books. Very quiet lake no gas motors peaceful. Would I stay here again? Definitely!!!

Girls Weekend

We had a wonderful time at this lake house and found the home to be beautiful and accommodating. The indoor and outdoor spaces made this a perfect get away spot! Al is an excellent host and responded promptly and was very helpful. We highly recommend!

wonderful house and exceptional hosts!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront house. Al was very responsive to all my questions. He and his wife attended to all the details that would make guests comfortable. Features that stood out included the cleanliness of the house, the view of the lake from so many areas of the house, the wildlife on the lake, and the opportunity to kayak and fish from the property itself.

Beautiful View of the Lake-Waterfront

We loved the fantastic view of the lake from the kitchen & living room in the morning with coffee and throughout the day! Very clean, comfy beds & well equipped kitchen. There's a theatre & game room downstairs (with another full bath) and full view of the lake through sliders. So nice to have the Adirondack chairs on the dock, shame the weather was cold! We would love to come again soon!

Absolutely amazing

We couldn't have had a better time. I went with 3 girlfriends and we were so comfortable and had so much fun. They have thought of EVERYTHING and have supplies for whatever you could need. The kayaks were amazing, we used the fire pit each night, and being on the lake was beautiful. We loved hanging out in the basement with the game space and projector. The beds are very comfy and the space is very clean. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and so cute. Can't recommend this place enough. The hosts were also very responsive and very kind.

Small Family get together

It was nice to return to Locust Grove after being gone for 7+ years and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Life on the Lake. Plenty of room for entertaining in multiple spaces. The ping pong/air hockey table was a big hit.

Peaceful spot

We had an amazing time at Al and Marcia's wonderful lakefront home. Everything was as described. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We spent much of our time on the upper deck looking at the view of the lake and had most of our meals there. There are so many options of things to do in the house: kayaks, games, air hockey, ping pong, movies and so many books! Early mornings down on the dock drinking coffee was perfect and then evenings by the outdoor firepit. This house sits on a smaller lake and we had access to the larger lake nearby, so we even had a beach day at Clubhouse beach. I can't say enough about this house and the communication with the owners. Everything was wonderful!

Lovely Vacation spot

We had a fabulous time at this lovely lake house. The home is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We all thoroughly enjoyed taking out the kayaks, floating in tubes, swimming in the lake, and just relaxing on the deck with the beautiful view of the lake! Al is a very responsive host and made sure we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Wonderful stay!

The home was wonderful for a quiet getaway my husband and I really needed. The view was beautiful. We enjoyed the air hockey and ping pong table. The pool and beach were delightful especially on the hot days. The host thought of everything you would need during the stay. We will be back.

Lake life is the best life!

We had an amazing time during our stay! The house was even better than described, spotlessly clean and had a beautiful view! Al was exceptional to work with and went above and beyond to be accommodating, even going so far as to send me a map of handicap accessible walking trails that we could take my father-in-law to with his walker. All of the little touches, such as the snacks and water to welcome us and little chocolates on our pillows, make this property stand out even more! My family enjoyed the excellent fishing, kayaking, relaxing, and quality family time. This is a little piece of paradise to which we hope to return!

Fantastic vacation

This is the perfect home for any kind of stay! Not only does this place have everything you need it also has things you didn’t even think you would need. Lake was great for fishing kayaking and swimming. There is plenty of room in the home for people to do their own thing if they want or do something together as a whole family. Definitely stay here if you get the chance.

Relaxing and Peaceful Lake House

We felt welcome in the Lake of the Woods neighborhood. Our host Al, was helpful by providing information about the community, and responsive if we had questions. The lake is quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed morning kayaking and the beauty of the lake. The kids enjoyed swimming at the beach (the big lake) and we even got a chance to play at the community pool. The house is spacious and comfortable, and provided everything we needed. The beds were super comfy! My kids really enjoyed the air hockey table and the projector movies. The collection of books and board games is full of variety, something for everyone! I would love to come back and stay again, the house is charming and super hosts.

Lakeside Oasis

We absolutely loved our stay at Al’s property. There was so much to do, including kayaking, swimming, space for volleyball on the grass, a hammock to read in, board games, poker, ping pong table and air hockey. Not to mention the projector and dvd selection. We came for a weekend and brought our dog and cat and truly had such a wonderful time. The home is clean and extremely well-stocked. The beds are comfortable and the dock is in great shape. We took the kayaks out at least twice a day. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Everything you could ask for and more!

Excellent property that was very clean and had all of the amenities you would need for an enjoyable stay. It was well stocked with clean fresh bath towels, plenty of cooking utensils, plates and equipment for activities. We really enjoyed the kayaks and the hammock on the lake front. 5/5 would recommend and return. Al was very communicative and responded very quickly to any requests.
