Built in 1933, history meets modern in this landmark boutique building that has been lovingly restored and remodeled with thoughtful attention to detail, including large windows, tall ceilings, a mix of original exposed brick and luxury vinyl floors and inspired antique rugs.
The 800-square-foot unit comprises of a full kitchen, living space with spectacular views of Lake Superior and a striking electric fireplace, a charming coffee bar for the ardent barista. The king-size bedroom also offers a generous closet and a large view of the world’s largest freshwater lake and a dazzling light harbor in the distance.
The open kitchen, with local Mesabi black granite, is fully appointed with the guest traveler in mind. A bar counter and three stools and nearby dining table set with four chairs provide views of the lake for relaxing mornings sipping coffee before the day begins and a gathering area at the end of the day for a cocktail, dinner and games. The efficient kitchen is completely equipped with new stainless-steel appliances and single-sink and cookware and utensils. There is nothing you’ll be missing to make your stay comfortable. The bedroom is appointed with a king-sized bed with a comfortable quality mattress and bedding, a closet and a TV. A spacious full bathroom with Onyx shower with glass door is accessible from both the bedroom and living space and features organic EO products. Thor’s lounging area also includes a queen-size sleeper just steps from the shared bathroom. A stackable washer and dryer are hidden away off the unit’s entryway near the kitchen. A smart home, the space has modern amenities including TVs, digital thermostats and electronic entry keypads.
