Beautiful Log Cabin Mountain Top Retreat, Among the Trees
This beautifully decorated log cabin is located on a rural mountaintop and surrounded by forests, laurel thickets, and many varieties of wildlife. Enjoy many outdoors activities such as hiking the Appalachian Trail, exploring the wild horse colonies of Grayson Highlands State Park (called the 'sweetest miles of the AT [Appalachian Trail]' by Backpacker Magazine, August 2007), or taking a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are stocked trout streams and many historical places in the surrounding areas to explore.
The kitchen is well equipped and all linens are provided. Relax on the big wrap around porches as dusk falls or as the sun rises over the crest and enjoy nature at its finest as the turkeys fly over the ridge, or the deer emerge from their resting places in the laurels. Don't forget your camera!
All automobile drivers are encouraged to use a low gear and a steady moderate pace to approach the cabin. The driveway for this cabin is gravel, fairly straight, and has about a 30 degree incline. There is also a water break two thirds of the way up the hill. We encourage motorcycle riders to seriously consider this before booking this cabin.

My husband, adult son and some friends had a fishing trip at Cedar Springs. This property was absolutely perfect for the guys. Plenty of room, fridges and freezers to store the catch of the day and a well stocked kitchen with everything they needed. Location is QUIET and private and about a 30 minute drive to the fishing area which is to be expected .Even had a brief visit from a bear, who obviously could tell they'd been fishing. Wi-fi connection was excellent. Dianne was an absolutely STELLAR host (even communicating well during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene when internet and cell service was spotty). She went above and beyond to make this a successful trip for the boys and we appreciate it so much! The boys do a fishing trip 1-2 times a year and we will 100% be renting with them again if they are available. You can tell that they take pride in the home and take their role as hosts seriously. Could not have asked for better.
Very clean and all the space to boot! Loved the kitchen set up and bed space. Lovely porch space. Needs updated tv--just would be a nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place.
Staying at this cabin is like coming home. It is cozy, comfortable and well equipped. After 3 stays here it is consistently well maintained and easy to be here. I definitely recommend this cabin as a superb get-away!!
We had a wonderful time at the 2 Sisters Cabin. The house is extremely well appointed and the hosts very friendly. We are for sure going to be back, we already talked about another stay in the fall as we are sure the surroundings will be gorgeous with the changing of the leaves. Overall fantastic stay!
We enjoyed our stay at 2sisters cabin. Lovely, peaceful, and private location. We visited Grayson highlands park and went biking on the Virginia creeper trail. House had everything we needed and is well-maintained. We’d love to have a return visit.
Super clean house, weĺ-equipped kitchen, space for everyone to relax, and we didn't eveñ use the downstairs except br ànd ba. 5 stars for this woodsy vacation cabin.
We stayed here years ago when our kids were young and it has always held a special place in our memories. Now, 9 years later, we’ve made more incredible memories to hold on to as our children are transitioning into adulthood.
Everything you need is here, including incredibly comfortable beds, very hot water, and beautiful wood burner. Thank you for sharing your home with us once more and hopefully more in the future!
Second time staying at Two Sisters. Great privacy but close to trails and mountains. Stay here to visit family in the area. So clean and can plenty of space to have a large family
We all enjoyed our stay there. The house was very clean and had everything you needed. Loved the fact that we were the only house and could make all the noise from laughing. We do get loud as we play games. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house.
Feels like being hugged by the forest. The house is beautiful and well appointed. Kitchen has everything there to cook with and so easy to navigate. House is so well organized and no guessing where to find anything. So much space for a family and friends. WiFi works great. No cell service but if your phone works on WiFi you can do that. Very clean and well kept home. We enjoyed our stay. Owners are very courteous and responsive.
It was a very nice place and conveniently located for us between Marion, Galax and Rural Retreat. We also went to Grayson Heights for our wedding pictures, so was central to all we did there! The owners were a joy and easy to communicate with! The cabin was a nice getaway! Thank you for making it a nice stay!
We had the most wonderful stay with our family of 5 and two of our friends. The location was in a perfect location for going to the Creeper Trail in Damascus, Grayson Highland State Park to see the wild horses, and lots of nearby fishing streams.
There was plenty of room in the cabin and it made it so nice to have our own space. A full bathroom and shower on all 3 floors was so nice! We made most of our meals at the cabin in the well stocked kitchen, and the kids certainly enjoyed the TV with the amazing collection of DVDs and VHSs. The cute toy box was a hit also with my toddler. We just loved every thing about this quaint cottage and cannot wait to stay here again. The owner was very sweet and quick to respond with questions. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!
Our family of 3 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 preteens loved Two Sisters. It is VERY well kept, nicely furnished and the most well supplied Vrbo we have stayed in. Owner quickly responded to any questions. Very privately located. Convenient to Grayson Highlands State Park- about 30 minutes. Would definitely stay there again next time we are in that area. ❤️❤️❤️
This was the first opportunity for the Tennessee family to meet our new little great-niece who lives in Virginia. The cabin is perfect! It offers spaces for everyone to gather and then, with bedrooms on 3 floors, there is privacy as well. The owner has anticipated your every culinary need a made sure that it is available. We so enjoyed our time at Two Sisters.
Beautiful place in the woods. Plenty of room for 8 adults.
Super clean and fully equipped.

My sister and I live in two distant cities in North Carolina. We have always been great friends growing up, but owning this house together has made us even closer.
We hope this house will bring your and your family closer together too.
Why they chose this property
My sister and I inherited this house from my mom and dad not long after they built it.
We have some great family memories of this log cabin retreat, and hope you will soon too!
What makes this property unique
It is wonderful to get away from it all. If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of urban life, this is the place to come to rest and restore your soul. Our guests often tell us it is one of the most refreshing vacations they have ever had. We know it will be the same for you.
