Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect location however the photos did not reflect the condition of the property. Needs serious update. Very disappointed as the rental fee has gone way up on the off season.

Port A stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again! The condo is older, but in very good shape. It is located in one of the inlets of the channel and had nice views from both decks. From the decks, we watched the cargo ships go by and saw dolphins literally in front of us. The condo was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to cook a breakfast. The kitchen area is small, but met our needs. There is a narrow spiral staircase right as you enter the condo that leads up to the bedrooms. There is one full bathroom downstairs and one upstairs for both bedrooms to share. We appreciated two single beds in the second bedroom as our children are older and opposite sex. There is a second entrance to the condo from the outside on the top floor. I didn’t realize that until after I hauled the luggage up the spiral staircase. There is a machine downstairs that I assumed was a dehumidifier. There was no information/instructions provided for the machine. The washer/dryer is downstairs in the bathroom. It was handy to have as other places do not provide one. The AC worked very well. It was a bit warmer downstairs compared to upstairs, which I assumed was due to the machine. We didn’t care. It was a nice temp to come in to after being in the muggy heat outside. There was zero mugginess inside. It was nice and cool. The company provided us with all essentials to get started (trash bags, extra toilet paper, soap, and even pods for the washer). Parking is assigned and covered! That was a big plus for us since our car didn’t sit baking in the sun. They offer two spaces which was perfect since we rented a golf cart. The curtains in the bedroom allowed light to come through in the morning. We slept hard so it didn’t bother us at all. The condo is on the end so there was only one neighbor to the left. I loved that. Communication with the company was via text. We enjoyed our stay and as previously stated would say

"unsafe" Vrbo rental

Unfortunately, our stay was awful. My family and I could not stay in the condo. The black mold is unbearable and made my family very sick. That condo is absolutely uninhabitable. Five Minutes after walking in we called the host... My wife and son were so ill that they had to get a separate hotel the second night. Our whole family had to cut our trip short because of the unhealthy conditions of that condo. It made us all sick. Renting out that condo in that condition without disclosure to tenants should be criminal.

Mold @ Baytree C15-16

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived the condo reeked of mold. I find the source of the mold which was the pantry closet. I called the property manager & toldHer the issue. She offered to have maintenance come clean the black growing mold or if we didn’t want to stay there we could drive 2 hours back home. Not very accommodating at all. We stayed Friday and Saturday night and had a headache the whole time in the room. Also as we packed up on Sunday all of our clothes smelled moldy. The mold is that bad in the condo. Please don’t let anyone else stay in the mold infested condos.

Great View, but Room is Lacking

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at BayTree in the past, but this experience was different. As soon as we stepped into our condo, we were met with a musty / mildew-y smell. Upon looking at the air vents and the door frames, we could visibly see mold growing. The upstairs bathroom would not get too much air circulation, causing the area to be hot and humid. There was a piece of cardboard under the fridge to make sure the fridge wouldn't wobble. The washing machine would not fill with water. Either someone turned the water lines off or the lines are clogged. There was no explanation on where the sheets would be for the pull out couches. There was a thin white sheet wrapped in plastic wrap in the closets upstairs but nothing noting it was meant for the couch. Had to go ask the property manager where the sheets were and she said those were it. All in all , somewhat of a disappointment with the room. Because of this, we spent as little time in the room as possible other than to sleep. The only positive is the scenic view from the balconies and the private fishing pier.

Port A Trip

The place was fine the spiral staircase was a challenge hard getting your bags up. The weather turned bad so that was unfortunate. The stairs going up to the condo were scary I thought I might fall through decking. I would rate the place overall about a 7.

Satisfying experience!!

Having always stayed on the Port A beach we decided to experience staying on the Channel. This condo is everything the photos portray. Inside is newly decorated and the furnishings are very lovely. It's very compact - not very comfortably suitable for a group of more than 3-4. Kitchen small. But there is a bathroom with tub/shower on both levels. The deck overlooking the pool, the docks, the pier and the channel was my happy place! Watch from the deck to see foreign tankers, fishing expeditions boats, dolphins, sea turtles. The pool is well taken care of, has great seating for lounging and easily seen from the condo to keep an eye on kids. Note that there are two "entrance" doors to the condo. One on the entry level floor and one on the bedroom level. This is a great thing because the spiral staircase going from kitchen/living room level up to the bedrooms is the tiniest, steepest, narrowest one I've ever seen and it's a bit dangerous as well as too small for carrying up large suitcases safely. The unit was extremely well cleaned - in fact the windows looking out onto the deck were so clean my grandson almost walked into it. The air conditioning is excellent and kept us very cool and comfortable in the August heat/humidity. Other than the spiral staircase the only other "concern" we had was the condition of the stairs from the parking garage to the condo. they are in much need of care and attention...the surfaces are lifting up and off and irregular - take great care. We will certainly return to this particular unit - highly recommend it !

Comfortable condo in Great location

Enjoyed staying at Bay Tree. Debbie was Very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the floors in the Master bedroom closet weren’t cleaned. I’d also recommend they have a listing of restaurants and other convenience stores nearby for those of us who had never been to Port A. But we would stay here again!
