We had a great stay at the cabin. The location was wonderful and the cabin was cozy. Plenty of space. The trails were nice on the property. Great location to fairystone. Our only issue was that it was a little chilly in the cabin. The owner communicated with us that the heat was checked before our stay but we were unable to get the house above 55 degrees so we ended up leaving a few days early.
It was wonderful.we enjoyed the park we enjoyed fishing 🎣 on the property the house was nice had everything we needed enjoyed time around the fireplace enjoying family can't wait to come back.have been trying to come back but y'all are busy & staying booked but can't wait to visit again Ty for welcoming us into your house we enjoy it 🙂❤️
Great location if you are visiting Fairystone Park. Great location if you are staying in. Our little Cairn Terrier had a great time roaming the property with us. Spent lots of time on fishing in the pond, plenty of Bluegill, with Bass and Crappie as well.
We had a family trip to collect fairy stones, grandparents, parents, and 2 children. We knew it was going to be fun when we pulled in the driveway and was met by Sasquatch (a giant wood carving).
The house was well stocked and laid out great. The kitchen was small but there is a front screened in porch and a back open deck and this is where we shared our meals.
The children loved having a fishing pond on the property and we had campfires and caught fireflies every night. There were several trails on the property too.
Fairy Stone Park was a very short drive, you could probably walk there. We enjoyed the lake and trails.
It was a great and memorable trip.
My husband & family and I really enjoyed our stay. I got married at Fairystone State park so it was a great location for getting ready and being able to keep my dog close to us as we are 1 hr from there. The front covered porch served us well as we spend 99% of our time out there. Our cell service was fine- it just depends on your carrier. It over all was very pleasant & clean. We have already said we will have to plan a stay again to enjoy more of Fairystone and the space on the land to play with animals, have a fire or go exploring! Thanks Thea!
What a delightful place to spend a weekend! Went with my elementary school aged kids and we had a blast. The cabin is just right, especially the long screened in porch and fire pit! On the property, we loved making smores, playing ping pong, and fishing - the kids kept pulling up sunfish and they’re small enough for them to easily release back. Plenty of tadpoles to see too! The cabin is right next to fairy stone where the ranger programs were fantastic (and the mint moose tracks ice cream was too) - and we also checked out woolwine (mountain biking) and Mabry Mill - 25 min and 40 min away with views most of the drive on iron bridge rd. The view from philpott dam is also gorgeous. The cell service is just right for an unplugged weekend - not enough to spend the weekend on your phone, but enough to make phone calls. Thea was such a wonderful and flexible host. Absolutely recommend for an unplugged outdoor adventure weekend.
