Had a great time and the space was very accomodating. When we arrived there was water leak under the sink and we had not experienced a touchless faucet so had to call. Would have been nice to have a little notecard by the sink to tell you how to use it. Also expected an explanation to what to do when we depart but did not see anything in writing so had to message and get instructions.
The beds were comfy. Kitchen well-stocked with necessities. Convenient location to walk all of Abingdon without needing to get back in a vehicle. The only improvement I would suggest for the house is a few extra blankets/snuggle blankets around. A couple friends got chilly and there wasn't really anything. I had asked if we could check in a little early and never heard back. Thankfully it was only an hour and when we arrived (an hour early) the house was ready, despite no response from the property manager.
This house is absolutely perfect in every way! Very well appointed kitchen, super comfortable beds, clean, comfortable, great location- it was wonderful!
We had six adults and two children. There was room for all of us to sit in the living room, eat in the dining room, and it was tight but doable to have all eight of us working in the kitchen! Bedrooms were fine and we were close to the center of town. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved celebrating Thanksgiving here. The house was great! The upgrades were as well. Very welcoming home rather than a house. One of the very best we’ve stayed in over the years. Enjoyed the convenience to so many places to eat and shop. Loved Mama Mia’s for pizza and Italian.
We had a great stay at this VRBO. The house was as described for the amenities and its location. It was a 3 minute walk to the Martha Washington Inn where our meeting was being held. We were happy to have a space to go back to relax and regroup.
I took my 85-year-old mother and her 86-year-old friend for a weekend in Abington. We went to the Barter theater and dinner reservations in town. The location was perfect. The house was perfect. Everyone had their own space. We had great times on the front porch. Great times around the kitchen table. Great times in the living room. Thank you for such a perfect house and a great weekend!
The house was very adequate for our group, and the kitchen was well-equipped. Bathrooms were clean and adequate for all our needs. The space in all the rooms was very comfortable. The location was great for us to explore shops and restaurants on Main St., and we loved attending the play at the Barter Theater. The house is a great location for enjoying Abingdon and all it's charm.
We were supposed to spend 3 nights there. We had a race in town that was postponed by one day. We decided to arrive later with that in mind. The electricity was out all over Abingdon and surrounding areas. Our race was canceled so we ended up coming home and didn't stay.
However, the house is so beautiful. We were disappointed in not getting to stay. We will definitely book this the next time we are in Abingdon.
The host was great to work with on a possible late checkout and was understanding of us leaving early with no power and our race canceled.
Excellent house experience once we were able to find house . Wrong address and when called to clarify was sent pin for same wrong address. Please correct street address so future guests are not delayed for sons rehearsal party.
Beautiful house and location. Thank you.
The house is either # 1 or # 2 on our all time VRBO list.
It was within walking distance of the Barter Theater and downtown Abingdon. We saw 2 great plays. And it was an easy drive to Damascus for shuttles to ride our bikes on 2 days on the Virginia Creeper Trail.
We had a group with ages from 4 to senior grandparents. There was plenty of room for all. The home was extremely clean, well decorated and met all of our needs.
Everything was perfect to accommodate our family while we were in town for a wedding. The house was very communicative and the house had everything we needed. The location was perfect.
We had a wonderful girls’ trip to Abingdon, and this house was a perfect spot for us to gather! The house is beautifully decorated, the beds are comfortable, and the location is great! We hiked at Grayson Highlands and had some great meals in Abingdon. Overall it was a super weekend!
This property is a tastefully renovated house at a great location in downtown Abingdon. Comfortable beds, excellent kitchen and dining area, large rooms, and multiple common spaces to gather (plus a nice porch). Communications with property managers were prompt and responsive. Our group greatly enjoyed our stay.
We were four retirees riding motorcycles from Canada and Boston to enjoy all the mountain passes and switchbacks and this house was perfect in all ways. Starting with a brand new gourmet kitchen fully stocked with all housewares. On to three full size bedrooms with one smaller single plus 3 new bathrooms, the house is a recently well-done renovation. Covered carport was very usefull and the location was great. Walking distance to about 10 restaurants and in the heart of Appalachia backroad and trail country. Host was quick to respond to any questions. Thanks Beth.
This Vrbo rental was FANTASTIC. We will defitely reserve this location each year we visit the area for our family reunions. Clean, excellently decorated, just everything was perfect with the rental!
