Skyline Yurt is a one-of-a-kind luxury getaway nestled in the tranquil serenity of the mountains. Here, you won't find any compromises with respect to the top-notch cabin-like structure, modern amenities, a hot tub, wood-burning stove, archery, EV charger, spacious elevated deck, pool table, board games, and so much more! This magnificent pet-friendly Skyline Cabin / Yurt is surrounded by the captivating scenery of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains at an elevation of over 1,100 ft! Experience the #YurtLife—only an hour from Washington, DC and two hours from Baltimore.
Skyline Yurt is a custom wooden yurt located only 13 miles (20 minutes) away from the entrance to famous Skyline Drive, which sits along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park. Constructed using the finest materials and significant attention to detail, this space will invite you and your family and friends to immediately make yourselves at home. Furnished with plenty of modern conveniences, the Skyline Cabin / Yurt sets out to provide a unique experience offering comforts akin to those of a chic boutique hotel. We also offer an EV charging station for those in need, as our property was built with the environment in mind.
Along with these features, the property has a dependable climate control system, wood-burning stove, hot tub, WiFi (which is slow and sporadic due to the property’s rural location, but we are on the Starlink waiting list to ensure future improvement), and a smart TV with Disney Plus and Netflix. We also have smart speakers, a designated workspace, pool table, PlayStation 5 with four controllers, and an assortment of board games.
The yurt features a full kitchen with an island, dining table, cookware, utensils, refrigerator with an icemaker, dishwasher, electric stove, microwave, multicooker/rice maker, and a Nespresso coffee machine! You'll have everything you need to carry out your morning and evening routines, as well as wine glasses for your wine and cheese afternoon happy hour!
With respect to design, the Skyline Cabin / Yurt has a loft with a pool table, a living area with an open floor plan and vaulted ceilings, windows with expansive views, and a glass dome. For your convenience, a washer/dryer combo unit is situated on the main floor.
The spacious deck features a picnic table, gas grill pre-filled with propane, and a sunken 7-person hot tub. The outdoor area also boasts a fire pit, cornhole game, and archery stand. All amenities, including the Lever 2 EV charging and a 40-pound traditional Kainokai recurve longbow with arrows for archery practice, are free to use.
Skyline Cabin / Yurt is best suited to accommodate four (4) people, with two (2) bedrooms featuring queen-size beds. The property can, however, sleep up to eight (8) people thanks to a king-size sleeper sofa in the loft (classified as a bedroom due to a privacy screen) and a spacious sleeper couch in the sitting area. For your convenience, linens, sleeping eye masks, earplugs, an iron, and umbrellas are all provided.
Skyline Cabin / Yurt is CHILD-FRIENDLY BUT NOT CHILDPROOF, so please keep that in mind.

IMPORTANT
Due to its location in the woods, a wide range of animals share our environment—including possibly a few bears. To prevent insect infestations, guests should properly clean the kitchen every night and securely package all food. PLEASE AVOID LEAVING FOOD OR TRASH OUTSIDE, AS THIS WILL ATTRACT WILD ANIMALS.
Cell service
Due to its distant, rural setting, Skyline Yurt may have spotty cell service.
Property capacity and guest restrictions
Only guests listed in the booking record are permitted to stay overnight, and anyone found in violation of this regulation will be evicted immediately without a refund. It is crucial to mention the correct number of guests in the reservation. Therefore, if this number changes after your original booking for any reason, kindly update your reservation accordingly.
Pets
Pets are permitted on and around the property for a $50 fee and must be pre-approved. Please send us a message with a photo, pet age(s), and any other pertinent information—keeping in mind that all animal companions must be well-trained.
Early check-in/late check-out
Early check-ins and late check-outs are accommodated if at all possible. However, please note each will summon a $50 fee to compensate the cleaning staff for this adjustment. Early check-in is at 2pm, and late check-out is at 1pm.
Property quiet hours
Property quiet hours of 10pm to 6am are governed by county ordinance and enforced by local police. If law enforcement responds to a noise complaint, each person on the premises may face a misdemeanor criminal offense charge and $250 fine from the county. A failure to comply with the county noise code will result in immediate termination of the stay without a refund.
No fireworks
Fireworks are strictly prohibited on the grounds, and guests who violate this policy must leave the premises without a refund and face subsequent fines.
Additional cleaning fees
If further clean-up that goes beyond the regular cleaning procedure is necessary, a $90 additional cleaning fee will be charged at the sole discretion of the host.
Damage payments
Any damage to the property or its contents that costs more than the security deposit will be charged to the visitor and reported to Airbnb.
Pass-along fee
If a guest violates property rules and thus triggers a refund/discount for the next guest scheduled to visit the property, the offending party will be held liable for any income loss sustained by the host.
Trash
A garbage bin enclosure is located outside the yurt. Please ensure all trash bags are placed inside the trash cans and that the trash can enclosure is always securely locked. Absolutely no rubbish should be left outside due to the abundance of wildlife.

Damage to the hot tub cover will result in a $400 charge. The cover should remain on the hot tub at all times when not in use. Guests agree that there will be no horseplay in the hot tub and to not sit on, jump on, or misuse the hot tub cover in any manner.
Guests acknowledge and accept the risks associated with hot tub use. Guests voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident, death, personal injury, or property damage that may arise from hot tub use. By using the hot tub, guests agree to follow all house rules associated with the same and release the host/property owner from any and all claims, liability, or losses arising out of or in any way associated with the guests’ use of the hot tub: including, but not limited to death, personal injury, or property damage, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.
