Petit Jacques is a two bedroomed 200 year old stone farmhouse. It remains a small walnut tree farm with around 20 walnut trees. Petit Jacques sits next to the adjoining main house Maison Jacques in a slightly elevated position in the centre of the village of Saint Cybranet in the heart of the Périgord Noir region. Most of the regions main attractions are within a very short distance. There is lots of garden for children to play, dogs to run around and for you to relax and enjoy the view or sit and shade under the walnut trees. Our guest have full use of all of our gardens to relax and play in and each Gite has it's own private space for outside eating. Whilst we don't have a swimming pool please don't underestimate the joys of river swimming. The river Ceou is just a 5 min walk from our door for safe swimming for even the youngest of children. Whilst a 5 minute drive can take you to a number of riverside beaches where you can swim, canoe, paddle board and picnic

Perfect place for relaxing and visiting the region
We had a wonderful and relaxing couple of weeks in this Jan’s property. The place is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed swimming in the nearby river and taking walks around the beautiful surroundings with our beagle dog, who was very welcome in the house and could run in the garden.
The house has a strategic location which allows to visit the region very comfortably without driving long distances.
We loved our stay and we truly recommend it!

About the host
Your host
Im Jan. I lived in France since 2020. Enjoying a far more relaxed life with my partner Nigel and our cocker spaniel Jack.
I’m from Sussex in the UK. Where I worked in the catering industry and coach industry where they went hand in hand organising ski trips.
I love skiing canoeing paddle boarding and nature which there is plenty of here in the Dordogne.
Why they chose this property
This area is so beautiful. Stunning winding rivers. Chateaux’s up on the hills and old towns that just gives me that feeling I’ve just stepped back in history.
What makes this property unique
Converted old barn with stunning views of the ceou valley. Full of wildlife and wild flowers. All main attractions only 15 minutes drives away or easy cycling distance.
