About this property

Fishing Lodge on Methow River with Pool and Hot Tub

This property DOES NOT accept "BOOKING REQUESTS" Please begin with an inquiry describing your group and purpose of visit. This house is wonderful in all the seasons. It is a fall Steelhead fishing and deer hunting paradise as well as a summer fly fishing heaven as it sits perched on one of the best fishing holes on the Methow and surrounded by 5 acres of pasture, orchard, and riverfront. In the winter there is a wild sledding hill. In the summer, sunbath by the pool while viewing the mountains or jump in the river and float down on inner tubes to the town swimming hole. July and august the rivers edge becomes a fantastic beach with swimming hole.Hop in the hot tub after a day of skiing, hunting, fishing, biking and take in the spectacular view of the valley floor with the cascades in the backdrop and the Methow river 30 yards to the west.

This property faces west so it gets daylight and sunsets later than anywhere in the valley. The House shares 5 acres with another rental property of mine called Aliwood. VRBO #503768 . The combination of the two makes this a perfect compound for a family retreat .The house interior is rich with knotty pine walls, a huge stone hearth and views galore. walking into this house is like walking onto the set of Tombstone. Very turn of the century western complete with large collection of Louis Lamour western novels. bedrooms have cozy duvets, and Ralph Lauren sheets. All the rooms afford views with the master having two porches from which to sip your morning coffee. The bunk room has six bunks, , all with colorful Pendelton blankets. The kitchen is a chefs dream ; wolf range with infrared grill, a cowhide covered sub zero, cast iron cookwear, 10 ft island, large collection of vintage hull drip wear. There is a treehouse deck with hanging beds and a 14ft table for outdoor dining in the shade with a view of river and mountains.Indoor dining is in a swiss challet type dining room with antlers and chandeliers. The house is only 1.5 miles from Twisp, 7 miles from Winthrop , 25 mins from Mazama and Sun Mountain Lodge for groomed trails or 25 mins to Loop Loop for downhill. On the same property is my house, Aliwood, also with a pool and hot tub. .VRBO#503768. For large groups it makes for a nice compound. They both have privacy and their own pool and hot tub. The pool is open from May to September. There is a massive lawn in between the two with a huge play structure for the kids and a trampolineI DO NOT ACCEPT BOOKING REQUESTS.PLEASE START WITH A BOOKING INQUIRY.

Great getaway
Amazing, it had everything you read about the property and more. Our family loved the fact that everything was there and you didn’t have to go anywhere. The pool and hot tub was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it, especially the grandkids. Hoping we get an opportunity to stay there again.

Perfect multi-family vacation spot
This was our fourth year at the Fishing Lodge and we already have it booked for summer 2025! It’s the perfect spot for our 3-generation family summer vacation. The rustic vibe gives it a comfortable, homey feel that’s great for family meals together, games, and just lounging around. Everyone loves the pool and patio just outside the back door. And the view of the river and the Methow Valley make a great backdrop. You’re close to Twisp and Winthrop for shopping and dining, and several nearby lakes and the river are great for kayaking and paddle boarding. Ali is a great host and always makes us feel welcome.

Great stay!
We had a wonderful time at the house. It was cozy, with lots of room for our group of three families. The kids loved the outdoor space and sledding hill, and the adults loved the hot tub and relaxing by the fire. The home is in a beautiful location and close to the town of Twisp. We will be back!

Loved our Stay at the Fishing Lodge
My husband and I stayed at the Fishing Lodge in Twisp for 2 weeks in September. We had a wonderful stay! Oh my gosh!--the views from the Lodge are amazing. From the property you have completely unobstructed views of the Methow River winding through the valley and all the way to the Cascade Mountains. The Lodge is right on the Methow River. There are so many wonderful places to enjoy the property from. One of our favorites was the deck that seemed to hang in the tree canopy overlooking the river. We loved the hanging beds. The pool and hot tub were very clean and crystal clear. The property is very private, with an orchard to walk through and a place to sit on the riverbank. There is also a fire pit. While the property is only a few miles from Twisp and Winthrop, it feels quite rural. We were visited by wild turkeys every morning and had a great time watching the wildlife on the river. The Lodge itself is lovely, with a rustic western/Ralph Lauren vibe but with every modern convenience. The owner Ali has a great eye for design and has created a relaxed casual getaway with touches of luxury. Ali was responsive when we needed something and very welcoming. It truly felt like our home for two weeks and we hope to return soon.

Birthday Weekend
I rented Ali's house for my 40th birthday celebration with family and friends. It was the perfect spot for adults and toddlers. The kids loved the toy horses, stuffed animals and the pool and the adults loved the views, river and all the different places to eat meals and have conversations. Ali was super responsive and sent someone over each night to close the pool and then reopen in the morning since we had toddlers. I am already trying to figure out how to have a girls weekend here in the future!

Great stay!
The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The views are amazing! Our teens had a great time on the trampoline and in the river. They even caught a few fish! We were able to see the Starlink (satellites) one evening which was very cool. Ali was the perfect host: friendly and available if needed but not in our business. There were parts of the house that may need more attention when cleaning, but nothing that would keep us from coming back. Amazing property and host! Would gladly visit again! Thanks, Ali!

Fishing Lodge Bliss
As city dwellers for over two decades, the opportunity to immerse ourselves in nature is something we always jump at. The Fishing Lodge was like having our own Yellowstone ranch along the River. I am an early riser and spent most mornings having coffee and breakfast outside. The cooler mornings were also perfect for the hot tub. Did you see the outside space? Though it was just the two of us, we could have a dozen people with us and still have tons of space. This home is beautiful and has it all..the well stocked kitchen, Weber grill, huge outdoor spaces, cozy beds with great linens, high-end furniture, and quirky, tasteful touches at every turn. Though we had some smoke, it did not take away the views to the North Cascades and wildlife all around. The wildlife was one of the highlights for us. We were checked out by the cutest little weasel. I watched an osprey pluck a fish right out of the river. We watched mama deer lead her two fawns across that same river. When they were not fording the rapids, they were grazing in the yards, along with mama wild turkey and her chicks. The owner is highly responsive and thoughtful. She lives very close by if you need anything. She even brought us a wonderful hand painted bottle of red wine to enjoy during our stay. We will be back for sure!

AMAZING!
We stayed at the Fishing Lodge. Everything one needs is here, just bring your group & food! Accommodations are luxurious western style, very clean & comfortable beds, large multi bunk bed room for adults or children, gourmet kitchen, impeccable interior and exterior decor, surrounding views, child/adult tree house with 2 beds, night stands, table seating for 12, pool, hot tub, kayaks, bicycles, floating devices, wood for fireplace if it’s winter, piano for music, song & dance, Top of the line appliances and BBQ Grill, the river immediately out front for fishing (we caught trout and there are plenty more there!). It’s located very near restaurant’s, grocery stores, bakery (organic and not), and MOST outdoor recreational activities. There’s a Resort and the Western Town of Winthrop nearby too. Truly a super-rental & vacation location spot you don’t want to miss! Sooo MANY fun things to do and simply too many fun and cool features to mention! We also truly appreciate our Host Ali and her partner who were beyond available and accommodating. they are very cool, friendly Hosts, and their lovable, friendly dog whom we enjoyed sharing with as well! We will definitely reserve again soon for next year!

Great multi-generation vacation spot
This homey lodge is the perfect spot for a multi-generation vacation. Bunks for the kids and comfortable beds for all the adults. The pool just outside the door was a big hit with everyone. The long table in the “tree house” provided a shady dinner spot on a hot day. This was our third year at The Fishing Lodge and we’ve already booked our vacation for next year.

Incredible stay in Twisp
My friends and I stayed for three nights at Ali's Fishing Lodge property, and it was a fantastic experience in every aspect. First, the location on the Methow is prime, and in early September we were able to enjoy the beach on the riverfront and float the river starting from the property. Second, the lodging itself is stellar. You can feel the craft and care that went into the home, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Plus, the lodge was very well stocked with everything imaginable for our group. And finally, Ali went totally above and beyond as a host! She was communicative, helpful, and even gave our group a ride into Winthrop. Thank you again for your hospitality Ali! I'd recommend this stay to anyone, and I'll definitely be returning.

Casual, comfortable family getaway
Great multi-generation getaway with lots of room for everyone to spread out and have fun. Grandkids loved the pool and took over the bunk room as their sleeping and hangout space. The adults could get some quiet time in the “treehouse” or just hang out by the pool and take in the sun and the beautiful view of the mountains and the river. We found lots of close-by trails for hiking and biking, and great small lakes for paddle boarding and kayaking. This was our second year at the Fishing Lodge and we’ve already booked this great house for Family Vacation 2023.

Great spot!
We had a fabulous time gathering with three generations at this house. Wonderful indoor/outdoor space. Kids were in the pool all the time. River was beautiful and we were able to take out our fishing raft right below the house for easy river access. Beautiful sunsets and house had everything we needed plus some. Would love to bring another group back in the future!
