See Downeast Maine and Acadia National Park and stay in the Hummingbird!
Stay in our cozy camper five minutes from the Schoodic area of Acadia National Park where you can drive the Schoodic Loop Road with spectacular views of the rugged coastline and islands. Hike or bike the trails, enjoy wildlife watching or fishing as well.
At the southern tip of Schoodic Peninsula is Schoodic Point, quite possibly the prettiest spot in all of Acadia National Park. And since it's located in the Schoodic portion of one of the most visited national parks in the US, it only sees about 10% of the tourist traffic the main area of the park on Mt. Desert Island sees.

Fantastic for a couple! Amazing location for the hikes we wanted to do and get off grid. The heat worked great. Very cozy and perfect for our trip to seeing Acadia Nat Park
This camper was in a very quiet location and had stargazing opportunities. Make sure you like who you're staying with, because it is tight in there, but very clean and everything worked well and it was exactly as advertised.
Stayed 2 nites and 1 day. Very quiet, peaceful and convenient. Very nice and patient hostess with a wealth of information to make stay easier and enjoyable. Quick to communicate when needed. Very pleased with the option.
The Hummingbird is a perfect little spot in the woods. It’s a good place to sit outside by the fire in the evenings, and close enough to all the beauty of Acadia National Park to be able to ride , walk, or play all day.
The property is clean and gorgeous. The host is highly responsive and caring about your experience. The manual for the rental is very thoughtful and well-executed.
The Hummingbird was super cute and and in the perfect spot. Traveling to my destinations was easy from this central spot
I would say it's perfect for one! Cozy but smaller than I thought.
Quiet serene location close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Enjoyed sitting around the fire pit. Camper is clean and comfortable. Host is excellent communicator.
This was perfect for my 18 year old daughter and I as we celebrated her amazing accomplishments and her high school graduation! Senior trip to remember! Great location! Absolutely beautiful!!! The Schoodic Peninsula is much quieter than the main Island but close enough to see both!!!
We enjoyed our stay at the Hummingbird. It was relaxing and Stephanie was a great host! The camper was exactly as described in the listing. Would definitely recommend staying here.
My gf and I stood here while we were visiting Acadia and our accommodations couldn't have been better! Stephanie's great, she provided all we needed to ensure we were comfortable during our time here, including a detailed guide of local attractions and places to visit. She was also extremely quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. The Hummingbird itself is a bit small inside, but otherwise fit our needs perfectly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near Acadia!
This location is perfect and a beautiful piece of property! The privacy is nice but also nice to have the option the just walk over if anything is needed. Verly highly recommended and we will definitely be back again!!!! P.S. the veggies were amazing!!!!!
The camper is small, but more than enough for one or two people. Both areas of Acadia are less than an hours drive and there are some great seafood stands nearby. The location is peaceful and offers a nice parking area. I was the first renter of the season and the camper was a little dirty but nothing that would stop me from recommending this to others!
Property was easy to find. It was amazing having a fire and the complete relaxing experience. So many things to do and see in a short distance!!! Bar harbor, Acadia schoodic loop, restaurants and wineries!!! The host was exceptional helped us to steam lobsters and shared great places to see!! Bonfire pit was great !!! We stayed other places on the route north but stayed here several because we loved it sooo much !!! We will back ❤️ property is beautiful and breathtaking!!! Best vacation and experience in years highly recommend!!
The trailer was roomy enough for my wife and I, there were snacks provided for us along with everything we needed to cook if we wanted too. The host was respectful of our privacy but also available on the property for any needs. The night sky was amazing!! We will definitely be staying here again next time we head to the Bar Harbor area.

Why they chose this property
You'll stay in our adorable 20-foot travel trailer with all the comforts of home: stocked kitchen with gas burners, convection microwave and refrigerator/freezer plus pantry space, full bath, and queen bed. Bluetooth stereo inside and out. Outside is an awning and seating for al fresco dining. Roast on our firepit, rinse off with the outdoor shower. While we don't have wifi yet there is a TV in the bedroom area with multiple local channels with lots of programming and a DVD player.
What makes this property unique
In addition to your private piece of the woods, you can walk the grounds of the rows of vegetables or the trails that snake through acres of Christmas trees or hike the woods around the camper. There is a small pond if you care to catch frogs or dip your feet. Other things to note: The peninsula features the quieter section of Acadia National Park, but that means no lines, plenty of parking and many places to grab snacks or dine.
