About this property
NEW Escape to Sugar Chalet: Modern Rustic Retreat
Welcome to Sugar Chalet - Our thoughtfully designed cabin home newly remodeled surrounded by trees. It's the perfect getaway for you & the family and its central location makes it easy for you to get around.
-10 min to Great Smoky Mountain National Park
-7 min to Downtown Gatlinburg
-2 min to Ober Mountain
-10 min to Shops, Dining & Grocery
Take a dip in the hot tub, play games, relax on the deck, and grill up a delicious meal for all your family & friends while taking in the starry night sky.
Please keep in mind that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.
The driveway up to the cabin is short, steep, and paved. We recommend 4WD during the winter months.
Although heavy snow is rare in the Smokies during the winter, it does happen occasionally. Snowfall typically occurs from December through March, and sometimes as early as November. Note that if the weather is snowy or icy, 4-wheel drive may be necessary to reach the cabin - so check the forecast before you leave.
Also, please note that our neighborhood is next to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and there are many bears that frequent the area. Please don't feed the bears and please lock your cars! If you place trash outside, only use the bear trash can provided.

About the host
Hosted by Rachel and Jenelle

We've lived all over California and LOVE to travel. We've admittedly left our heart in many places where after we stayed in a vacation rental, we've thought about moving there. That's the feeling and experience we want to give to you when you stay with us! Feel free to book or message us first, we're happy to answer any specific questions in advance.
By day, we work in the tech field as an Accountant and Account Executive. By night, we enjoy watching scary movies (well, all movies really), finding hidden gems at hole-in-the-wall restaurants as well as indulging in fancy upscale fine dining, and hanging out with our mini dachshund, Greyson.
We are both well-traveled guests so we know what a host should do to create a comfortable and lasting guest experience. Our favorite countries visited: Italy, Japan, Thailand.
Be sure to ask us about the best local restaurants. It's our favorite thing to do for fun and happy to provide recommendations!
Why they chose this property
Our favorite thing to do is go to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
What makes this property unique
Every aspect of this chalet has been remodeled to breathe new life into this Rustic Modern Cabin Design.
While the home is equipped to host 10 people, we think the perfect group size is 8. We're happy to host all 10 but keep in mind it will be a little cozier.
