About this property

The heritage harbour loft

Beautiful private loft in an almost 300 year old national monument.
It is a super nice place that has been made with a lot of love and attention.
When you step inside you feel how the old meets the new and that feels good.

The view is great on the marina and the shopping street. Because it is in the middle of the historic center you enjoy!

Hidden Gem..!!

The vibrant communication with the owner, the seamless and efficient check-in process, the meticulously clean loft, and the excellent amenities made our stay in downtown Dordrecht a fantastic experience. The central location placed us amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. We were pleased to find a charming breakfast spot called "Het Magazijn" just across from the loft, with a delightful courtyard. Despite the challenging steep stairs and the climb of three flights, we are excited to return for another visit."We had an excellent experience staying in downtown Dordrecht. Communication with the owner, Pascal, was terrific; the check-in process was easy, the loft was clean, and the amenities were fantastic. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything. There's a beautiful breakfast place called "Het Magazijn" across from the loft, and it has a fantastic courtyard.

The renovation and restauration was done by the owner of the property. It took about 3 years to complete the loft as it is now.
He loves it and took so much care for the loft to turn it into what it is today.
Feel free to ask any questions.

Why they chose this property

The city center of Dordrecht is very old with lots of monuments. To be in the center nexto a canal is really amazing. It’s one of the most beautifull towns in the Netherlands.

What makes this property unique

The property is a restored and renovated monument.
The house was built in 1746 and has quite a long history. The upper floor where the loft is located uses to function as a storage. The wooden beams uses to function as a leverage system.
During the restoration and renovation it was the desire to keep the old and combine it with the new. So the roof is painted on the inside in white and the beams are kept in the original form. This way the construction and the beams really stand out which give it an excellent outlook. It really looks marvelous!
