Canceled day of

The host canceled our reservation the morning of check in. We had to scramble and find a hotel last minute which cost us double. We will expect the host or Vrbo to cover the additional costs. Completely unacceptable.

Avoid at all costs

Our reservation was confirm and I was given an address of an alley 5 miles away. Contacted the owner for the real address and had to contact her again to get entry instructions just hours upon our arrival. Also called but her voice mailbox was full. Upon arrival, we found NO toilet paper. No instructions for WiFi or the televisions, two of which never worked. The master tub mysteriously back filled from the drain with dirty water coming from who knows where? Our friends in 2nd bedroom let us use their shower which negated paying for "2 bedroom/2 bath" accommodations. Closets/cabinets are filled with dirty rags and sheets, wet towels, trash bags, half-used cleaning supplies & personal shower products. Found fossilized dog feces behind the abandoned flat screen TV in the master closet. Owner never replied back to me regarding any of this. If only I could post pictures! Other negatives: Bathrooms are not well lit. No place to put your suitcases or clothes. Vertical blinds and balcony screen door don't work. No curtains on the windows so there's light coming in day and night. Location of the gym made it noisy. The positive? The pool, gym, sauna, & patios are nice and clean. Felt pretty safe considering all the security features for parking and entry. A/C works great! Kitchen facilities and amenities were good. Sheets and pillows were clean and the bed was comfortable. I contacted owner again 8 more times, but does not respond. I expected something better at this price point.

Spacious California Getaway

It was nice to stay in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo on our trip to Los Angeles. The building was quiet, with secure, indoor parking. The beds were super comfy, which is very important when you're sleeping away from home! It was also great to have a washer & dryer in the unit, along with a dishwasher. Anything we needed was in the unit: hairdryer, iron, coffee maker, toiletry staples were available. Shopping of all kinds was just across the street. We didn't tend to eat in the nearby restaurants, due to spending a good amount of time running around, but I wouldn't imagine you'd find it difficult to find good ones nearby. We found that the unit was within 45 minutes (even with L.A. traffic) from anywhere we wanted to go. There was also a bus stop right across the street. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
