Enjoy the quiet, relaxing countryside while staying in this original farmhouse, with the amenities of Wausau or Merrill just minutes away. Lots of lawn area to allow children or pets to run and play. Located on one of Marathon County’s numerous UTV/ATV friendly roads you will be able to pull out of the driveway and enjoy the countryside on your UTV or ATV. This property is also a snowmobile riders dream, as the snowmobile trail runs right across the field behind the barn. Looking to ski Granite Peak, it’s just 12 miles away. Other close attractions: Willow Springs Garden 4 miles away, Monk Botanical Gardens 8 miles, Rib Mountain State Park 13 miles, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum 11 miles, The Grand Theater 12 miles, the Woodchucks Athletic Park 12 miles and Council Grounds State Park 10 miles. Two car attached garage, three season porch and laundry in the basement. The barn and out buildings on the property are not part of the rental.

Quick great stay

We stayed here for 2 nights with our dogs. It was a great relaxing stay, with so much room for us all. Kitchen had everything we needed. The living room recliners were comfortable and great for a napKatie was so easy to work with and we really appreciate the ease of it all.

Perfect Getaway

Clean, conveniently located, and secluded. Great place to stay, especially with two dogs. My son and dogs loved running in the large yard and we loved that it was just a short drive to Wausau. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay in the countryside.

We stayed for a wedding weekend at Willow Springs Garden barn, this was close and convenient. Plenty amenities if needed. Large yard for our dog & toys for our grandson. Definitely would recommend.

Cozy and comfortable farmhouse

This is the 2nd year we've stayed at this home. We love how cozy and comfortable it is and that we can bring our dog! Communication with owner is great. There were a lot of bugs during our stay this year, not sure why, flies and ladybugs. Overall, we like it very much and would stay here again.

Peaceful

It is a very old but very well kept nice country farm house. You can feel the history and really soak in the peace and quiet. We have family near by and will likely stay there again in the future.

We were in the area to ski at Granite Peak. The house was extremely clean, well stocked and cozy! We enjoyed the pub/restaurant at the end of the road and the SawMill Brewery. We would stay here again!

Relaxing getaway!

It was a beautiful farmhouse on a quiet road! Location was great and close to both Wausau and Merrill. The kids loved the bunkbeds! I highly recommend this property and we are planning another stay in the future!

Great Farmhouse!

This was an excellent location for our ski weekend at Granite Peak. Within 15 minutes. Close enough to drive to restaurants in Wasau well.

My wife, infant, and in-laws stayed in this farmhouse for 6 nights. It’s right down the road from my wife’s family, so the location was perfect. Everything was easy about the stay. We even cooked a dinner during the stay and found all of the pots and pans, as needed. Would recommend.

Convenient and Comfortable

Some of our relatives stayed here over my sister's wedding. The location was very convenient as it was just four minutes away from the wedding. Relatives said that it was clean and comfortable. The host was wonderful and worked with us well when we needed to modify the dates we reserved.

Wonderful week!

Two adults, two teens, two “tweens,” and one sweet pup had the best week staying at the farmhouse and skiing at Granite Peak! The house is so cute and cozy, had every amenity our group needed, and only 15 minutes from GP made for easy trips back-and-forth. Great communication with the host as well. Will definitely be back!

Farmhouse Get Away

I would highly recommend this wonderful home in the country if you are looking for a peaceful walk or room for children to play outdoors. The home was very clean and roomy. We are already planning on another time to rent again!!

The Farmhouse

Not being from farm country, this was a fun experience to hang out for a few days on an active farm. The house was very clean and comfortable, and very well appointed with everything we needed. Very nice.

What a GEM!

Our stay was wonderful! Would definitely stay here again for a family vacation! We were guest of a wedding at Willow Springs Garden, less than 4 miles down the road. The home is like stepping into the turn of the century! Loved the vibe! Plenty of room for a big family. Very clean, plenty of room for outdoor fun, everything you need is right here. Farmhouse

This is a very charming old farmhouse. If you arrive at night and have a wild imagination it feels a little spooky. But once the sun's up it's a darling house. Very clean. Well kept. Bedding smelt freshly washed. Lots of really cozy blankets on the bed which was awesome because it was a bit chilly upstairs (again, it is old). Nice big smart TV upstairs. Loved that I got to bring my puppy with! Only complaint would be it would be nice to have a bit more seating! Otherwise, great stay!
