Lydia's Lake Erie Cottage
Lakefront Property- Enjoy what has been called a million dollar view of Lake Erie. Besides the weeping willow and an occasional eagle or crane, the boats passing by are a stunning site. The entire cottage will be yours to enjoy. In addition to other amenities, firewood is provided for an evening by the Solo stove watching the amazing sunsets on Lake Erie. Willoughby has a great selection of restaurants, and boutiques. Ohio's largest beach, Mentor Headlands and Fairport Harbor Beach are a short drive away. We are 30 minutes to Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Parking for two cars is available in the driveway in front of the cottage. Keypad check in is also available. Come enjoy beautiful Lake Erie!!

My husband and I live to the west of the cottage. When it was for sale, we originally bought it so that our five out of town grandchildren would be able to stay with us when they visited from CA and MA. I love decorating and shopping for vintage furniture and so the six months it took to renovate the cottage was very enjoyable. Soon after, we realized the many benefits of sharing it with the wonderful people we have met since renting it as a vacation spot for those who also enjoy the views of Lake Erie. Also, I must admit the grandchildren are now in their 20's and do not visit as often as they use to!! Luckily we have two in town that visit often. We really enjoy being grandparents and hosting our cottage visitors.
Why they chose this property
Besides being on the edge of Lake Erie, our cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood where walkers are welcome. Osborne park at the end of the street provides a pool, tennis courts, walking path, and sports fields. A beautiful ice cream store is also very close by. Downtown Willoughby is a 5 minute drive and provides boutique stores and restaurants.
What makes this property unique
Definitely the location on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie. Also, the friendly city of Willoughby which includes a downtown with many stores and local entertainment in the city park.
