Cozy Cabin #5 is steps away from the kid friendly shared beachfront within Sunset View Resort. The resort grounds are composed of a total of 6 privately owned dwellings. Plenty of room to roam and relax and enjoy the beautiful views the property offers. Outdoor adventures await you and your family and friends. Swimming, fishing, boating or relaxing around the campfire taking in the sunsets and night skies are just a few activities to enjoy during your stay. There is a boat launch, dock, fire pits, and grill for your use.
Sunset View Resort is also conveniently located to other main attractions such as Pictured Rocks National Park, Historical Fayette, Marquette/Presque Isle, Tahquamenon Falls and Mackinaw Island to name a few.
Indian Lake is 4 miles north of Manistique, a charming town which sits on the shores of Lake Michigan, in the heart of the Upper peninsula. Local attractions and activities such as golf at Indian Lakes beautiful 18 hole course or stroll the 2 mile Boardwalk on the beaches of Lake Michigan. Try your luck at the casino or chase the many waterfalls or lighthouses the U.P. offers. A must see is the Big Spring or "Kitch-iti-kipi" just minutes from the resort.

Great Cabin on Indian Lake

My family had a wonderful stay at this cabin in August 2024. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. My kids loved swimming in Indian Lake and we all enjoyed watching the sunset from the campfire.

Our family loved this cabin. Felt like home. Property is beautiful and kept up. 5 mins from town. Central location to many adventures the UP has to offer. Hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. We will be back.

We absolutely loved the cabin, so beautiful and homey. We all loved the town and our host was so easy to work with. We will be returning next year. We give it 10+ starts. Everything we needed was right there. Perfection!

Cabin at the Lake

The cabin was all we had hoped for and more. The only thing that would have improved our stay would to have been on the lake. We had a lake view but not right at the lake.

Manistique Vacation

My family and our 2 dogs stayed at this cabin in June 2024. The cabin was clean and well supplied. The sunset view was amazing. Indian Lake State Park is very close and we used this area to take the dogs for walks on a paved trail there. Some activities we enjoyed were visiting Seney Wildlife Park, Kitchitikipi, golfing, Fayette Historical Park and lighthouses. Indian Lake was very quiet when we were there which was Monday to Friday. Kathy was a wonderful owner to work with for our visit to the Upper Peninsula. She had lots of suggestions for activities and checked to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We visited Clyde’s Drive Inn, Tap 21 while in town. We bought souvenirs from the Made In Michigan store. The grocery store, Jacks Fresh Market, had a great selection of fresh deli items for convenient food and also had a great variety of Michigan beers to try. Overall this was a great stay. Be sure to bring bug spray and sweatshirts in order to enjoy the outdoors.

To little time

This was a wonderful place to stay! Only had to take personal items and food. Rental is very well furnished, tastefully decorated and close to water! The property owners are delightful, friendly and very helpful! I definitely will be staying here again..longer next time!!

Comfort, Quiet and Perfect

Overall, this property was just what we were hoping. We will be back for sure. The home/cabin itself is very charming and homey. It is clean and comfortable, providing plenty of room for a family with the two bath rooms and the family room and kitchen to spread out. It is full of everything you'd associate with the UP and has tons of character. We are normally picky about accommodations and so this was a treat. The grounds are great. It is on a property comprised of several other homes but has room to roam. The views cannot be beat, especially the amazing sunsets over the lake and the forest beyond. It is very well manicured and has a cute beach and shallow swimming area with our kids really enjoyed. Photo ops and firepits included. And Finally, the hosts are amazing. We had the pleasure of meeting the family and getting some great recommendations about the surrounding areas and "must-sees". They are truly one of the best assets associated with the property and they don't even show up in the listing. We will be back up to #5 for a few more sunset drinks with them!
