Location, location, location. Delight in staying in Casa Tho located on a wide quiet street with no buses. There are large trees neighboring the back of the property offering shade and cooler temperatures in Casa Tho.
Casa Tho is furnished and decorated in an eclectic style. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, pots, pans, blender (ready for Margarita time), microwave and panini maker. The large 3 door refrigerator will hold all that you need. You can cook a turkey dinner in the large gas stove and prepare side dishes on the 5 burners. Enjoy a drink on the private covered patio or pool deck. Take a soothing bath or a shower in one of the 2 bathrooms.
The property is completely walled and hidden from the street. Open the solid metal gate to a small courtyard with bamboo palms, a potted fig tree, a small cactus area, potted areca palms, colorful crotons and other tropical plants. Towards the back of the long property is Casa Tho. Pass the owner's home (grey) in the front. Continue past a colorful painted mural, flowering shrubs, a wall of succulents, pink ginger plants, palm tree and the very large pool. Casa Tho (pink) is straight ahead. To the right is Casa Tho's Casita (grey). The casita is a stand-alone 1 bedroom and bathroom that can be rented for an additional fee. Behind Casa Tho is a separate room with a washer and dryer for you to use.
Casa Tho's amazing pool is a large, filtered pool in the center of the property. Guests find pleasure in swimming laps, lounging in the water, relaxing on the sundeck under an umbrella or getting a suntan.
Don’t want to cook? Enjoy eating breakfast, lunch or dinner at the many local restaurants. The location is close to the famous Paseo de Montejo, art galleries, the newly revamped Gastronomical Street, main Cathedral and center of Merida. Taxi, Uber, or Didi is a reliable choice to avoid walking. I can arrange special massages here or day trips to visit ruins, the beach, and tours.
