Relax and enjoy the sounds of lapping waters just feet from the back deck at Picture Perfect! Our house is recently renovated and tastefully decorated with a coastal theme. Located in the town of Colonial Beach on "The Point" and Monroe Bay, we are just 5 blocks away on the other side of the peninsula and the beach areas. Monroe Bay has several marinas where you can dock your boat and enjoy our stunning sunset water views!

Beautiful location!

My husband and i live up the road but we rented this house for his parents, for the weekend. The location is absolutely fantastic and the house is gorgeous. I could have sat on the back deck for hours. Dan was very responsive to all of my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from him, again.

Perfect Place to Stay

We were very impressed with the location and cleanliness of the house. The information on the history of the town and great places to eat or activities in the area was helpful. We would rent from this owner again.

Great place to stay with beautiful views.

We had a great stay, home was just as advertised. Very clean, kitchen was well stocked, nice outside area with great views. Neighborhood was very quiet and safe. We were visited every morning and evening by a mallard couple. One evening we were visited by a couple of swans. Being off-season, dining options were a few, most restaurants had limited seating and limited menus. Dockside was our favorite, Colonial Brewing, Icehouse Brewery were good. We recommend renting a golf cart to get around town. Our visit was March 12-16. Spent one day each at Calverts Cliff and Flag Ponds searching for sharks teeth. Only 30 months from Fredericksburg, nice relaxing visit. Highly recommend this house.

Second time, just as great

This was our second time staying at Picture Perfect and despite the cold weather our stay was comfy and perfect. Our host recommended a couple activities we would not have known about otherwise and we enjoyed them both. We plan to return as soon as possible! We love Colonial Beach and this location is absolutely perfect.

Girls weekend

We had a girls weekend. We had so much fun! The house was exceptionally clean. The weather was beautiful and we sat outside on the deck all weekend. The house was beautiful and it was a great time! We will definitely go back!

Stunning views

Stunning views from the back sliding door and porch. Enjoyed feeding the swans and ducks. Very quiet neighborhood and would suggest a golf cart to get around.

Reflections of a perfect weekend

This was our fourth trip to Colonial Beach and by far the best location we have stayed. Being on the deck enjoying the view of the bay was our favorite place to be. We loved the interior design of the house, but especially loved the outdoor areas. The location to all of our favorite spots (beach and dining) was perfect, being just a short walk or cart ride away. Neighborhood was quiet and the views spectacular. This will be our go to every time we visit!

Picture Perfect!

This property exceeded any expectation I had. The view really is picture perfect. The deck is amazing and we spent a lot of time out there. The inside is equally impressive - beautiful decor, big kitchen with all you need, huge TV! We can’t wait to go back.

What a GREAT house!

We absolutely loved this house! The water view is truly amazing, pictures don’t do it justice. We spent lots of time sitting down by the water, fishing and eating meals on the deck. We enjoyed our visitors including ducks, a swan, herons, turtles and osprey. Just heaven! The house is super clean, thoughtfully organized and has everything you could need. We enjoyed watching the Olympics on the large screen TV too. We really appreciated the extra touches like shampoo/conditioner/body soap in the showers and board/card games. We hope to come back next summer! Now that I’ve seen this view, it will be hard to stay anywhere else!!

Amazing Girls’ weekend trip

This property is definitely a gem! From the moment we walked into the front door and can see straight through the back door onto the water, it was breathtaking. The community was very quiet. Every place we wanted to go was within walking distance so we did. We all agreed that the beds were the best we've ever slept on. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed in the bathrooms and kitchen. They even had citronella candles on the patio. This was a much needed getaway for some old high school friends and thank you for such a beautiful place to spend time together. A couple dining recommendations as well. We walked to Los Hermanos Cantina, excellent drinks and delicious food. We also dined at Sunflower (French/Thai) which was wonderful as well. The sushi was on point as well as the creme brulee for dessert. Dan was a great host and very responsive. We loved everything about it and would love to rebook next year.

Amazing Property

This beautiful cottage is super clean, well equipped, with calming and stylish decor, and superior views. Our group of 3 adults also appreciated the nice linens, comfy mattresses, luggage racks, gas grill, the cool temperature of the home upon our arrival and the timely correspondence with the host.

Beautiful view

The view is beautiful and prefect to just sit outside and unwind. We had a nice dinner on the deck and were able to get some fishing in. My son caught his firsr fish ever. The beach is walkable and I liked how calm the water was. Dan was always quick to reply with any assistance we needed. We plan on making this house a yearly getaway.

A cool place in Hot weather

We came down by boat stayed in a nearby Marina got a golf cart rental and checked in to picture perfect. The house was actually better than we expected very clean and everything you need except for a Keurig coffee maker. ;-)

That view!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It’s the nicest place we’ve stayed in Colonial Beach. Dan, the host, was quick to answer any questions. The home is tastefully decorated and quite comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for the little amount of cooking that we did. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. The view of Monroe Bay was exceptional!! We would love to stay again with friends. The only issue might be the full size beds in the other two bedrooms. That would be a challenge for most couples. We loved our time at this beautiful home!!

Great Getaway to Colonial Beach!

We had a great stay here - the home was clean, nicely decorated, the kitchen was very well stocked and great access to the river. The teens loved being able to step right outside and fish. Good fishing too! We had rainy weather yet that didn't stop us from having a great time. Dan is excellent and timely with his communications too. Hope to return here this summer!

Fabulous property

We booked this property for a girls trip. It is a fabulous property- very clean, beautifully decorated with a great view. It is in a great location and has a lot of good recommendations on places to eat and go. We definitely recommend staying here!
